Genre American Historical Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Destitute after her father’s death, Caroline Douglas finds herself in a bind when the sleazy, rich business owner wants her father’s debt in full. He won’t take ‘no’ or ‘I owe you’ for an answer. She finds herself dragged to the Harlot and the Hero, forced to work off her payment. When she thinks things can’t get worse, they do. To save her reputation, she finds herself saying ‘I do’ to a sexy, overbearing cowboy. Tired of following the rules of men, Caroline decides to push back. Especially against her sexy, all-consuming husband who’s too quick with his discipline techniques
Garrett Rand, a dairy farm owner, and brother to the local sheriff, has spent the last six months requesting the hand of one ‘crofters’ daughter. Blocked at every turn, he starts to give up on ever having her, only to discover she’s in the brothel on the outskirts of Grover Town. Willing to stop at nothing to finally claim the beauty as his wife, in his bed, he makes a deal to get her out of the clutches of one of the richest men in town. However, marrying her is one thing; keeping Caroline out of trouble is another. He’ll just have to keep her over his knee until she learns. When danger strikes the area and threatens the safety of his wife, he will do what’s needed to protect her.
What is your go-to meal when you dine out?
I’m a foodie, so I don’t really have a go-to meal. I’m always on the hunt to try something new. I lean toward new vegan restaurants and I’m partial to Asian food.
Who is your “book boyfriend” (that hottie you read about and drool over)?
I have two, Gabriel and Michael in Robin Schone’s The Lover and Gabriel’s Woman.
When you read for pleasure, what kind of books do you choose?
I usually go for a dark regency historical romance and paranormal romance.
What kinds of things do you read when you’re researching a new book?
Historical wagon trail sagas. I like to read about dreams people had in the 1800’s that drove them to leave home or country and travel west.
If the hero of your latest book called you on the phone, what would be a perfect ringtone for him?
Tennessee Whiskey by Charlie Stapleton

USA Today Bestselling Author Yasmine Hyde is the alter ego of Yvette Hines. Hmm, how does that work? Well, as an author I have to stretch myself. So, when I’m in the mood for a little bit of dirty writing in the late 19th century of Mid-Western America, or maybe feeling a little 1800’s hotness on the streets of England, or just want to write a down and dirty straight erotic story, it will be located under this pen name. So, join me on this journey of writing stories my muse SHE creates, as I obey by tapping away at my laptop keys. I still want to bring readers stories that they will love, I hope, as much as I enjoy writing. Let’s dive in, naughty ones!
