    Cowboy Boss and His Destiny

the groundwork for Mary J McCoy-Dressel to take up the pen and write her own memorable love stories
where love always wins. In her books, whether contemporary, historical, or paranormal,
you can expect a twist and turn along the way, maybe a tear, a laugh, a bit of arousal,
and even a little suspense. She loves to write stories with strong family ties,
lasting friendships, and gentlemen heroes with a touch of bad, with feisty women
who know how to handle them.
She lives in the Great Lake Basin area of the USA. Two grown
sons and an Australian Shepherd fur-baby dog complete her family. Mary loves communicating

The Lighter side of romance but still sensual and sexy. Warm
your heart and give your nerve endings a tingle at the same time.
Tristan Carlson does the best he can to raise his four-year-old
daughter on his own. His mother remains on the Double Dutch to lend a hand—giving
him the ability to maintain the ranch, tend to his horses, and keep up his small-time
ranching magazine. His attractive, new assistant is everything he wants in a woman,
including her ginger-red hair. But from his experience with women lately, he’s learned
that some don’t want a ready-made family. This one seems different, and he’s falling
hard. But, there’s his little blue-eyed girl, and he’ll protect Destiny’s heart
with everything within him. Until he knows for sure…
Living the good life in a big city for many years, Nora Trinity
ends up a statistic after the magazine she works for makes cutbacks. Despite a family

town of Canyon Junction, Arizona, with forgiveness on her mind. When she is hired
by a local rancher to help with his ranching magazine, she finds herself profoundly
attracted to him. The thing is, her sexy boss comes as a package deal, and his little
girl is immediately drawn to her. It’s not just about two hearts taking a chance

Rancher Jase Carlson doesn’t understand the ache in the hollow of his chest, since

are concerned, making him even more pissed off. Harboring a bad attitude, he wishes
he wasn’t a gentleman when he comes to the aid of a quick-tempered, sexy blonde.
He can’t allow her tight jeans and sweet smile to sway him, even after he’s coerced
into spending time alone with her. Fighting the torturous battle going on within
his own mind and body, he can either deal with it—or succumb to the woman who appears
to be everything he didn’t know he needed.
In an attempt to save her rebellious teen sister from herself—as
her guardian, Brenna Page leaves everything behind and moves to Canyon Junction,
Arizona. When she unexpectedly meets a hot-headed cowboy with intense blue eyes

    #amreading Of the Cowboy’s Own Accord a new #Western by @maryjdressel #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and
    introduces the story.

    About the Author

    Early
days of reading romance novels and women’s fiction laid the groundwork for Mary
to take up the pen and write her own memorable love stories where love always
wins. Her novels are emotional and compelling, and characters don’t have an
easy time getting what they want, but their reward is sexy and sweet. In a
lighter style Mary prefers to write more romantic and sensual love stories. She
loves to write stories with strong family ties, lasting friendships, gentlemen
heroes with a touch of bad, and feisty women who know how to handle them.
Her home is in the Great Lake Basin area in
the U.S.A. Two grown sons and an Australian Shepherd fur-baby dog complete her
family. Mary loves communicating with readers and friends. She also has a
mailing list for readers who want to be notified of new releases and important
book updates. Visit her website for more information.

    Interview with Mary J. McCoy-Dressel

    Why did you write
    this book?
Dane Carlson wouldn’t be quiet until he got his own story. Of
the Cowboy’s Own Accord is about the third and youngest brother in my Double
Dutch Ranch Series: Love at First Sight. Since this is a series, I wanted each brother to have their own book. Dane’s
story definitely had to be told.
    What is your favorite
    genre to read?
I like reading a variety of contemporary romance genres—romantic
suspense, military, and an occasional erotic romance, but my favorite is contemporary western romance. Love those cowboys.
    Who is your favorite
character from fiction (not including your own)?
Darn! Even picking one of my own would be difficult. I began
reading romance novels with Kathleen E. Woodiwiss and Rosemary Rogers. Yes, way
back then. In truth, I’ve read and enjoyed too many books to choose just one
favorite character. I call most of them my favorite by time I get to the end of
    a book.
    What are you working
on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
Due to being sick recently and preparing to move, I’m
supposed to be taking a break, but I began two books that I know readers are
waiting for. The first is the fifth book in the Double Dutch Ranch Series, and
the other is book three in the Bull Rider Series. When life mellows out, I’ll
dedicate my time to one of those books instead of trying to work on both at the
same time. More than likely, book three in the Bull Rider Series will be that
book. If only my characters from the ranch will leave me alone long enough.
    This is doubtful.
    Please tell us about
    your latest book.

Of the Cowboy’s Own Accord is the fourth book in this
sensual western romance series and numbered three. How can it be number three
when this is the fourth book? I wrote a mid-length novel numbered 1.5 in the
    series—a follow-up to book one.
    Blurb:
    Army Ranger Dane Carlson never
means to fall in love before leaving
for another tour of duty, but unexpectedly, he does. While deployed, he finds
himself being sent home early to the family ranch to make a heartrending
decision. Little does he know he isn’t the only
one making decisions. His first priority is to rekindle the flame after losing
communication with Gracelyn Clark. The woman who owns his heart and has since
the moment their gaze connects. But now, nothing is the same as when they met.
The first round of news is surprise
enough, yet Gracelyn continues to release shocking information detrimental to
their future. Can they make it work
after so few days together seven months ago? Adjusting to many new things in
his life isn’t easy as it is, so to pull himself back to the man he’s become, could be the biggest test of all—in
    order to protect his own.
Challenges abound even as Dane and
Gracelyn come to terms with the decisions they’ve made. Whatever tomorrow
    brings, their only choice is
acceptance—to take one day at a time and face life as it comes.

    Accidentally Writing a Series @authorkristina #RLFblog #western

I probably shouldn’t admit this, but
I never set out to write a trilogy about three sisters who grew up and apart in
Texas. I started out wanting to write Kathleen’s story – the story of a modern woman
who isn’t afraid to take what she wants in business but is very much afraid of admitting
what she wants for herself. Then I started to write that story and new people started
    cropping up, namely her sisters.

There was Vanessa, who was spoiled
and lost and eversoslightly demanding. There was Monica who thought she had everything
    – a great career, a man waiting at home – she could ever want. And neither one would
leave me along long enough to get a firm handle on Kathleen’s story. So I started
writing down bits of backstory for Vanessa and Monica in separate files – enough
to keep them happy, not enough to take the spotlight away from Kathleen – and kept
    pushing forward.
The more I wrote down bits of Vanessa’s
and Monica’s stories, the more I wanted to tell their stories, too. Not because
I didn’t love Kathleen, but because I loved Kathleen. She was getting her happily
ever after and while her story was a fun one to tell, I felt badly that Vanessa
and Monica were stuck in a kind of romance-limbo. So, I fiddled a little more and
wondered what could be the absolute worst thing that could happen for each of them.
And then I did what is probably the
scariest thing I’ve ever done (at least so far): I sent my editor a proposal based
on rough character sketches, a sample chapter and what can never be called actual
synopsis’ – and not just because the final drafts of the stories only loosely resemble
them. The second scariest moment: when my editor emailed to say she loved the ideas
and wanted me to write the stories. And attached two contracts to the email. Signing
a contract for two books that were still mostly in my head? Freaky!
But, I wrote and wrote and revised
and I did get to tell Vanessa and Monica’s stories – and a little birdie tells me
I may even have made my editor a little weepy at one point.
For a limited time, all three of those
original books – What a Texas Girl Wants, What a Texas Girl Needs and What a Texas
Girl Dreams – are available in one boxed set called Texas Wishes ~ and you can put
them all on your e-reader for $0.99! What a steal!
Kristina Knight turns up the heat
under the Texas sun with three cowboys ready to rope your heart and the feisty
ladies who wrangle them. Enjoy a boot-stomping good time with these captivating
    couples.

    About the Book

What a Texas Girl Wants: The last thing Jackson Taylor wants
in his life is a down-to-earth girl like Kathleen Witte, so why did he just
wake up next to her on a Mexican beach with a ring on his finger? Once they’re
back in Texas though, this all-business marriage might just turn into an all-consuming
    love.
What a Texas Girl Needs: Matias Barnes knows all about
society women like Vanessa Witte. It’s part of the reason he left his wealthy
family behind and took a job on a ranch. But while Mat knows she’s so not right
for him, can he resist her charms long enough to really let her go?
What a Texas Girl Dreams: They are opposites in so many
ways, but the more veterinarian Trickett Samuels gets to know footloose and
fancy free Monica Witte, the more he wonders if he can convince this Texas girl
that having roots will only help her soar higher.

    Lauren Linwood’s Ballad Beauty @LaurenLinwood #cowboys #RLFblog

    Ballad Beauty
Romance Lives Forever welcomes Lauren Linwood, historical
    western romance author.

    About the Author

Lauren Linwood became a teacher who wrote on the side to maintain
her sanity in a sea of teenage hormones. Her historical romances use history as
a backdrop to place her characters in extraordinary circumstances, where their intense
desire for one another grows into the treasured gift of love. Her romantic suspense
novels feature strong heroes and heroines who unite to defeat a clever antagonist
and discover a deep, abiding love during their journey.
A native Texan, Lauren lives in a Dallas suburb with her family.
An avid reader, moviegoer, and sports fan, she manages stress by alternating yoga
with long walks. She plans to start a support group for House Hunters addicts—as
soon as she finishes her next piece of dark chocolate.

    Interview with Lauren Linwood

    Why did you write this
    book?
I’d written five previous historical romances, but I’d never
mined the gold in my native state of Texas! I decided it was time to feature a hero
who lived here, and the first thing that came to mind was a Texas Ranger. They helped
tamed Texas from the wild land that it was. My twist? My hero is the son of an infamous
outlaw and chose to become a lawman because of what he’d seen in his childhood.
He knows exactly what his daddy is, but the heroine he falls for has no idea that
her father is also an outlaw—and partner-in-crime to the hero’s daddy!
    What is your favorite
    genre to read?
Since I was a history teacher for many years, I enjoy authors
who combine pieces of history within thrillers. Steve Berry, David Baldacci, and
Brad Meltzer are some of the best at this.
    Who is your favorite character
from fiction (not including your own)?
Hands down, it’s Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird. He’s
a hero in every sense of the word, and I admire his moral core and what a great
father he is to his two children.
    What are you working on
at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I’m pleased to announce that I’ve dipped my toe into the romantic
suspense pond after releasing six historicals. Leave Yesterday Behind will be released
in June. I have another medieval historical, A Knight for Kallen, coming out in
the fall, and early in 2016 my second romantic suspense, Illusions of Death, will
appear. I’ve just finished another western which I’m letting ferment a bit before
I send it off to my editor, and I’m 25 chapters into another romantic suspense that’s
    set in Dallas.
    Please tell us about your
    latest book.
After ten years apart, Boston schoolmarm Jenny McShanahan receives
a letter from her beloved father that instructs her to join him in Texas. She has
no idea that he’s become Famous Sam McShan, the Robin Hood of the West. She arrives
to find Sam already gone, but he left instructions for Jenny to hire a guide and
    rendezvous with him in Nevada.
Texas Ranger Noah Daniel Webster knows Sam personally because
his father, Pistol Pete Webber, was Sam’s longtime partner in crime. When Pete is
killed during their last big score, Noah requests the assignment to bring Sam to
justice. Going undercover, he volunteers to act as Jenny’s escort across the dangerous
prairie, using her to track her outlaw father’s location.
As they journey through rough country, love blossoms—but Noah
knows the second he arrests Sam, his betrayal will kill Jenny’s love for him. Should
the lawman do his duty as a Ranger, or should he let love rule? The choice Noah
makes will change their lives forever.

  • 5 Easy Questions,  Modern Western

    Barbara White Daille Cowboy’s Little Surprise @BarbaraWDaille #RLFblog #cowboys

Barbara White Daille author of The Cowboy’s Little Surprise answers
five easy questions to help readers get to know her better.

    Author Bio

Barbara White Daille lives with her husband in the sunny U.S.
Southwest, where they don’t mind the lizards in their front yard but could do without
    the scorpions in the bathroom.
A writer from the age of nine and a novelist since eighth grade,
Barbara is now an award-winning author with a number of novels to her credit.
The first book in The Hitching Post Hotel series, The Cowboy’s
Little Surprise, debuts in April 2015, followed by A Rancher of Her Own in July
and an as-yet-untitled book in December.
    When you read for pleasure,
what kind of books do you choose?
Romance, romantic suspense, mystery. Sometimes YA. Whatever it
is, I like something with a romantic relationship in it.
    What’s your favorite down-home
    family style meal?
Pot roast with carrots, potatoes, onions, and brown gravy, with
plenty of everything for leftovers. Yum!
    What is your go-to meal
    when you dine out?
Really, Alaskan King crab legs, but since they’re pricey, I only
do that if we’re celebrating something special. On a regular night out, anything
Italian—lasagna, baked ziti, stuffed shells. A salad on the side. A full bread basket
with warm olive oil and herbs. My only regret is most Italian restaurants don’t
    serve brownies or chocolate cake!
    Describe the perfect vacation.
A condo near a beach, where we could take long walks at night,
view the stars and listen to the surf. Nearby, there would have to be good restaurants,
an ice cream parlor, and a shop that sold decadent chocolate desserts. And of course,
I’d have to have access to many quiet, comfortable spots where I could curl up with
    a book.
    Tell us about your favorite
    toy as a child.
My favorite toy was a book. I don’t mean to “cheat,”
but I wasn’t into much of anything else. I spent all my free time reading—and wish
I could still do that now. A book was always at the top of my list when anyone asked
what I wanted for my birthday or Christmas, and I loved loved LOVED getting the
next Bobbsey Twins or Nancy Drew or Trixie Belden in the series.
