Genre: Contemporary romance
Book heat level: PG13
Why Is Tanner Jones Back In Town?
Seven-year-old Kevin has been a handful for single mom Sarah Lindstrom, and when the new sheriff walks through her door holding her son by the scruff of his neck for egging his car, she knows she’s lost control. But can she control herself–and keep the secret she’s kept for so many years?
Tanner Jones has no idea Kevin is his son–he lost the right to that information when he abandoned Sarah soon after graduation. Just because he’s back in town doesn’t mean he can waltz into her life–and Kevin’s–to pick up where they left off. But Sarah can’t deny the feelings she still harbors for Tanner, and can’t deny how her son is benefiting from his attentions.
When Tanner finds out the truth, what is he going to do?

A man plagued by visions, a woman who knows only one way to help. Too bad he doesn’t believe in her remedy. But will he fight her or give in? And will he find more than he bargained for in her ideas, and in her arms?

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?

As Dee S Knight I write mostly contemporary erotic romance. I’ve also written two futuristic ménage romances. My Anne Krist persona writes sweet(er) romance and Jenna Stewart writes ménage: historical and contemporary.

How does one not come up with ideas?? But if I ever find myself at a loss, I just drive around for awhile and listen to a country music station.
What is the single most important part of writing for you?

Making sure the storytelling is right. Every other thing about writing is important, but if the story isn’t right, it doesn’t matter.

In 2002. Impatient Passion was published on Valentine’s Day, 2003.

Know the Hero from Space Cowboy Blues a story by Alice Renaud in the BVS anthology Cowboy Desire @alicerauthor #RLFblog #ParanormalRomance #SciFiHere are some fun questions to help us know your hero.

It’s late, he’s bored. What does he do?

He saddles his horse (or whatever alien species he’s tamed) and goes for a ride by the light of the moon (or whichever satellite orbits the planet he’s on).

What kind of food would he impulse buy if hungry?

A juicy beef burger with all the trimmings. Although he’s happy to eat whatever alien food is put in front of him, he still likes Earth food the best.

Describe the kind of clothes he prefers to wear.

He likes to wear his traditional Earth cowboy garb – jeans, checkered shirt, cowboy hat.

Does he know how to fix things?

He can fix most things on Earth, but for his spaceship and alien machinery he relies on the clever robots who accompany him.

He tried to do something and it went badly. Tell us about it.

On the blue planet Albastra, he fell for the beautiful alien Melynas. He went on a date with her and almost took off his mask to kiss her. It would have been the death of him – Albastra’s atmosphere is saturated with radiation and micro-organisms which are lethal to humans.

How does he act around children he doesn’t know?

He likes children and is very natural around them. He likes to talk and play with them. Deep down, he longs to be a dad.

What is he like first thing in the morning?

Bright eyed and bushy tailed. Cowboys get up early!

How does he act around people who don’t know what he is?

He’s friendly and very polite with everyone he meets – be they human, alien or even machine.

Will he let a worker handle things or do it himself?

He will do it himself if he can, but he knows his limitations – complex technology is best left to robots.

Earrings/piercings/tattoos or unadorned skin?

Unadorned skin. Space cowboys generally don’t do piercings or tattoos as they can interfere with the skin treatments required to travel in space and visit alien planets.

Personal vehicle or public transport?

Recycle or toss?

Always recycle. He’d never dream of polluting another planet.

Thanks for helping us get to know your hero!

What is your go-to meal when you dine out?

I’m a foodie, so I don’t really have a go-to meal. I’m always on the hunt to try something new. I lean toward new vegan restaurants and I’m partial to Asian food.

Who is your “book boyfriend” (that hottie you read about and drool over)?

I have two, Gabriel and Michael in Robin Schone’s The Lover and Gabriel’s Woman.

When you read for pleasure, what kind of books do you choose?

I usually go for a dark regency historical romance and paranormal romance.

What kinds of things do you read when you’re researching a new book?

Historical wagon trail sagas. I like to read about dreams people had in the 1800’s that drove them to leave home or country and travel west.

If the hero of your latest book called you on the phone, what would be a perfect ringtone for him?

Read Stetson’s Lady (The Diamond Ring Book 1) by Ronni Griffith @romanceronni #RLFblog #ContemporaryWesternRonni Griffith, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Stetson’s Lady.

Stetson’s Lady (The Diamond Ring Book 1) by Ronni Griffith

Genre Contemporary Western/Cowboy Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

He’s a man who has it all–but the lady he truly loves.

Mesa Stone left Maple Ridge to get away from her best friend’s overbearing, headstrong brother, Stetson McKane. She’s been head-over-heels in love with the sexy-as-sin cowboy since she was a little girl. Now she’s back–and drinking her sorrows away at the McKane’s annual BBQ–when she finds herself at the mercy of Stetson’s archrival.

Stetson knew Mesa was back in town, but what he didn’t expect was to find her in the arms of his nemesis. He’s been rescuing his little sister’s best friend, Mesa, since she was a tomboy in pigtails. To his amazement, the little girl who drove him crazy is all grown up and Stetson finds he doesn’t have the will power to resist her any longer.

Neither can deny the heat rising between them, but between his ex who won’t take no for an answer, and Blaine’s schemes of revenge, it seems Stetson and Mesa don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of making it work.

But it’s true what people say about things being bigger in Texas–whether it’s a stubborn male ego, a heart full of love…or the red-hot attraction between two people who belong together.

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?

No. Right now I only write contemporary/western. Maybe as my writing career progresses I’ll venture out into more genres. Being from Texas, my three favorite types of men are, Oilmen, Cowboys, and Athletes. This being said, I’m a huge sports fan. I think it’d be kinda fun to venture out one day, and try my hand at something sports related. I guess time will only tell.

How do you come up with ideas?…

So, I have ideas pop in my head all the time. I’ve even woken up in the middle of the night with ideas. I can listen to music, watch a TV show, talk to people at the grocery store and walk away with an idea for my book. Some of them come from past and present situations I’ve been in. Some of my best ideas come to me when I’m in the shower (that’s always interesting to jump out of the shower to grab a pen and paper to jot the idea down before it’s gone forever). I’m a pretty observant person. Just watching and talking to people give me a lot of ideas. So the short answer, I get ideas everywhere I go and pretty much everyone I come in contact with. So, like I tell my family and friends, be careful what you say and do around me, because more than likely it’ll end up in a book of mine one of these days.

What is the single most important part of writing for you?…

Writing, for me, gives me an outlet. It sounds crazy, but writing is kinda like playing my music. For the time I’m writing, I get to shut off the outside world and bury myself into the lives of my characters. I know they have their issues and things they have to go through before they get to their happily ever after, but they get there. I was an avid reader before stepping out and writing my own book. One thing I always appreciated about what authors do, is they gave me a few hours to escape everyday life. I’d like to think I give readers the same thing.

When did you write your first book?…

I spent five years on Stetson’s Lady before it was finally released. My book has been critiqued by other well known authors and close friends. It’s been edited several times and rewritten more than twice. The day my editor told me I should delete 20K words because it was way too long, I almost cried. I wrote “The End” in Maui, on November 5, 2016 and it was put out into the world on November 3, 2020. It’s a long road but one I’ll cherish forever. It’s amazing to me how fast book two is going when the first one took a long time.

Leather or lace? Leather, for sure.

Black or red? Black

Satin sheets or smooth cotton? Smooth cotton

Ocean or mountains? This is a hard one. It depends on which beach I’m at. If it’s tropical, for sure the ocean. If not, take me to the mountains.

City life or country life? I’m a born and raised country girl.

Party life or evening at home? Now-a-days, evening at home.

Dogs or cats? Dogs all the way.
