From the cold Canadian border, the US1 runs along the east coast with patience. Southbound, always south, until it reaches the Sunshine State. Not the fastest way, sure, but if you have time to drive it all the way down, you might find yourself lost in one of the coastal towns that dot the US1 like little jewels. Maybe that town’s name is Crescent Creek. These are the stories of its people.
All Those Miles I Walked ~ The family man and the gypsy
Painted Love ~ The upstanding citizen and the thief.

Come and join them for a collection of stories that will keep you warm even in the coldest day.

Beach bum and country music addicted, Viviana lives in a small Floridian town with her husband and her son, her die-hard fans and personal cheer squad. She spends her days between typing on her beloved keyboard, playing in the pool with her boy, and eating whatever her husband puts on her plate (the guy is that good, and she really loves eating). Besides beaching, she enjoys long walks, horse-riding, hiking, and pretty much whatever she can do outside with her family.

His Midnight Sun by Viviana MacKade

Genre: Contemporary romantic suspense
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG-13
Tormented, fierce, and broken, sculptor Aidan Murphy has judged himself guilty. He yearns for love but pushes everyone away. He longs for acceptance but has lost the key to open his heart. Until he meets Summer Williams. Beautiful and smart, Dr. Williams promises haven for a man who believes he deserves none. All he has to do is let her in and risk his heart and soul.
Summer’s managed to keep her inner light alive, even through tragedy. She’s created a new life for herself and her daughter in Crescent Creek with loving, caring and fun friends–well, except brooding, breathtaking Aidan. She’s used to keeping away from his type, though. All she has to do is ignore the pull of a man who’s turning up to be much more than snarls and storms. Will her compassion and medical instincts let her?
Love can heal a broken soul and shake up a timid heart. Or it can unleash devastation and revenge.
Will Aidan and Summer survive the hurricane?
What’s your favorite down-home family style meal?
Cold cuts, lasagna, beef stew with lots of sauce, roasted potatoes and Tiramisú.
What is your go-to meal when you dine out?
Ribs. I have to admit I’m a bit of a food snob, with me being Italian and all that, so I usually eat at home. But ribs. Sweet Jesus, no-one makes ribs like you guys do. And I can start a discussion on how your meat tastes better at any given time.
Who is your “book boyfriend” (that hottie you read about and drool over)?
Nora Roberts. The MacKade Brothers. Shane. Yep, him. Still him. Can’t get over that man.
Tell us about your favorite toy as a child.
It wasn’t a toy as much as a place and a game. I grew up on a farm, lots of fields. I loved playing treasure hunt, so I would hide something somewhere (the asparagus rows were the best), draw the map and look for it and dig it out. Man, my grandfather was NOT happy about that…
When you read for pleasure, what kind of books do you choose?
It depends on what I need. Sometimes I need a laugh and I look for a nice comedy. Other time I get stuck with some paranormal weirdo (I was stuck on dragons for some time, then angels, then back to vampires…). Other time I need adventure and I go for romantic suspense. But it’s alll depending only mood.

Know the Hero from His Midnight Sun

Here are some fun questions to help us know your hero.

For Contemporary Heroes:

It’s late, he’s bored. What does he do?
Aidan would go to his studio and work on some custom piece. He doesn’t care much for those, they don’t ‘speak’ to him, but he loves the act of sculpting and there’s always some deadline he wants to meet.
What kind of food would he impulse buy if hungry?
Boston Cream Doughnuts, a box of six, that he would wolf up in one go and drawn down with Irish Black tea. He swears the Irish tea tastes different than regular Breakfast tea. I tried both, and I think the difference is in his head but please, don’t tell him I said that much. We fought enough on the matter and frankly, I don’t care.
Describe the kind of clothes he prefers to wear.
Jeans and T-shirt, the state of which goes from normal (for day-to-day life) to things so old and worn out they are slightly better than old rags (when he works).
Does he know how to fix things?
Yes. Now, whether or not he does fix them, it’s a different matter. If he likes it (truck, fishing gears, everything related to his work) sure, he’s on it. Boring stuff like a leaking faucet or a broken garbage disposal? Forget it. He’ll pay someone to do it.
How does he act around children he doesn’t know?
He’s great with kids, a fact that had left everyone, Aidan included, surprised. He’d play with the kid, entertain him or her.
What is he like first thing in the morning?
Aidan doesn’t do many mornings, he’s not one for routine. He’d sleep when tired, get up when he’s done. Now, with Summer and Chloe, he’s a little more civilized and follows the girl’s rhythms (unless he’s working on a piece). He’s… normal. Not really grumpy or anything. Well, not grumpiER than usual.
Can he use chopsticks?
Yes.
Does he drink coffee? If so, how does he take it? If not, what does he drink instead?
He does, black, but black tea is more his thing.
Beard or clean-shaven?
Five-o-clock shadow going on unshaved, which is different than having a beard. He simply shaves when he wants to.
Earrings/piercings/tattoos or unadorned skin?
A tattoo over his heart, an Irish cross.
Personal vehicle or public transport?
Personal vehicle.
Recycle or toss?
Toss.
Thanks for helping us get to know your hero!

He’d loved once and when she’d left, his strong heart had crumbled like a sandcastle. Now DJ is back, and Scott wants nothing to do with her. The problem? They share Eva, a close friend of both, and now Eva needs their help. Because of her, he’s stuck with DJ and he’d be damned, the woman still gets under his skin.
