Fall For You by Susan Behon.

Interview with Reed Sutton
Tell us about yourself, please.
Let’s see, where should I start? (Gives a gorgeous smile, with
dimples included.) Hello, my name is Reed Sutton and I’m addicted to chocolate chip
cookies. Just kidding. I’m addicted to the baker of the cookies, Sophie Brandon.
Have you tried the cookies at The Cookie Jar, if not…wait, I’m getting off track.
Let me back up. Since ending my enlistment in the Navy, I’ve
moved back to Madison Falls to run the family construction company. I like Pina
Coladas and getting caught in the rain. Do you like that song? It’s been in my brain
all day. I like to sing karaoke. Do you like karaoke? You should try it. (Hums the
Pina Colada song.) Anyway, I think that covers it. Any other questions?
Authors call what you want but cannot have “the conflict”
— what is yours?
I want to be with Sophie all the time but she won’t get naked
in the bakery. Just kidding again. Don’t tell her I said that. My real conflict
is trying to woo Sophie without my family getting in the way again. We were kept
apart years ago before I joined the Navy. I know she wants me, but a certain family
member is trying to screw up her bakery business, which in turn, is giving Sophie
second thoughts.
What can you not do (but need to do) during this story?
I’m trying to understand the cause of the rift between Sophie
and my family. I’d like everyone to get along but a family member has told some
serious lies and omitted some important information.
What inner doubt causes you the most difficulty?
I have trouble coming to terms with the fact that a family member
is capable of committing a certain act of cruelty.
In the story world your author created, explain what it is
you fear most and why.
I fear Sophie dumping me in order to save her bakery. Someone
close to me could easily run her business into the ground.
Tell us about your significant other, that person who makes
living worthwhile.
Sophie? (Smiles proudly.) You’d love Sophie. She’s a sweetheart.
I don’t even know where to start. She’s amazing. Sophie is smart, beautiful, talented,
amazing—wait, I said that already—but it’s worth repeating. She is so short and
cute, with the most beautiful big green eyes. She looks like a sexy anime character.
Don’t tell her I said that either, okay? She says she refuses to be compared to
a cartoon, even a sexy one. Sophie is, well, Sophie’s my heart.
About the Writer
Susan Behon, author of the Madison Falls Series, enjoys creating
a world that brings readers romance, laughter, and a healthy dose of sexiness. Susan
graduated summa cum laude with a B. A. in English from Norfolk State University.
She currently lives in Ohio with her very own romance hero of a husband and their
two wonderful daughters.
What was your biggest challenge in writing this book?
I think my biggest challenge was to get all of the ideas in my
head to make sense once they hit the page. I’m my own worst critic.
Why did you choose this character for the interview today?
I chose Reed because he’s a people person. He loves to talk about
Sophie to anyone who would listen to him.
When writing the book, what did you discover about this character
that surprised you?
I discovered that sweet Reed Sutton likes to talk dirty while
making love to Sophie.
Are any sequels planned for this book?
Absolutely. I planned it as a series. More Than Words, Book 2,
comes out May 11 and Made For Me, Book 3 is currently being written.
What genre(s) would you like to write that you haven’t tried
yet?
I would love to try romantic suspense or maybe a paranormal romance.
What would your readers be surprised to learn about you?
I’m a left-handed, green-eyed, triplet.
Why should readers who haven’t picked up one of your books
before give this one a try?
It has everything: romance, steamy love scenes, humor, action,
and an intriguing story line.
