Storm Crazy Bonus Edition by Livia Quinn @LiviaQuinn #RLFblog #Paranormal #PNR

Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

Storm Crazy Bonus Edition (Books 1 and 2)

Storm Crazy Bonus Edition is Book 1 and 2 in the Destiny Paramortals’ world of tempestaeries (storm witches), dragons, shifters, vampires and fae.
Welcome to Destiny, or I should say Middle Earth…
*Jack Lang, sheriff, former Navy pilot. * To say Destiny was not what I expected would be like saying Wolverine’s fingernails were long enough for a manicure. I’d been looking for Mayberry, a quaint little safe town to raise my daughter. That ship sailed when I met Tempest Pomeroy, who turned out to be a storm witch with a djinni brother and an ex who was… hell, I don’t know what he is. But I wasn’t sure I could stay. I had a teenage daughter to consider.
*Tempe Pomeroy, Tempestaerie, mail lady, and – as Jack likes to say – trouble magnet.* Isn’t it just like a man to exit a relationship when he finds out a woman has a few little secrets? Following Jack’s, um, enlightenment, he finally started investigating my little brother’s disappearance, but time is running out and our relationship has gone from attraction to suspicion, support to friendship, romance to oh-my-god-get-away-from-me revulsion.
Jack’s an ex-Navy pilot. He says he wants to know “everything”. He may stick around, help me save my brother and discover the whereabouts of my parents, but I doubt he’ll still want to take me to the Mardi Gras ball, once he knows “everything”. He’ll probably take the first jet out of Middle Earth. ‘Cause there’s a lot of everything…
Book five, Take These Broken Wings completes Tempe and Jack’s um…series of epiphanies, grin. But the series continues with River’s story, Blood Moon, book six, available now for 99 cents in the Moonlight Magic box.

Livia Quinn author of Storm Crazy @liviaquinn #RLFblog #Paranormal

Livia Quinn is a DC native living on the bayou in Louisiana. With a lifelong fascination (read that: phobia) of storms it was only natural that it would play a big part in the world of Storm Lake. Her former jobs as a mail lady, plant manager, and business owner have stocked her brain full of quirky characters she can’t wait to share with her readers.
What’s your favorite down-home family style meal? Home-made enchiladas. I have a great recipe for chili that I cook down the second or third day and top corn tortillas, filled with sweet onion and cheddar cheese with the chili. OMG, I must go make some chili…
What is your go-to meal when you dine out?
Longhorn – filet mignon, baked potato and salad. I’m almost always traveling because there aren’t any near me in Louisiana.
Who is your “book boyfriend” (that hottie you read about and drool over)?
Hmm, it’s still between J.D. Robb’s Roarke and Matthew Clairmont from Deborah Harkness’ All Souls Trilogy. Start on either one, they’re like chocolate. Dark, luscious, addicting, yummy…
What’s your favorite hashtag to watch on Twitter?
    #military #romance
    Describe the perfect vacation.
Any activity that takes me anywhere in Scotland for an extended amount of time whether its festivals, hiking, touring or writing.
    What are your hobbies?
Oil painting, guitar, reading (of course)
When you read for pleasure, what kind of books do you choose?
If it’s for relaxation, often I read historical romance like Grace Burrowes and most recently Deborah Harkness
What kinds of things do you read when you’re researching a new book?
Since I write contemporary and paranormal romance I will read something with the same flavor as what I’m working on. Humorous paranormal, military romance, Darynda Jones, Kristan Painter, Jill Shalvis, Barbara Freethy
If the hero of your latest book called you on the phone, what would be a perfect ringtone for him?
Oh this is perfect. Jack Lang’s ringtone Aerosmith’s Crazy
“It’s time for you to change your crazy ways, ya hear me?”

Before I left for work, I discovered my brother’s amphora missing from the mantle—that’s genie bottle to you mere-mortals— and on my first delivery, a handsome scantily clad doctor triggered some sort of hallucination with just a touch. Pheromones? Then one of my customers had a stroke while reading me the riot act over a piece of mail, but I saved the old grouch with a zap of my Zeus juice, only to have Destiny’s hunky new sheriff show up minutes later.
And again, when the owner of Flowers by Dick filed a complaint against me for dropping a seventy-five pound box on his foot. Yeah, I did it, but it was kind of an accident. He put his hand where it didn’t belong and I… sorta dropped the box. Things went downhill from there.
I discovered a dead body in the clubhouse and rescued my brother’s amphora from a locker, bashing it in with a Greg Norman wedge…and guess who showed up?

Storm Crazy (Book 1) is Free #paranormal by @liviaquinn #RLFblog

Storm Crazy (Book 1) by Livia Quinn is currently Free.

    About the Author
Livia Quinn is a DC native transplanted into the heart of Louisiana. Inspired (or terrorized) by the severe weather in the South, she started writing her Storm Lake series the summer of Katrina. She’s written 9 books based in the communities of Storm Lake – Destiny, Larue, and Thunder Point.
    Interview with Livia Quinn
Why did you write this book?
I began writing stories about the communities surrounding Storm Lake in 2005. Storm Crazy started out as a cozy mystery about a rural carrier (and her wacky customers) who finds a dead body in the clubhouse. Back then, it was called Murder on a Bad Male Day ;) but it morphed into a cozy paranormal as my heroine struggled to control the crazy things happening around her and her impending quickening as a storm fairy. The whole dead body in the clubhouse thing took on bigger implications when it was connected to her brother’s missing genie bottle. And things just kept happening…
What is your favorite genre to read?
I can’t say I have a favorite although I love the edge and the extra escape value paranormal adds to a story. When I need to relax though, I’ll pick up a historical romance since I can resist the urge to analyze them knowing I couldn’t write one if I wanted to. Magic happens everywhere to some extent, so on my lake you’ll find both of these genres. Storm Lake West – Destiny – has a community of supernatural defenders, while in Larue and Thunder Point (Storm Lake East) you’ll meet the military heroes of my contemporary romance titles.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Well, Jamie Fraser aside, it would have to be Roarke, J.D. Robb’s hero. Here again, the paranormal/futuristic element of this series lends so much to his persona. He’s got it ALL, including his own planet. And it doesn’t hurt that a Roarke and Eve book comes out several times a year.
What are you working on at the moment, and what will we see from you in coming months?
Take These Broken Wings is book 5 in the Destiny Paramortals which will be out in a couple months as well as the sixth book, Bad Moon Rising, toward the end of the year. In addition, the next book in the Storm Lake East series, Eye of the Storm is coming up in the Fall.
Please tell us about your book.
I’m Tempest Pomeroy, and my human job is delivering the mail. To say I was having a bad day would be like saying Katrina dropped a little rain on New Orleans. First, River’s amphora went missing—that’s genie bottle to you mere-mortals. I know— the names right? We were just lucky we didn’t end up as Black Cloud and Little Sprinkle. Or Flash and Flood. With my hair, I’d have been Flash. I’m also a Paramortal like the rest of my family. Or I’m supposed to be. If it wasn’t for a few little talents I’d think I was adopted.
On my first delivery, a scantily clad doctor triggered a hallucination when we touched. Pheromones? An old trouble-maker had a stroke but I saved the old fart with a zap of my Zeus juice! It was the first time I’d actually called my power on purpose, and our hunky new sheriff almost saw me use my magic—big no-no. He showed up again when the owner of Flowers by Dick complained that I’d dropped a seventy-five pound box on his foot. Yeah, I did, but it was an accident. He put his hand on my butt and my hands sorta… slipped. Then things really went downhill.
I discovered a dead body while rescuing River’s bottle from a locker as the sheriff arrived again. Now, my brother’s missing, my mother’s AWOL and the sheriff and my ex-lover are squaring off like yard dogs staking a claim on a poodle. I am no one’s poodle. Aurora says all this chaos is a sign of my quickening power and things are only going to get worse.
Oh, and the sheriff? He thought he’d settled in a normal small town to raise his teenage daughter. Like Mayberrry. We’ll see how that turns out. Things had better settle down soon, ‘cause I’m about to go Storm Crazy.
