The Pride of a Gentleman @lindaraesa #RLFblog #regency
Welcome Linda Rae Sande author of The Pride of a Gentleman, a new early Regency romance. Why did you write this book? This is the second book in the epic series, “The Cousins of the Aristocracy”. Although it can be read as a standalone, it’s a follow-up to The Promise Of A Gentleman and features the four couples that ended up together at the end of that epic historical romance. Their stories certainly didn’t end there, as they’ve all been included as minor characters in some other of my books that take place in 1814 – 1818. After sixteen novels, my Regency world has grown rather large, but I’m careful to keep track of everyone and all their relations. What is your favorite genre to read?Regency romances, although I used to read science fiction exclusively for many years.Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?Susan Calvin from Isaac Asimov’s “Robot” series. What are you working on at the moment?Book 3 in “The Widows of the Aristocracy” series. What books will we see from you in coming months? The Honeymoon of a Marquess is up next, a sensual tale featuring two couples that end up courting and marrying over the course of just a couple of days. As with most of my other books, it includes a good deal of humor and a surprising hero. The other hero is a “silver fox”. I love writing older characters and have begun featuring more of them in my books. Please tell us about your latest book.Genre Regency romanceBook heat level (based on movie ratings): RFirst comes matchmaking. Then comes marriage. Then comes a baby carriage … well, usually.Life in 1802 London throbs with great expectations and unlimited potential. A house under renovation reveals its secrets, and newlyweds Gregory and Christiana Grandby embark on a wedding trip to Italy, determined to keep their secret.Thomas Wellingham’s import business grows faster than he can manage with his brash and brave new wife Emma as head accountant.Thomas’ best friend, Todd Vandermeer, accepts his offer of employment despite concerns about the viability of Wellingham Imports. His wife, Deborah, is expecting their first child, after all, and he needs the position. Now that he’s completed his life’s work renovating every townhouse his wife, Sophia, owns, James Simpson is ready for a new job—that of father. Having informed Sophia he would like an heir, he’s surprised to discover plans for a family aren’t so far-fetched. But can she abide a late-in-life pregnancy and the possibility of heartbreak should it all go wrong? Can best friends and family remain so when life doesn’t quite get it right? Are romance and marriage compatible, reconcilable? Perhaps, but only if they can overcome “The Pride of a Gentleman.”Publisher Twisted Teacup PublishingLinda Rae Sande Social Media

A Home for Helena, Regency time travel @susanaauthor #RLFblog #romance #bellesinblue
A Home for Helena, a full-length novel, sells for $2.99 but is discounted for a limited time only for $0.99 for today’s Bookbub promotion. The character of Lady Pendleton first appeared on my blog, Susana’s Parlour, in December 2012 as a way of introducing some of my less knowledgeable readers about Regency England and some of its more (in)famous characters. She appears in my first published story, Treasuring Theresa, published January 3, 2013. You can read the first post here: https://susanaellisauthor.wordpress.com/2012/12/29/susanas-adventures-with-lady-p-the-introduction/Agatha Tate, Lady Pendleton, is one of those eccentric old women who pretty much does what she wants and dares the high sticklers of the ton to challenge her, which none is willing to do because of her status as a dowager countess with influential friends. She got into time-traveling after a falling-out with her husband, which you can read more about it Book 1 of the series, The Ultimate Escape http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Escape-Lady-Chronicles-Book-ebook/dp/B01DUWNMJA. Since then, she time-travels discreetly between the 19th and 21st centuries and both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, which is how I first met her. I am indebted to her for her willingness to regale me with all of her thoughts and opinions, as well as the details of some of her adventures in time-travel. More recently, Lady P condescended to accompany me to the past on a visit to Vauxhall Gardens. That experience is reported here: https://susanaellisauthor.wordpress.com/?s=Lady+PBelieving that she has been misplaced in time, Helena Lloyd travels back two hundred years in an attempt to find out where she belongs. Widowed father James Walker has no intention of remarrying until he makes the acquaintance of his daughter’s lovely new governess. Lady Pendleton, a time-traveling Regency lady herself, suspects that these two belong together. First, however, she must help Helena discover her true origins—and hopefully, a home where she belongs.Genre: Regency time travelBook heat level (based on movie ratings): PGPublisher: Susana Ellis AuthorAmazon: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C1WURTS

To Save a Viscount @JessieClever #RLFblog #Regencyromance
Welcome Jessie Clever author of To Save a Viscount, a new Regency
romance.Why did you write
this book?I wrote this book because Lady Margaret Folton insisted I do
so. Maggie was a character that popped in an earlier book in this series, and
she had such a fascinating story, I knew she would require a book of her own. So
here it is.What is your favorite
genre to read?I love historical fiction. It’s so important to study
history and learn from the things of the past. Historical fiction is a great
way to introduce new topics and subjects to readers, and I love the power it
has to encourage a love of history.Who is your favorite
character from fiction (not including your own)?I love and hate Lisbeth Salander from the Girl with the
Dragon Tattoo series. She stays true to her character right through to the end
even when she makes you cringe. She’s so beautifully written it’s stunning. It
literally takes my breath away when I see how brilliantly she’s written. What are you working
on at the moment?I have begun drafting the follow up series to the family of
spies found in the Spy Series. This series is called the Shadowing London
Series and will focus on the children of the Black family of spies. What books will we see
from you in coming months?I plan to release the first book in the Shadowing London
Series, a late Regency/early Victorian historical romance focusing on Samuel
Black, the oldest of the Black family off spring, this fall! Please tell us about
your latest book.Genre Regency romanceBook heat level (based on movie ratings): RWhen an
assassin threatens England’s spy network, Lady Margaret Folton must find the
killer before it’s too late. Hardened from being forced to witness the murder
of her British spy parents by French revolutionists, Margaret approaches this
mission like any other, with steely determination and a resolute focus on the
necessary outcome at the cost of all else.Commodore
John Lynwood, newly returned from the Mediterranean, finds himself granted the
title of viscount in honor of his service during the war. Plagued with a string
of good luck throughout his life, the title serves as another reminder that
Jack has done nothing to earn the glory and prestige that comes with his
position, and he’ll be damned if he’ll enjoy such an honor. But
when Jack is accidentally granted a title meant to be used as bait to lure the
assassin into the War Office’s trap, Margaret must face the tragedy of her past
and decide which is more important: the assignment or love? The

Brette: Intentions Gone Astray #regency #romance @Collette_Author #RLFblog
Why did you write
this book?Brette: Intentions Gone Astray is the third book in my
Conundrums of the Misses Culpepper series.I knew Brette, and her hero, Alexander Hawksworth had to
have their own happily-ever-after since the first moment they met, and she
thought he was a valet. What is your favorite
genre to read?Historical romance and just about every subgenre.I like the little historical tidbits I learn while I’m
indulging in a romantic read. It’s sort of like hiding veggies in macaroni and cheese so
my kiddos didn’t realize they were getting healthy food with one of their
favorite meals.Who is your favorite
character from fiction (not including your own)?I usually say the Count of Monte Cristo, and he’s still my
standby hero, but I was just thinking about The Three Musketeers the other day.
I’ve always been a fan of D’Artagnan. What are you working
on at the moment?I just finished up a novella for a boxed set releasing in
March, Regency Ever Afters, and I’m closing in on the last chapter of another
novella for—you guessed it—another set, The Forbidden Highlands. As soon as that’s finished, I’ll jump right into the 6th and
final book in my Highland Heather Romancing a Scot series. What books will we see from you in coming months?Well, I already mentioned two of the sets I’m involved with,
but there are two more as well: Her Perfect Gentleman and A Lady for Every

The Marquess and the Midwife @AlinaKField #RLFblog #Regency #Romance
Welcome Alina K Field, author of The Marquess and the
Midwife, a new Regency Romance. Why did you write
this book? For starters, I love the Call the Midwife stories, as well
as secret babies. And, a few months before I started The Marquess and the
Midwife, a family member tragically lost a good friend in childbirth to
toxemia. (Unthinkable, right, in the twenty-first century?) I guess pregnancy
and childbirth were on my brain! Somehow, my muse came up with this story. What is your favorite
genre to read?I love Regency romance, and I especially love stories with a
lot of adventure added to the romance.Who is your favorite
character from fiction (not including your own)?Hmm. May I have two? I love the rascally Rupert Carsington,
the Mr. Impossible of Loretta Chase’s book by that name. I also like William
Doyle, the bluff , clever spy of Joanna Bourne’s The Forbidden Rose. Actually,
all of Chase’s and Bourne’s characters are brilliant, but they both write the
most delicious heroes. What are you working
on at the moment, and what will we see from you in coming months?I’m working on a Regency series about four adult children
being married off by their father, an earl who is a retired spy lord. Or is he
retired? Book one is called The Bastard’s Iberian Bride and will be coming this
spring.About The Marquess and the Midwife

Award winning author Alina K. Field earned a Bachelor of
