Beverly Ovalle dabbled with writing on and off for years when her best friend finally dared her to submit a story to a writing contest. Beverly decided she had nothing to lose and since she’d always wanted to be an author sent it in and agonized for months waiting to hear back. Contract in hand she has never looked back.

party. Considering his story, describe the party.This would definitely be a hunting party. Survival is the
main goal.How does the hero
feel about being this particular party, and what body language is he displaying
that gives it away?Ari is a bit impatient having to hunt as a human. If he was
to go as his dragon, he’d be done and back in a quarter of the time. He checks
over the weapons he is using, perhaps a bit more diligently than the men around
him.Is he more likely to mingle
or remain aloof?Ari would remain aloof, if he can manage it he’ll change to
make hunting easier as long as he wouldn’t be found out. He has no desire to
become hunted.If he drinks, what is
his drink of choice at this party?Water is his drink of choice at the hunting party.How much drink is his
usual?Ari will have a drink with his meal. Dragons don’t really
indulge in anything that could expose them to humans.The hero figures out where
the hiding places are and then goes there. Is it to hide, to avoid someone, or
to go drag a friend back to the party?Ari will go there to indulge his curiosity to see if
anything is hidden there, and to scope out the territory.Is he likely to latch
onto a friend and stay with him/her and ignore others, or is he the friend that

situation and must interact with him/her in some way. What does he do?Ari keeps the contact to a minimum to accomplish what must

bungling things. How does the hero deal with it?Ari will try to assist him or her, doing his best to correct
it. He will step in to correct it if he has no choice and only if someone will

book?I love cabins, I love snow, and I love second chance romances. I funny
and entertaining.In Snowbound With Ghost, my heroine, Lily Holroyd, finds herself stuck

bit of a nightmare for poor Lily. As if this wasn’t bad enough, a supernatural
critter is prowling outside. Add some eccentric ghost hunters and The World’s
Most Haunted Radio Station and things get crazy really fast.What is your favorite genre
to read?I read paranormal and contemporary romance and I love humor and
fantasy. I mix all of these elements in my books.Who is your favorite
character from fiction (not including your own)?Eve Dallas from J.D. Robb’s In Death series. I think she’s one of the
best fictional characters out there and I really hope they bring her to life in
a movie or a TV series (along with Roarke who is equally awesome).What are you working on at
the moment, and will see from you in coming months?I just finished the first draft of A Very Witchy Wedding, the first
book in my new Main Street Witches series. It’s set in the same world as the
Banshee Creek series but features more magic and mayhem. This book should be
out sometime in March.Please tell us about your
latest book.Stuck in a

down-home family style meal?Here it is folks, the meal people everywhere love: Pesto Meat Loaf
with Baked Sweet Potatoes. It’s colorful, it’s comforting, it’s good for you;
and everyone from grandma to your most persnickety foodie guest will rhapsodize.
I’ve served this dish at casual family gatherings and sit-down dinners galore,
always to rave reviews – even got profiled in a cooking magazine once for it!
Here’s the recipe for the curious:Pesto Meat Loaf1 lb. each
lean ground beef and lean ground pork1 tsp. salt
and 1 tsp. pepper1 T. olive oil2 T. finely
chopped garlic1 c. fine
bread crumbs, toasted1/3 c. toasted
pine nuts or walnuts1 c. finely
chopped, loosely packed fresh basil½ c. finely
chopped, loosely packed fresh parsley½ c. grated
Parmesan cheese1 egg, beatenCombine meats
with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a small skillet; add garlic, cook until soft
and mix with beef and pork. Add bread crumbs, nuts, herbs, cheese and egg to
the meat mixture, mix well, and bake in a loaf pan at 400 degrees for an hour.
Serve topped with a fresh marinara sauce and baked sweet potatoes on the side.

meditate for ten seconds and head back into the fray tranquil and unperturbed.

pleasure, what kind of books do you choose?I’m such a
dang omnivore with my reading except when it comes to non-fiction, which I only
read if I absolutely have to, although I recently enjoyed “Blue Mind” by
Wallace Nichols. But. I usually have two novels going, one to make me think and
grow (am tackling the Time 100 with my Carpe Librum buddies at the moment), and
one commercial fiction work, which I gobble up like candy and troll through for
scene and dialogue ideas. Kresley Cole and J.R. Ward are two of my current
faves.What kinds of things do
you read when you’re researching a new book?Goodness, I
have to hunt down all kinds of information to answer the bizarre questions I
end up asking myself when I write. Such as what varieties of tuna fish hang out
off the North Atlantic coast? And what sharks other than Great Whites are
lethal to humans in the mid-Atlantic? I search online articles, consult maps,
re-read old fairy tales and other mythology, and generally indulge any and all
curiosities that might lead to fully fleshed-out narrative. Sometimes I troll
through cookbooks and travel magazines at the local library… and you’ll just
have to peek through my stories to find out why!If the hero of your latest
book called you on the phone, what would be a perfect ringtone for him?I’ve had my
concerns about Justin Bieber, but his new “What Do You Mean?” would be ideal.
In Updrift, Kate and Gabe wrestle with just the kind of confusion Beiber sings
about. Also, the melody is dreamy and addictive, which perfectly describes
