False. I lose sleep over many things: kids, family, stress, sickness, but never writing.
you did research for this book?
True. I researched sirens and ancient Greek myths. Instead of the mermaid sirens, I went with the original Greek myths that sirens were half-bird/half-women.
some characters in this book are not human? (pets for example)
True. Cassandra is half-siren and half-succubus and not human.
this book has more than one genre?
True. This book is paranormal and romance – my two favorite genres.
you speak more than one language?
True-ish. I took French in High School and can remember some of it. And I know a few words in Spanish – do either of those count?
you grew up where you live now?
True-ish. I grew up in Houston and live north of the city now.
you love to read?
True. I love stories and characters.
you are never late?
False. I try to leave early in order to be on time, but often am late despite that.

True, but only certain ones.
you have a pet?
No. Once the kids are a bit older, we’re thinking of getting a dog or cat. Maybe one of each since my daughter wants a cat and my son wants a dog.

Andrea has always enjoyed creating characters and stories. But it wasn’t until she was in her late twenties that she started writing novels. She writes fantasy, paranormal, contemporary, and historical romance. Under the pen name, A.R. Cooper, she writes YA Fantasy. Her debut YA series is Shadow Bloodlines.
What happened that ignited the writing flame in her fingers? Divorced, and disillusioned by love songs and stories. They exaggerate. She thought. Love and Romance are not like that in the real world. Then she met her husband and realized, yes love and romance are exactly like the songs and stories say. She is now a happy wife, and a mom to three kids (two boys and a girl).
Andrea writes fantasy, paranormal, historical, and romantic suspense.

Please tell us about yourself.
Award-winning Scottish paranormal romance author, Mary Morgan, resides in Northern California, with her own knight in shining armor. However, during her travels to Scotland, England, and Ireland, she left a part of her soul in one of these countries and vows to return.
Mary’s passion for books started at an early age along with an overactive imagination. She spent far too much time daydreaming and was told quite often to remove her head from the clouds. It wasn’t until the closure of Borders Books where Mary worked that she found her true calling–writing romance. Now, the worlds she created in her mind are coming to life within her stories.
What is your go-to meal when you dine out?
I love going to pubs, so it’s usually fish and chips or hamburger, a big salad and a Guinness.
Describe the perfect vacation.
Spending time anywhere in Scotland or Ireland. I was fortunate to visit the Orkney Islands, north of Scotland in June. I wandered through ancient ruins, stood on cliffs near the ocean, and soaked in the mystique of the land. Pure bliss! I’m longing to return.
When you read for pleasure, what kind of books do you choose?
I read in all genres, in particular, historical fiction and non-fiction. I’m fascinated with history. I blame it on James Michener. When I read “Hawaii” at seventeen, I became hooked on historical books. Currently, I’m reading “Victoria” by Daisy Goodwin.
What kinds of things do you read when you’re researching a new book?
Everything—from historical books, travel magazines, world maps, and articles on the internet. Since my stories are based in Scotland and Ireland, I’m constantly searching out new and fascinating tidbits of knowledge. In addition, I’m a lover of Celtic mythology, so I enjoy reading about the legendary tales from these countries.

Destiny – is it Mayberry or Middle Earth?
It’s the height of the Para-moon and Sheriff Jack Lang is up to his ‘6’ in alligators. Defending those weaker than himself is in his DNA which is what drove him to become a Navy pilot. But who is he kidding? Alligators he could handle! But supernatural bad guys? Ragtag doesn’t begin to describe his band of temporary ‘heroes’. If he has to go to war with the group that showed up at dawn, he might as well start cutting up white sheets and attaching them to garden stakes.
With Tempe and the other Paramortals ill or incapacitated and the sudden appearance of beings he’s never heard of, will Jack be able to keep Destiny out of the hands of their enemies for the rest of the power down an–very important–keep the humans in the dark?

Ugh, no, sorry I know some people have a passion for it. Maybe if I lived closer to fresh seafood I’d learn to love it.

Yes, he is a clever terror I affectionately call – Dusty the Cajun Husky because he thinks he’s a huge lead sled dog. When he gets off his leash which is almost never, he heads North!

I love creating the world of the Dark Assassins and Xander was the only one who truly believed in finding a mate, even before Kai had found Liv, the first of the assassins to find his mate. I love how each of them, although tough and bad in their own way, are sensitive and fall in love deeply.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I love romance. It depends on my mood, but generally contemporary and paranormal romance.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I love Elizabeth Bennet. She can admit when she’s wrong and her love story with Darcy is nearly perfect!
What are you working on at the moment?
I am working on two novellas, both in the M/M contemporary romance genre. One for a boxed set and one that is a continuation of a relationship in my first M/M release, Unexpected.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
Well, the novella in my Unexpected series will be released at the end of September and Jade, the fourth book in my Dark Assassins series, is going to be released in October.

I wrote this book because I see environmental issues that governments around the world are ignoring, that are going to have great ramifications on our world. This book is what I think could happen.

I am working on the sequel to Forsaken as well as another college age story.
