paranormal books is seeing how each author creates her world. You have to make
rules for your kingdom, then stick with them. Supernatural beings can have many
characteristics. How can they be killed? What are their weaknesses? Their
strengths? Do they live forever? I want
my were-creatures to age. Yes, they live longer, healthier lives than humans
but they do grow old. And it sucks! That’s one of the themes I had big fun
playing with in Sins of Long Ago.Imagine you’re an alpha werewolf,
used to being in charge, to getting what and who you want. One day, you start
to notice lines on your face that weren’t there yesterday. You move a little
slower in a fight, want to come in sooner from a moon run. You’re aging, like you
knew you would, and like us regular old mortals, you start to think about
serious shit. The fun and games of youth are over and your thoughts turn to the
future. To family, friends, and maybe leaving behind some kind of legacy.I had a challenge with one
particular scene in Sins. My editor
asked me to change it, because it made Vincent, my hero, look kind of sleazy.
The scene is important because it helps show his vulnerability when he’s
treated differently than he expects, due to his “mature” nature. I rose
to the challenge and came up with a great compromise that my editor and I both
loved. Vincent keeps his morals intact but I still got to make him suffer a

I’m minutes away from hopping on a plane leaving St. Louis Missouri.
I’ve been visiting my mom and sister and I’m waaaaaay past ready to go home. For
one thing, I’m freezing my butt off! Time to get back to Florida. I grew up in St.
Louis and I knew without a doubt, it was not the place I wanted to spend the rest
of my life. Now before you St. Louis dwellers start blasting me for picking on your
city, let me say, there are many wonderful features of this area. Fans love and
support their sport teams, for sure. St. Louis offers a wide variety of good food
and entertainment, a fantastic highway system, nearby wineries to make you drool
and the most beautiful autumns you’ll ever see.But not for me. I longed for something more in whatever place
I lived. I can’t describe what that something was, but knew I’d recognize it when
I felt it. In Ruled by the Moon, magical people such as witches and werewolves are
drawn to Nocturne because of powerful ley lines that run through the area. I’ve
always been fascinated with ley lines so I did some research and found they could
very well be running through my fictitious Midwestern United States town. Check
out this Google
page for some great maps of ley lines. They’re everywhere! According to Wikipedia, ley lines are
“…supposed alignments of numerous places of geographical and historical interest,
such as ancient monuments and megaliths, natural ridge-tops and water-fords.”
I believe they’re spots that contain certain kinds of power.On this visit to St. Louis, I checked in to see if I could feel
energy from that strong line running through Missouri. Nope. At least not anything
I could pick up. Or maybe, the energy that flowed was exactly what I found unpleasant.
Maybe it affected me on some level I wasn’t even aware of. I live in Florida now
and though there are many qualities I love about this state (it’s soooooo much better
to be here in February), it’s still not quite my perfect home. I’ve always been
drawn to mountains and after a recent visit to Taos, New Mexico, would love to explore

Don’t Say No I read a book some time ago that featured taggers, or graffiti
artists. I found the subject fascinating and had to do more research. According
to an article at the Center
for Problem-Oriented Policing, there are four major types of graffiti, all problematic
and some gang related. Then there are other articles like this one at Smashing
Magazine, that portray graffiti as art. Check out the examples they show here,
or these by female
street artists. I wouldn’t mind having some of this artwork on the building
at my business.If I did decide to decorate the outside of my shop, how would
I go about finding a graffiti artist? An Internet search brought up a Facebook page, a Tumblr page, and many
more sites all over the world. Not too many in my area, but I’m sure I could hunt
one down, possibly listing themselves as a mural artist.Beautiful as it is, sometimes the pictures are done without permission.
In Don’t Say No, unwelcome graffiti is painted all over the outside of a spa on
grand opening day. Curse words, not beautiful pictures. My hero and heroine come

Her Wild Protector There you are, on a tropical island, with a guy who practically
kidnapped you. He says he has a plan to protect you, and so far he’s done a good
job of keeping you safe from two men, one who turns into a cheetah and another who
becomes a panther. Oh, and both of them tried to kill you. This guy is sexy as hell
and the more you learn about him, the more you like him, but that doesn’t change
the fact that he’s irritatingly bossy. Throw in the minor problem that there are
killers after you and you have a pretty good reason to be off-the-charts stressed
out.How about a session of Tai Chi? This non-aggressive form of martial
art has many benefits, including improved posture, better flexibility and what you
so desperately need, stress reduction. So when the hot guy (who looks even hotter
when he’s doing Tai Chi) suggests you join him in his workout, you agree. And surprise!
After forty minutes of moving through the forms, you’re calmer than you have been
for days.Tai Chi is a great form of exercise. I’ve done it a few times
and wanted to learn a bit more for the scene in Her Wild Protector, where Marshall
and Tara engage in this activity. I thoroughly enjoyed doing the research. Here

Her Wild Protector If you’ve never watched someone do Tai Chi, grab the next opportunity
and check it out. It’s a beautiful, graceful martial art form that Merriam-Webster
defines as “an ancient Chinese discipline of meditative movements practiced
as a system of exercises.” In my story Her Wild Protector, Tara says it looks like yoga on barbiturates. She’s kind of
a smart ass!Tai Chi can be done by just about anyone and while it looks like
nothing much is going on, it takes a fair amount of energy to perform. There are
many benefits to moving through the forms, such as improving posture and increasing
flexibility. There are plenty of good articles on the subject and here’s the link
