Breaking Boundaries a new #Military Romantic Suspense by @teresareasor #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces
    the story.
    About the Author
    New York Times
and USA Today bestselling author Teresa Reasor was born in southeastern
Kentucky, but grew up a Marine Corps brat. The love of reading instilled in her
in Kindergarten at Parris Island, South Carolina made books her friends during
the many transfers her father’s military career entailed. The transition
from reading to writing came easily to her and she penned her first book in
second grade. But it wasn’t until 2007 that her first published work was
    released.
    After
twenty-one years as an Art Teacher and ten years as a part time College
Instructor, she’s now retired and living her dream as a full time Writer.
    Her body of
work includes both full-length novels and shorter pieces in many different
genres, Military Romantic Suspense, Paranormal Romance, Urban Fantasy,
Historical Romance, Contemporary Romance, and Children’s Books.
    Interview with Teresa Reasor
    Why did you write this
    book?

When I wrote my second SEAL
Team Heartbreaker book Breaking Through, I had a young Marine who played an
important part in an intense rescue of one of my characters, and though he was
only in that one chapter, his character stuck with me.
    Right after the
book came out a friend of mine shared a photo of a young Marine, who had lost a
leg in Afghanistan and was working to become a model. I really wish I could
have used that image on my book. But it wasn’t available.
    Those two events
inspired my expanding the character of Callahan Crowes and giving him his own
    book, Breaking Boundaries.
    What is your favorite
    genre to read?
Romantic suspense and it’s also my favorite genre to write.
    Who is your favorite
character from fiction (not including your own)?
    Female Characters would be:
Alaina in Ashes in the Wind–Kathleen Woodiwiss, Eve Dallas in Nora
Roberts’ aka JD Robb’s In Death series
    Male Characters would be:
Johnny in Karen Robards One Summer, Cole in Ashes in the Wind, Harry
    Bosche in Michael Connelly’s series.
What are you working on at
the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I’m working on the next SEAL Team Heartbreaker book, Breaking Out. It
will be Zach O’Connor, aka Doc’s book.
    Please tell us about your
    latest book.
    Corporal
Callahan Crowes returns home from Afghanistan missing part of a leg and haunted
by guilt over the loss of his men. He pledges to live every moment of his life
to the fullest and works to build a career in the only field he knows besides
    being a soldier: construction.
    Reeling from
her fiancé’s infidelity and their broken engagement, Kathleen O’Connor accepts
a job far away from Boston and the suffocating pity of friends and family. She
puts romance firmly behind her, and, armed with her shiny new architectural
degree, launches her career with a commercial construction and design firm.
    Her first day
on the job, she sees Cal risk his life to rescue a fellow worker, and is
shocked when his act of heroism triggers an unwarranted attack on him from her
supervisor. When she learns Cal may lose his job because of his
leg, Kathleen urges him to use social media to fight the decision, putting
    her own job at risk.
    The public
firestorm pushes Cal into the limelight in ways he least expects, but shows him
a missing limb’s not the barrier to love he’s believed it is. But there’s
something besides business politics brewing at work, and when Kathleen’s life
is threatened, she discovers there’s more to a man than two good legs—it’s the
size of his heart that counts.

Is All Fair in Love and War with @SharonLHamilton #RLFBlog #Romance

Navy SEALs are known for being the
best of the best when it comes to working in the arena of war. Highly trained
and skilled, practiced in all aspects of Team life, they are literally
programmed to react certain ways and to call on resources in the flick of an
    eye.
Not so at home. In fact, it’s well
known that many of the Special Forces have problems on the homefront, with a
higher than normal divorce rate. I created a scenario with my next series, Band
of Bachelors, a house full of men who have banded together because of their
common enemy: women. You can imagine the advice these bachelors give each
other—both solicited and unsolicited, and most of it horrible. Yet, one by one,
each will find his happily ever after.
You know these guys already. They
are loyal to The Brotherhood, to the Navy, and to their wives and children,
even when they are estranged from them. Some will find their way back to wives
they never stopped loving, others will have to find love again, but each tale
will be a compelling and humorous journey of the heart, to find their true
    soulmate.

    Special Operator Lucas Shipley
thought his troubles were past him, when he discovers they’ve only just begun.
Recently separated from his wife of five years, he gets some unwelcomed
news.  He thought his living arrangement,
with four other separated or divorced buddies from SEAL Team 3, was
temporary.  Now, he understands he has to
    move on with his life.
Marcy Gelland is one of the
smartest, most successful realtors in San Diego County. She’s hired by Lucas’
soon-to-be ex-wife to help her liquidate their joint holdings and help
orchestrate a speedy departure from Lucas’ life. Based on what Marcy’s been
told, Lucas deserves any amount of pain she or her client can dish out to him.
But when they are left alone
together in the remote Northern California woods, they ignite a personal
bonfire that threatens to burn down the whole forest.  Marcy is forced to see she has been misled.
    Amidst the backdrop of hardened
bachelor SEALs with their unsolicited, anti-long- term relationship advice, and
a criminal gang operating nearby, Lucas must do what he’s always done and never
gotten proper credit for: be the hero that saves the day.

Sharon Hamilton is a NYT and USA/Today bestselling author most known for her SEAL Brotherhood series.

All of Sharon’s books are available on eBooks (most formats), print and Audible.
A lifelong organic gardener, Sharon lives with her husband in the Wine Country of Northern California, where most of her stories take place. SEAL Michael Tarik Taking Fire @lindsaymckenna #RLFblog #militaryromance

    Zone of Fire
    by Lindsay McKenna
Zone Of Fire, Taking Fire , On Fire: a new innovative way to
tell a story by Lindsay McKenna, HQN, Harlequin
    1. Zone Of Fire, Ebook only, Shadow Warriors Series, epilogue
to Never Surrender, HQN, July, 2014.
    On all major ebook platforms
    2. Taking Fire, HQN, 2.25.2015. Shadow
Warriors series pocket book and ebook.
    3. On Fire, HQN, Ebook only, Shadow Warriors Series, Director’s
    Cut to Taking Fire
    Pub. date: 3.1.2015
I am working with Harlequin to do
something rather innovative for my many loyal readers. I got a lot of emails begging
me to right a novella epilogue for Never Surrender (Bay and Gabe, the main characters).
I did that, but I also wanted to take a secondary from that book, Mike Tarik, and
add him to this 11,000 word novella. I married the two of them into it so that the
novella was not only an epilogue regarding “what happened next to Bay and Gabe,”
but also became a bridge to Mike’s book, Taking Fire.
There are actually THREE books, with
Zone Of Fire, 2.1.2015 coming out first to set up Mike’s book. Then, on 2.25.2015,
Taking Fire comes out and is Mike and Khatereh’s story. It is followed on 3.1.2015
by On Fire, Ebook only. It is what I term a “director’s cut” to their
story. Unfortunately, in paperbacks, a 100,000 words is the max amount one can write
about a story. I over ran that mark by roughly 40,000 words! And I did not want
to delete it and forget it. My editor, Tara Gavin, agreed and so did Harlequin.
This is how these three books are
like boxcars in a row on a train, kind of thing. It’s a creative and new way to
present characters and their stories. And I hope you enjoy them. Do let me know?
Taking Fire is a story of US Navy
SEAL, Mike Tarik, who is an American citizen, but 1/2 Saudi and 1/2 American, through
his mother, Annie. His father is a world renown cardiac surgeon. Dr. Bedir Tarik
met his wife, Annie, over in Saudi Arabia where she was an American school teacher.
Bedir, who is Sufi, believes firmly that love is the only way to peace and harmony
in the world. He falls in love with Annie, and they marry in Riyadh. Later, she
gets pregnant with Mike and he is born in San Diego, California.
Bedir takes his young son over to
Saudi Arabia for three weeks every year. He has a charity in Riyadh, and he and
Mike take a pickup and distribute clothes, food and money to the poor at the fringes
of that city, as well as to many others areas. He teaches his son generosity, giving
back and being grateful for what he has.
Mike grows up wanting to become a
Navy SEAL. Bedir has already shown him his family’s lineage and tells his warrior
son that he has the genes of his warrior great-grandfather. Mike’s view on it is
that he wants to help the poor and oppressed, to rid them of tyrants who kill or
make their lives miserable. When he deploys to Afghanistan with Seal Team 3, he
works with NGO charities to bring food, clothing, and shoes to the desperately poor
Afghan villages near where his team is located.
He carries on his father’s belief
in always helping those who have less. But on one mission, he finds himself in need.
He and his four-man SEAL team are out on a mission. And it is a black ops US Marine
Corps sniper who saves his team and him from a deadly ambush. And she’s a woman!
Mike’s entire life changes in the moment he is injured and saved by this mysterious
operator who cares for him deep in the cave systems of the Hindu Kush Mountains
    near the Pakistan border.
    Sergeant Khatera Shinwari is wary
of this SEAL, must maintain her deep black ops cover and although she’s powerfully
drawn to Mike, there is no way she can act upon it. Mike, before he’s picked up
by a Night Stalker helicopter once he’s ready to leave her care for FOB Bravo, promises
her, he will see her again.
Khat doesn’t believe him, as much
as she wished she could. Her life is not her own. Her loyalty is to her Afghan people,
not to a single man like Mike. But life has a funny way of changing up, and Mike
isn’t about to just let this enigmatic, beautiful woman disappear out of his life.
    No way…..
I had great fun creating this story
and it’s unlike anything my readers have read. I’m very excited about it, about
the sympathetic characters that you are sure to cheer on! And toward that end? I’ve
created a “Director’s Cut” of a much longer ending to Taking Fire. Don’t
worry, the book you’ve bought is complete with an HEA ending. But if you want to
know more of “what else” happened,” then On Fire, HQN, 5.1.2015,
digital only, 40,000 words long and $2.99, will be available to you to continue
their twisting and dangerous destiny with one another! And an HEA ending, of course!

An Oath Taken: Supporting the Military – by Diana Cosby @KensingtonBooks #RLFblog #MilitaryBook

An Oath Taken, by Diana Cosby
    An Oath Taken
    by Diana Cosby

Diana Cosby combines her passion for writing and charity work
to help our troops with the release of An Oath Taken, the first book in The Oath
    Series.

Many of you know that I love volunteering
my time and energy in helping to make a positive difference in others’ lives. As
a military brat, a retired Navy Chief, a former military wife, and a mom of three
children who have served in the military—two in the Marines and one in the Army,
all who have served in Afghanistan—I understand the demands on members of the military
and the impact on their families.
Upon return from combat duty, many
Veterans face challenges including depression, PTSD, survivor’s guilt, suicidal
thoughts, brain injury, as well as physical issues incurred during deployment. I
wanted to do something that would make a difference and help these Veterans. So,
I will be donating 100% of my proceeds from the first week of sales of An Oath Taken (8 December
2014 – 14 December 2014) to veterans’ charities and causes that support military
    service members and their families.

    A Matching Donation

I shared my idea with my editor, and
then asked if she could notify me of my royalties after the first week of sales
for An Oath Taken. My editor’s response brought tears to my eyes. Kensington Publishing
Corp. would gladly do as I asked — and make a matching donation.
I’m awed by my publisher’s generosity, more so that I know the money raised will
go toward making a positive difference in military members’ lives.
It’s hard to deploy and leave ones
family, friends, and miss the holidays, more so for those who are placed in harm’s
way. But, it’s also a tremendous challenge for the family members left at home wondering
every single day if their loved one is alive. And when the family is reunited with
their soldier after a dangerous tour of duty, regular family difficulties may seem
overwhelming. Many military families need support to stay strong as their soldier
receives proper treatment, which is one of the functions of the military charities
    I support.
    Education, proper diagnosis, and treatment
are the key to good physical and mental health. I sincerely hope that my 100% donation
from my first week of sales of An Oath Taken, combined with my publishers matching
contribution, can help returning Veterans as they continue their on-going fight
in overcoming personal battles on the home front.
Thank you all for your time, and may
God bless our troops and their families!
    Sincerely,
    Diana Cosby
