Why did you write this book?
I’m thrilled to be approached to be a part of this boxed set with the other members of the Naughty Literati. Military men and women lend themselves to romance novels. I had such fun writing Marine on a Mission, a action-packed, sexy novella. And you can pre-order it for the special price of 99-cents. Price will go up after release.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Romance, of course. Within the genre, I love to read contemporary, romantic suspense, historical, paranormal, and even some fantasy. One of the things I love about the genre—it has something for everyone.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
It’s pretty much impossible to pick just one character. I have so many favorites. One of my favorite couples has to be Eve Dallas and Roarke from J.D. Robb’s In Death series. They are seriously badass, but far from perfect. Watching the evolution of their relationship over so many books has been a wonderful journey. I grab these books as soon as they’re released.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m working on a new paranormal series for one of my publishers. Should have several books in the series releasing in 2020. I’m really excited about it.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
As I said, you’ll see two, possibly three books in a new paranormal series releasing in 2020. (More details when I get the final blurbs and dates.) I’m also part of the Naughty Temptations: Collection Four releasing in February. That contains two novellas that have been unavailable for some time. That’s all I have nailed down for now.

Of course, it’s a good idea to tell our loved ones how we feel not just on Valentine’s Day, but on any day throughout the year. And while an sparkly gift or elaborate display of fanciness is sometimes nice to receive, let’s not forget that there are several inexpensive or free ways to show someone we care.
Here are twenty ways to say I love you s– not just for your significant other; don’t forget your friends, family members, coworkers and more.1 Put a note in your kid’s lunch box telling them how awesome they are.
2 Leave a sexy note on the steering wheel in your husband’s car.
3 Buy your teen’s favorite candy bar and leave it in the fridge with a sweet note.

Love isn’t the only thing that happens when you least expect it.
Delilah and Luc and Samantha and Jed are looking forward to their special day, a double Christmas wedding at the Calloway Farm with their friends and family in attendance. And Beau and Maddie are expecting their baby. Great news, right? But after the women go missing with a storm approaching, and a desperate soldier threatens everyone, the men in their lives scramble to make sure Maddie’s delivery and the wedding come off as planned.
More than a Christmas novel. Stuff just happens in Rainbow Bayou at Christmas time (hint: weddings, births, kidnappings, and second chance reunions. . .) A continuing theme of overcoming whatever challenges life throws in your path.
Why did you write this book?
In the timeline of the series, the next event, a double wedding, just happened to fall during December and the Calloways’ Christmas reunion. Each of the books in the series features a veterans issue, and I decided to use a recently returned soldier to complicate the plans for the wedding and Maddie’s delivery. It was great fun to bring in everyone from the community to help out and deliver a couple of Christmas miracles.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I read everything and write both contemporary and paranormal. For total escape I read historical romance and thrillers since I don’t write them.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
My latest favorite is Matthew de Clairmont from the All Souls Trilogy. OMG, you can’t imagine how hunky and smart and powerful and well. . .look him up in Discovery of Witches, book 1.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m just finishing up book 8 in the Calloways and will start on book 7 of the Destiny books next.
What books will we see from you in coming months?

Interesting Veterans Day Facts
- Veterans Day is always celebrated on November 11th.
- The original name for this holiday was Armistice Day. The word armistice means “state of peace agreed to between opponents so they can discuss peace terms.”
- The first celebration was held on November 11, 1919. This was the first anniversary of WWI ending.
- In 1926, Congress passed a resolution to make this date an annual observance and it became a national holiday in 1938.
- The current name came about in order to honor all who served as well as those who died fighting. The change was legislated in 1954 by President Eisenhower.
- Today we give special honor to the living and deceased servicemen and servicewomen and to the civilians that support them.

I’m maybe a little more curvy than fashion dictates. I have auburn hair, shoulder-length and deep green eyes, and I’m relatively tall—around five eight or nine.
Who is the significant other in your life?
I recently met David Stimson and fell hard and fast, despite my usual deliberative personality.
How do you dress?
I like the classic styles—trouser pants with pleats and a belt when going out casually and soft, collared blouses. I have three distinct little black dresses and almost always wear dresses or skirts when going out for an evening. I enjoy heels because they make me feel feminine (and yes, sexy!) but am just as comfortable in flats. Clothing must be comfortable and I tend towards the flowing, draping types of materials of very good quality.
Please tell us about your education.
I attended undergraduate school at Georgetown but went to University of Virginia for medical school. I also practice here in Charlottesville.
Do you get by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?
I live comfortably but I am not extravagant. I enjoy good clothes and I like attending lectures and seminars on topics like archaeology and history (a must if you live in Virginia!). I own my house, but it’s modest, and though I have a mid-priced car, I usually bicycle to work.
On what special skills do you rely?
My attention to detail, empathy for my patients, and a quick memory. I use these things to give my patients the best care.
Are any of your skills a source of pride or embarrassment, and if so, which ones and why?
Definitely pride. I truly like people and see it as my duty to serve them the best I can.
What is your family like?
I love my parents very much though I’m closer to my mom then my dad. He was a “lifer” in the Marine Corps, often away while I was growing up. I hated that he loved his job more than Mom or me because it seemed he was always away when we needed him most or wanted him there, like for recitals and plays. I saw my mom as a tower of strength because she held us together when I would have given up. Only recently have I realized how much my dad loved me, too. In fact, since I fell in love with David and then gave him up, I’ve learned a great deal about life, love, and being an adult—and all from my parents.Where to buy Naval Maneuvers
