    5 Easy Questions: Lucy Felthouse @cw1985 #RLFblog #EroticRomance

    One Night in Paris
5 Easy Questions is an interview is designed to be quick, easy,
and fun. Today’s guest is Lucy Felthouse.
    What is your go-to meal
to order when you dine out? Your favorite “I know it will hit the spot”
    item.
    Steak and chips.
    Who is your “book
boyfriend”? You know, that hottie you read about and drool over.
I’m quite the sucker for Dimitri from Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy books ;)
    Would you rather stay
inside and watch snow falling, or get out in it and build a snowman?
I tend to stay inside and glare at the snow… I’m really not a
    fan. I prefer summer!
    What was your favorite
    book as a child?
    Anything by Enid Blyton.
    What was the last movie
    you watched (home or theater)?
The last film I saw at the cinema was X-Men: Days of Future Past
and I thought it was fantastic. So many hot guys, too. ;)

Jacob is nearly forty, and has recently come to the sudden realisation
that he’s not doing much with his life. Sure, he’s got his own successful business,
but what’s the point in earning lots of money and not doing anything or going anywhere
    to spend it?
He’s in serious danger of being all work and no play, so he starts
to rectify this by organising a twenty four hour layover in Paris
en route to a meeting in Dubai.
Whilst there, he goes on a bus tour of the city, and there meets Annabelle, a fellow
    Brit who’s studying in Paris.
There’s clearly an attraction between the two of them, so when the gorgeous Annabelle
makes an indecent proposal to help Jacob fill his time in Paris, who is he to refuse?

Character Interview: Virgina from Sweet Spot – Lucy Felthouse @cw1985 #RLFblog #LGBT

    Sweet Spot

    About the Book

    Title Sweet Spot
    Genre F/F Erotic Sports Romance
    Author Lucy Felthouse
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
    A Raw Talent book
Virginia Miller is an up-and-coming tennis star. She’s gone from
a ratty tennis court in a park in south London, England, to the world’s top training facility–Los Carlos Tennis Academy
    in California.
In awe of the talent around her, Virginia
is all the more determined to make the most of the opportunity and show that she’s
worthy of her place there. Her mentor, Nadia Gorlando, has every faith in her.
    But Virginia finds herself distracted–Nadia,
as well as being a top-notch tennis player, is seriously sexy, and Virginia’s mind keeps wandering
where it shouldn’t. Will her crush get in the way of her career, or can she find
a way to push the other woman out of her mind before it’s too late?

    Interview with Virginia Miller

    Tell us about yourself,
    please.
Hi, I’m Virginia Miller and I’m from London, England.
    I’m currently living in California,
though–I can hardly believe it! I was accepted to train at Los Carlos Tennis Academy,
and I’m now mingling with many of my idols. I have to keep pinching myself to make
    sure I’m not dreaming.
    What’s your internal limitation?
Meaning, what is it about you that makes it so you cannot do what it is you need
    to do during this story?
I really, really want to tell Nadia Gorlando how I feel about
her. She’s a top tennis player, not just in the Academy, but in the world, and she’s
also my mentor. There are so many reasons I can’t tell her, though. She’s my mentor,
we work closely together, I’m afraid. Plus, I don’t even know if she’s into women!
    What inner doubt causes
    you the most difficulty?
Doubting my own abilities. I must be doing something right because
I managed to get into the Academy, but I often find it difficult to believe that
I could ever be a top tennis player. Nadia has a great deal of faith in me, however,
so I’m slowly starting to believe in myself more.
    What’s your external complication?
In the story world your author created, explain what it is you fear most.
Failure is pretty damn terrifying. I’ve worked damn hard to get
even as far as the Academy, and now I’m here I want to go all the way. I know there’s
a lot of time and effort in front of me, and I don’t mind. I just don’t want to
let myself, my parents, Nadia and the Academy down.
    What is your family like?
They’re great. My parents have always been very supportive, ever
since the first moment I had a tennis racket in my hand and got hooked on the sport.
They’ve been behind me every step of the way, and I owe them a lot–without them,
I wouldn’t be at the Academy at all. They wanted me to have a backup plan, though,
and insisted I didn’t rely wholly on tennis to get me through life and into a career–and
threatened to stop paying for my tennis tuition if I didn’t try hard in my school
education and exams. I’m so glad they did, as education is so important.
    What special skills do
    you rely on?
I don’t. As I said above my parents refused to let me rely wholeheartedly
on tennis to get me through life and a career, and as I grew up I realized they
were absolutely right. Yes, my tennis playing has gotten me from a ratty court in
    south London to
the world’s top training facility, but that isn’t just down to my tennis skills.
It’s down to hard work, sheer determination and the people I have supporting me.
    I’m so grateful for them.
    Are you happy with the
way your story ended? Why or why not?
Oh yes, absolutely. There were lots of ups and downs along the
way, but the ending was certainly satisfactory. I’d really like to find out what
    happens next, though!

    About the Writer

    You have the length of
a tweet (140 characters) to describe yourself as a writer. Let’s see what you can
    do.
Lucy Felthouse is driven, supportive, writes lots of different
stories, takes too much on and adores her readers and fellow Brit Babes.
    Why did you choose to
    write about this character?
I’m not sure, really. She didn’t appear in the first Raw Talent
book, Grand Slam, but Nadia Gorlando did. I was specifically wanting to write a
F/F erotic romance novella for Ellora’s Cave’s Hot Pink series, so I figured it
would be fun to take the character of Nadia, who’d had a few appearances in Grand
Slam, and give her a love story of her own.
    When you wrote about this
character, what made you the most happy? What made you the most sad?
    Giving Virginia
what she really wanted made me very happy. But some of the stuff I put her through
in the interim was pretty sad. Sorry, Virginia…
    Why do you write?
    Because I can’t not write! I get really grumpy if I don’t.
What do you want to write
    next?
My next project is a M/M military erotic romance novella, called
Desert Heat, which is going to be set in Afghanistan.
    What other character from
this book do you want to write about? Care to tell us why?
Peter Ross is actually due his own story. Lily and I have been
working on it, but I’m not sure when it’ll get finished–things are crazy busy in
    both our worlds!
    Are any sequels planned
    for this book?
    Sort of. The Raw Talent
series is a sports romance series by myself and Lily Harlem. We have both co-authored
and solo projects in the series, and so far the books have had crossover between
the other books–that is, you can read them as standalones, but certain characters
and events will appear in more than one title. So there’s definitely a chance that
Virginia and Nadia will get another outing in future releases, but they probably
    won’t be the main characters.
    Is there anything you’d
like to say to your readers?
Yes–huge thanks to all of those that buy and read my books.
I couldn’t do this without you–you’re totally awesome!

An Inspiration for Stately Pleasures by Lucy Felthouse @cw1985 #RLFblog

    Stately Pleasures
Although I don’t remember where the actual idea for Stately Pleasures
came from, as it’s was in my head for so long before I wrote it, I can definitely
tell you where my inspirations came from. Inspirations for setting and characters,
    that is.
The setting, Davenport Manor, is a totally fictional place made
up of various real places I’ve been to and ones I imagined. It’s like a patchwork
quilt, or something. A facade from here, a maze from there, a schoolroom from X,
servants’ quarters from Y, a library from Z… you get the idea. It all pieced together
nicely in my mind to make up a very rich and exciting place for my characters to
play. I loved writing about the setting just as much as what was actually happening
    there!
As for character inspirations, well, that’s easy. Imagine Jeremy
Renner with a posh British accent and you have Jeremy Davenport. Imagine Jared Padalecki,
also with a posh British accent, and you have Ethan Hayes. Told you it was easy
    ;)
Alice Brown is much more difficult. She’s a curvy chick, and
I looked around and couldn’t find a Rubenesque celebrity I wanted to base her on.
Sadly, there are also far too few Rubenesque celebrities around! So Alice is a total figment of
my imagination, but if I got asked to select someone for casting in a film, I’d
    choose Melissa McCarthy.
Follow the blog tour to find out more about my how I researched
the book and much more: http://www.writermarketing.co.uk/prpromotion/blog-tours/currently-on-tour/lucy-felthouse-5/

    Blurb:

Alice Brown has just landed her dream job. Property manager at
Davenport Manor, a British stately home. It’s only a nine-month contract to cover
maternity leave, but it’s the boost up the career ladder she so desperately needs.
Unfortunately, things don’t get off to the best start, when Alice finds her boss, Jeremy
Davenport, in a compromising position. Far from being embarrassed by what’s happened,
Jeremy turns things around on Alice
and makes her out to be the one in the wrong. So when he and his best friend and
head of security, Ethan Hayes, then throw an ultimatum at her, she’s so stunned
and confused that she goes along with their indecent proposal.
When the dust settles and Alice has time to think about things, though,
she realises that perhaps it isn’t such a bad thing. There are worse things she
could be doing to advance her career, after all.
