Blood Moon by Livia Quinn @liviaquinn #RLFblog #paranormalToday’s featured book is Blood Moon, a paranormal by Livia Quinn.

Blood Moon, book 6 in the Destiny Paramortals is available now in the Moonlight Magic Paranormal Collection for 99 cents along with 19 other novels.

She could destroy his world…or save it.

There’s a new supe in Destiny. She sauntered into the Moat of Morpheus, a redheaded violet-eyed warrior carrying a giant head-splitter of a sword and wielding it with magic. Her name was Cinder. River felt an immediate attraction as well as a lifting of the despair that had been his only companion for months. But it was short lived.

She was there to kill a dragonhunter and accused River of hiding the truth about him. Turns out, she was right. River had a secret and his own reasons for remaining quiet. If he couldn’t break free from the villain’s control, there would be devastating consequences for his family and ultimately, the other Paramortals.

After his sister and the dragon sheriff go missing, River and Cinder join forces. But history has a way of coming full circle and echoes from their past bring a shattering revelation about their Paramortal family and the dragonhunter’s true identity, a perspective neither of them could have anticipated. Can they forgive the past to overcome their common enemy or will the news tear their relationship and the Paramortals apart forever?

Play Is It True with today’s guest Livia Quinn, author of Blame it on the Moon, an Urban Fantasy. This is a game in which authors answer yes and no questions. They can elaborate on answers as much as they choose.

First, tell us about your book.

Destiny – is it Mayberry or Middle Earth?

It’s the height of the Para-moon and Sheriff Jack Lang is up to his ‘6’ in alligators. Defending those weaker than himself is in his DNA which is what drove him to become a Navy pilot. But who is he kidding? Alligators he could handle! But supernatural bad guys? Ragtag doesn’t begin to describe his band of temporary ‘heroes’. If he has to go to war with the group that showed up at dawn, he might as well start cutting up white sheets and attaching them to garden stakes.

With Tempe and the other Paramortals ill or incapacitated and the sudden appearance of beings he’s never heard of, will Jack be able to keep Destiny out of the hands of their enemies for the rest of the power down an–very important–keep the humans in the dark?

It’s only twenty-four hours. If worse comes to worse, he has a dragon on his side and a few surprises up his sleeve. “Yippe, ki, yi…”

But a lot can happen in twenty-four hours and things don’t always go as planned.

this book is part of a series?
yes
you lost sleep while writing this book?
OMG yes, the toughest one yet

Of course. I pulled out all my fantasy reference books because I wasn’t up on some of the baddest creatures
some characters in this book are not human?
(pets for example)
A bunch.
this book has more than one genre?
Hmm, paranormal/urban fantasy/mystery/cozy, lol
you speak more than one language?

Storm Lake Boxed Set by Livia Quinn @liviaquinn #RLFblog #paranormalToday’s featured book is the Storm Lake boxed set, a paranormal by Livia Quinn.

Welcome to Destiny, or should I say, Middle Earth?

I took the Sheriff position in Destiny thinking it a quaint, safe, normal small town – like Mayberry, but that ship sailed after I met Tempest Pomeroy – trouble magnet, storm witch, daughter of a Djinn and Tempestaerie, friend to dragons, fae, witches, and vampires.

Holy… to say my life had gone FUBAR was like saying Wolverine’s fingernails were long enough for a manicure. For a man who prided himself on being in control, never confronting a situation I couldn’t handle, suddenly I was face to face with my own delusions.

I may have thought that was the last straw. But there was always another haystack.

Blame it on the Moon by Livia Quinn @liviaquinn #RLFblog #paranormalLove…when you least expect it.

D.C. native, Livia Quinn, lives and writes by the bayou in Louisiana. She’s written eleven books in her Storm Lake series, both paranormal and military romance. While working as a plant manager, computer trainer, mail lady, professional singer, and small business owner she stocked her brain full of great characters and fodder for her stories and is eager to share them with her readers.

Take These Broken Wings

Blame it on the Moon by Livia Quinn @liviaquinn #RLFblog #paranormalStrap in ’cause it’s a wild ride through Destiny, or should I say Middle Earth…

Five months ago, Sheriff Jack Lang would have sworn there was no such thing as vampires, tempestaeries, djinn or dragons. That was before he met Tempest Pomeroy, his sexy redheaded mail lady and trouble magnet. He’d fallen for her before he found out about her “special abilities”. But that wasn’t what turned his life upside down. No, to say Jack’s world had gone FUBAR was like saying Wolverine’s fingernails were long enough for a manicure.

Tempe had been afraid her supernatural nature would be a problem for Jack, who’d mistaken Destiny for a “Mayberry-like” small town, but that didn’t explain why he’d left her in favor of haunting the highest levees in the parish. Sure, he’d received a shock, but what was it going to take to get him to return to his life and to her? A stubborn man is one thing; a grumpy, depressed twenty-ton dragon was a bit more of a challenge.

Blood Moon, book 6, will be available for preorder in July.

#Romance Lives Forever @SayaraStClair @JessicaCale #RLFblogMay 2017 marked the first month on the new WordPress site. Because the feed into Triberr stayed the same, the number of viewers did not decrease. In fact, I linked to a few more tribes that feature the romance genre, which gave RLF an expanded reach and views were up all around. Sincere thanks to Dee Owens at Personalized Marketing Inc for her hard work at making this blog look awesome and work so perfectly.

Three of the top four posts were blog related, including our special RLFblog Day One post titled Discover Authors and Books with RLFblog, RLFblog Moving Day, and the monthly RLF Gems. I did not count them among the top bloggers because all those awards would go to me. I’d like to see the credit go to guests. You are why I do this!

The Top Blogger for this month is Saraya St Clair, who wins a month of free advertising on the blog. Top Blogger of 2016 was Susan V Vaughn, who won a year of free advertising for 2017.

Each month, the RLF Gems post ranks in the top ten but is not counted, in order to focus on guests. The winners are judged by cumulative page views, including return and unique visits.

Congratulations to these fine bloggers:

2. Kristina Knight

Welcome to Destiny, or I should say Middle Earth…
I’m Jack Lang, sheriff and former Navy pilot. To say Destiny was not what I expected would be like saying Wolverine’s fingernails were long enough for a manicure. I’d been looking for Mayberry, a quaint little safe town to raise my daughter. That ship sailed when I met Tempest Pomeroy, who turned out to be a storm witch with a djinni brother and an ex who was… hell, I don’t know what he is. But I wasn’t sure I could stay. I had a teenage daughter to consider.
I’m Tempe Pomeroy, Tempestaerie, mail lady, and as Jack likes to say, trouble magnet.
Isn’t it just like a man to exit a relationship when he finds out a woman’s got a few little secrets? Jack’s finally investigating my little brother’s disappearance but time is running out and our relationship’s gone from attraction to suspicion, support to friendship, romance to oh-my-god-get-away-from-me revulsion.
Jack’s was a Navy pilot. He says he wants to know “everything”. He may stick around, help me save my brother and discover the whereabouts of my parents, but I doubt he’ll still want to take me to the Mardi Gras ball, once he knows “everything”. He’ll probably take the first jet out of Middle Earth ’cause there’s a lot of everything…

What if everything you worked for and the lives of countless
veterans could be affected by one night of folly…
Ridge Romano is a billionaire inventor, military contractor
and the CEO of two multi-billion dollar companies. And he’s on a mission for
vets. With a laser focus on his priorities, how did he wind up on a stage
between two cover models with a hundred women crying, “Tucker, take it off”?
He’d pay for this… somehow.
Buffy’s face and body were recognizable worldwide but what
she was searching for was the face of her franchise. She’d come to D.C. to find
that face, interviewing cover models from around the world, and finally she’d
found her man. Tucker – the late arrival – had that je ne sais quoi that would make her talent agency and photography
studio an immediate success. She had to have him.
There was just one problem. He wasn’t a cover model and he said
he had more important priorities – veterans. Who was she to argue with such a
noble cause? The trouble was the Calloways always knew what they wanted and
Buffy wanted Tucker. Could this be the first time a Calloway was wrong?

Mayberry or Middle Earth? – The Paramortals have a saying, “One meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it.” Our new sheriff said it differently, “Paramortal, my A$$!”
My name is Tempest Pomeroy. For nineteen years I denied my heritage, until my brother’s genie bottle went missing. Time is running out for River, and the attraction that was growing between me and Sheriff Jack Lang derailed after a series of shocks sent us both reeling, and he got his first glimpse of my Paramortal “talents” – a few measly bolts of lightning aimed at his—in his general direction.
