  • Immortals,  Know the Hero

Meet Tornahdo from Lights Out by Kayelle Allen #SciFi #SpaceOpera #RLFblog

Let’s meet Tornahdo from Lights Out, a science fiction / space opera by Kayelle Allen. He might be dead, but that’s not going to stop him from saving mankind. As a member of the Ghost Corps, human special ops soldiers who have been resurrected with the blood of immortals, this is one ghost who’s not taking no for an answer.

Tornahdo from Lights Out by Kayelle Allen

    Genre Space Opera, Sci Fi

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG

    Age: 37

    Gender: Male

    Birthplace: Erased

    Profession: Soldier/Special OPS/Ghost Corps

    Ethnicity: Hispanic-Terran

    Species (for scifi/fantasy characters): Human

What does this person look like?

Tornahdo is dusky-skinned, brown eyes, thick brown wavy hair that curls when long. He keeps his hair military short. He is 6 feet tall. Genetic enhancements make him quite strong, but one odd trait is the inability to grow facial hair.

Who is the significant other in your character’s life?

His abuela (Grandmother) until he joined Ghost Corps.

    How does your character dress?

He wears the Ghost Corps Master Sergeant’s uniform. Even when out of uniform, he still looks military.

What are the qualities of your character voice (pitch, quality, volume)?

He is Hispanic-Terran and has a slight accent. The tone is medium range when calm. He rarely raises his voice. He speaks fast in his native tongue. His voice is deep, but closer to tenor than baritone.

If you could only hear this character’s voice (but not see them) what characteristic would identify the person?

His accent. Or his favorite prayer. He will use some Spanish terms such as Abuela. He nicknames everyone.

How educated is this character (book smart, self-taught, widely-experienced)?

Tornado is educated with some college, mostly military training. He does not flaunt his knowledge. He teaches others without having to be asked.

Does your character scrape by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?

He adapts to his environment. He is used to military comforts. A bunk or tent, a lean-to, or on the ground.

About Your Writer: Questions for your character to answer about you.

To honor the person who chose to share your story, please answer at least four of these questions. Questions with more than one point should be considered one question. You may answer as many as you like.

Was there anything your writer discovered about you that was a surprise to one or both of you?

She never thought my religious background was important, but it is the only thing that makes me regret my life’s choices.

When your writer is writing about you, what do you think makes your writer the most happy?

That despite the circumstances, I am happy. Little goes right for me but that doesn’t keep me from loving life.

What do you wish your writer would write next?

    The sequel. Continue my adventure.

Is there anything you’d like to say to your writer?

You honor me by in telling my amazing journey. Muy gracias de me corazón. (Thank you very much from my heart.)
