Nevada Cowboy series: Jase by Kristina Knight @AuthorKristina #RLFblog #NewRelease #contemporaryromance

Nevada Cowboy series: Jase by Kristina Knight @AuthorKristina #RLFblog #NewRelease #contemporaryromanceKristina Knight, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Jase.

Jase is the 3rd book in my Nevada Cowboys trilogy, which tells the story of three brothers who have been wounded by love in the past. Jase is the eldest brother, and he falls in love at first sight – though he is not at all ready to admit it! – for Sabrina, a woman who seems his polar opposite. There is a lot of banter and a strong rom-com feel. it’s a fun book!

    Jase by Kristina Knight

    Genre Contemporary Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

Hot Las Vegas nights get even steamier for these three powerful, wealthy businessmen with cowboy roots and the strong, independent women who fall for them. What happens in Vegas certainly won’t stay there as these successful tycoons win at love.

Jase Reeves lives his life by rules: never get emotional at the poker table and never get emotional with women. But when he meets self-help author Sabrina York all bets are off. Sabrina enjoys fame and fortune writing her female-empowerment books, but she could do without the reputation – that of the Oldest Living (Supposed) Virgin in Vegas. Blowing up her entire life because sexy gambler Jase Reeves has shown an interest in her? Sabrina has already written the book on that, but staying away from Jase isn’t as simple as closing the cover of her favorite book. And for Jase, melting the heart of the Vegas Virgin might be his greatest gamble yet…

Why did you write this book?

This series has been so much fun to write – all three brothers were wounded in their own way by their shared past. Jase, though, has the most scars. Helping him deal with the past and find love on his own terms was so rewarding!

What is your favorite genre to read?

I read all kinds of books. I’ve been in a rom-com mood lately, though. The funnier, the better!

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

There are so many! Jo March comes to mind, following quickly by Mr. Darcy (Colin Firth’s version, please)!

What are you working on at the moment?

I’m working on something new – a women’s fiction novel with some rom-com elements, of course.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

After Jase releases, I have another indie release coming up this summer, Outsider in a Small Town, which continues my Slippery Rock series which was part of Harlequin’s Superromance line. And then I’ve got a few things out on submission that I should be able to tell you about soon!

Read Gage in the Nevada Cowboys series by Kristina Knight @AuthorKristina #RLFblog #NewRelease #contemporaryromanceKristina Knight, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Gage.

    Gage by Kristina Knight

    Genre Contemporary romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

Hot Las Vegas nights get even steamier for these three powerful, wealthy businessmen with cowboy roots and the strong, independent women who fall for them. What happens in Vegas certainly won’t stay there as these successful tycoons win at love.

Hot shot property developer Gage Reeves is taking Vegas by storm – that is, until his brother makes him the face of desperate bachelors everywhere. Enter Callie Holliday, who is trying to get a new, upscale spa off the ground. Callie’s connections in Vegas run just as deep as Gage’s, but unlike Gage’s family past Callie’s is pristine. They make a deal: her business venture, his building but what starts off strictly professional turned decidedly personal. Will Gage and Callie risk their professional success for a shot at love?

It’s risky business gambling on love…

Why did you write this book?

I had been wanting to write a series of brothers for a while, and after a trip to Las Vegas with RadioMan, I realized where I wanted to write them. I wanted them to be powerful, but real. Smart and sexy. Independent and yet committed to their family. Gage, Connor and Jase were born out of that trip and Gage was really bugging me to write his story first (what can I say? he’s the baby of the family!) and here we are!

What is your favorite genre to read?

I adore contemporary romance, but I read all across the genre. Lately I’ve been reading a lot of feel-good romance – rom-com and the like. I think we could all use an escape from the pandemic!

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

Oh, gosh, there are so many! I adore Nora Roberts’ Ford from Tribute and the March sisters (all of them, but Jo, especially), Suzanne Enoch’s Sam from her Billionaire series (who doesn’t love a smart alecky cat burglar?!?). Liz Flaherty writes characters I want to meet in every book and Nicole Flockton’s Gage (from the Sweet Texas series) is another favorite!

What are you working on at the moment?

I’m working on a couple of new things – a contemporary romance set on a Caribbean island and a women’s fiction set on a fictional island in the Mediterranean…I’m into islands lately!

What books will we see from you in coming months?

My next release is Jase, which wraps up the Nevada Cowboys series. And then I have a couple of books coming out in the fall, but I don’t have firm release dates on those yet – stay tuned!

Read the Nevada Cowboys series: Connor by Kristina Knight @AuthorKristina #RLFblog #ContemporaryRomanceKristina Knight, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your series.

Connor in the Nevada Cowboys Series

    Genre Contemporary Romance/Rom Com

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

Vegas Nightly publisher Connor Reeves is close to meeting a big-time career goal: making his magazine a state-wide must-read. The only problem? His biggest competition, a larger publisher based in Colorado seems to know his every move. Miranda Clayton is tired of society parties and shopping, but her tycoon father refuses to take her seriously. Her solution? Beat him at his own game by going to work for his top competitor, Connor Reeves. Connor isn’t fooled by Miranda’s act for a second. He knows exactly who she is; the question is what does the lady want?

Which book is this in the series?

Connor is the second book in this series. Gage was first, and Jase is coming up next!

How many books do you plan for the series?

There are three books in the series – 3 brothers, 3 feisty heroines, 3 really fun books!

    How many books are completed?

I’m finishing up edits on the third book … so I’ll say 2.75. lol

What characters are the main stars in your series?

The brothers are the main characters, but I consider Las Vegas another character. How could Vegas *not* be a character? I love the city and I tried to infuse the books with a lot of local color from food trucks to the casinos, the neon and even the desert.

What is the overall theme in this series?

The theme for the series is that you have to let go of the past. All three brothers are, in their own way, holding on to past hurts. All three of them are somewhat stuck – they don’t see it; they think they’re just fine. I think a lot of us can get stuck because of our pasts, but when we let go we have the ability to change our circumstances. Connor, Jase, and Gage have a strong bond, they have all the money in the world, but they’re all a little bit closed off until Miranda, Sabrina, and Callie come into their lives.

Please list the series titles below, in any order you prefer.

The Nevada Cowboys are Gage, Connor, and Jase in numerical order.

What did you like best about writing this series?

I liked taking a virtual trip back to Las Vegas – one of my favorite places in the world. I liked exploring the bond between the brothers, and I liked tearing down their beliefs about themselves so that they were open to love again.

What other books (not in this series, have you written?)

I’ve written 20 books, for a variety of publishers. Each has been an adventure – the life of a writer can be really hard! – but they’ve each taught me something. I tend to write in series, so there are my Texas Girls books, the Slippery Rock series (written for Harlequin’s Superromance line), the Anthem Trilogy (a novella series) and several stand-alone titles including Moonlight Match, Lost on Anna Maria Island and Protecting the Quarterback.

    QUICK

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?…
Yes! I write contemporary romance and women’s fiction, although I’m still awaiting a publication date on my first women’s fiction novel!
How do you come up with ideas?…
Ideas come to me all the time – I’ll overhear a bit of a conversation, or people-watching at the mall will make me wonder, or a movie…ideas are everywhere, we just have to look for them!
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
Getting that first draft down. I’m a big believer in “you can’t edit a blank page” and there are times, in every first draft, when I just don’t want to. I’m stuck or I’m not connecting with the characters or…heck, it’s a beautiful, sunshiney day after a long, gray winter…those are the days that I just have to push through because if I don’t get the draft down then I can’t make it pretty – and publishable!
When did you write your first book?…
I’ve been writing stories as long as I can remember. My first attempt at an actual book was in 6th grade – I wrote a girl-power, Three Musketeers story. It was so much fun, and probably completely awful (I lost it, boo!), but it definitely made me want to write more.

    FUN

Leather or lace? – lace, leather makes you sweaty!
Black or red? – black, the better to blend!
Satin sheets or smooth cotton? – the smoothest of cotton
Ocean or mountains? – Ocean. Most of the time.
City life or country life? – Country – but close enough to the city for a night out!
Party life or evening at home? – Evening at home, for sure!
    Dogs or cats? – DOGS!!!!!!!

Why did you write this book?
I was asked to join the Resort to Romance continuity last spring, and the concept was so much fun I couldn’t say no! All the books are standalone, all are sweet romance, and they’re filled with uplifting romance, laughter, and characters you just want to root for!
What is your favorite genre to read?
It depends on my mood. I read a LOT of contemporary romance, but romantic suspense is another favorite.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Gosh, another toughie! I’m going to say Jo from Little Women because she’s a little persnickety, but she is also such a caring person.
What are you working on at the moment?
I have a couple of books going on right now. I’m working on a women’s fiction novel, set in the Mediterranean and a cowboy series (contemporary, of course!) set in Nebraska.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
I’m releasing my next Slippery Rock book in a couple of months and will have more details on release dates for my contemporary cowboy and women’s fiction books in a few weeks. Yay!
