Have you read 88s, Baby by June Kramin @junekramin #RLFblog #ContemporaryRomanceJessica was wandering the highway after a storm when Quentin stops to help. His tractor trailer proved not large enough for her emotional baggage, but his immediate love of her was more than adequate.

June, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about 88s, Baby.

    Thanks for having me!

    88s, Baby by June Kramin

    Genre Contemporary Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

    It’s currently just 99¢ – it’s book 1 of 2

When a terrible storm takes Quentin on a detour, he finds something far more dangerous than tornados and hail; he finds Jessica, who threatens to leave a gaping hole in his heart.

Jessica is running from more than a storm. A painful secret from her past has left physical as well as emotional scars. Although she finds herself falling for Quentin, she flees the safety of his company, convinced he’d be better off without her.

Unfortunately, trouble finds her before Quentin does. Freeing Jessica from a would-be kidnapper is just the beginning. Convincing her to forget her past proves to be an even tougher challenge as he persuades her to return with him to his Texas home.

    QUICK

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?

Yes, I do. I also have a middle grade fantasy series, Before Happily Ever After, under the pen name Ann T Bugg. The stories are fairy tales and folklore retold, with the shenanigans only my 2 characters, Valerie and Samantha can deliver. It ranges from sweet Snow White and Rapunzel tales, to helping King Arthur and Captain Nemo, and they even find the lost cities of gold and Atlantis! The first book in the series is currently free.

How do you come up with ideas?

I honestly have no clue. I’ve always said I have nothing to do with my writing process! Ideas hit me when the characters are good and ready. (This is the part where you run from the crazy writer…) I had one character interrupt me when I was in the middle of book 4 of my romantic suspense series and demand I write his next book. It was actually the favorite of many fans, so it pays to listen to them. (The others waited patiently for me to return. *whew* )

What is the single most important part of writing for you?

I hope to make an escape for the reader. I love when I get an e-mail, “You kept me up last night!” Things are depressing enough these days. I want the reader to be able to be lost in another world and hopefully, with a new book boyfriend. I receive that e-mail a lot about Quentin! I have to admit, he is one of my favorites. (Don’t tell the others.)

When did you write your first book?

Although I had been told I would be a writer since I was in third grade, I was forty before I actually sat down to write. When I did, it was a full-length novel. I didn’t have dozens of spiral notebooks like many of my friends with tons of unfinished stories and ideas. I never did the article, short story, novella thing. I went straight to 80K. I went from there to a middle grade, and back and forth for years. Fifteen years later, I’m at thirty books published. Seems like it went by in a blink.

    FUN

Leather or lace? Neither really. Lounge pants all the way!

    Black or red? black

Satin sheets or smooth cotton? cotton

Ocean or mountains? Ocean – Maui girl here.

City life or country life? Country

Party life or evening at home? At home and in bed by 9! LOL

Dogs or cats? Yes please. Love them both! Although I only have geckos now.

Read Love You More the new #Contemporary Romance by June Kramin @junekramin #RLFblog #RomanceThe way Finley learned her boyfriend was a twin was a horrible shock. But after a mugging almost takes his life, more secrets are revealed than she can deal with. Two reasons make it impossible to leave him, despite the deceptions.

June, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Love You More.

Love You More by June Kramin

    Genre Contemporary Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

When a mugger steals more than her boyfriend’s wallet, Finley’s life is turned upside-down.

Finley had only just learned her boyfriend, Rory, was a twin. An incident in their home the night before left more than rivalry between the two brothers; Rory was out for revenge. Before he can rightfully deal with Randy, they are mugged and one of them killed.

Upon her arrival at the hospital, Finley is horrified to learn they are unsure which one lived. After almost a year with the man she’s loved like no other, she has no problem figuring out it’s Rory. Elation immediately replaces her worst fear. Days pass, the incident forgotten, life goes on, only much better. Rory is far more attentive and loving and finally proposes. Finley has never been happier.

One by one, secrets are revealed about Rory’s past, and Finley discovers the last year of her life has been a complete lie. Although she’s unable to know what to do about staying with the man she thought she loved, two reasons make her feelings impossible to deny him.

Why did you write this book?

Better question: Why do I breathe? I never know when something is going to hit me. I had just finished editing for some friends, hit send, and kicked out 4K words. The stories weren’t related in any way, but they are twins, so maybe that was some inspiration.

What is your favorite genre to read?

I kind of read all over the place. I gravitate to books people I know publish.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

This is how all over the board I am. I’m torn between Luca Davenport from John Sandford’s crime-thrillers, and the Evil Queen from Once Upon a time. LOL

What are you working on at the moment?

I have a novel I put aside to write this one. I am just getting back in to see where it will take me. It doesn’t yet have a title. That always come last for me. It’s another contemporary romance based in Minnesota.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

I can’t say for sure. Other than the one above, I have a few characters hollering at me from different books/series that I thought I was done with. I’ll have to see who shouts loudest.

    I’ve Also Got Your Front, Hailey a new #romance by @junekramin #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and
    introduces the story.

    About the Author

Wife, Mother, Writer, Lunatic. Not necessarily in that
    order.
“There is a fine line between genius and crazy… I
like to use that line as a jump rope!”
June, who prefers to go by Bug, was born in Philadelphia but
moved to Maui, Hawaii when she was four. She met her “Prince Charming” on Kauai
and is currently living “Happily Ever After” in a small town in Minnesota.
Her son and daughter are her greatest accomplishments. She
takes pride in embarrassing them every chance she gets.
Being hopelessly addicted to 80’s music is her super power.

    Interview with June Kramin

    Why did you write
    this book?
I Got Your Back, Hailey came as a sort of surprise. When the
story took off, I honestly wasn’t exactly sure the role Parker was going to
take. I’ll always confess to being a “pantser”. I usually let my characters run
the show; they haven’t let me down yet. This one was definitely more along the
lines of what I love to read – romantic suspense. Even through my edits, I
found myself wondering how they’d get out of their latest mess. When I sent it
out for reviews, I got the most amazing e-mails from fans, begging for more. I
couldn’t disappoint, so I quickly began working away at the sequel. There is
nothing I love more than a good series, and following a favorite author.
I hope to see many more come from this bunch of misfits!
    What is your favorite
    genre to read?
Besides 3 authors, all I’ll read are my friend’s books so
that kinda makes me all over the board. I’ll give anything a shot, but I love a
good suspense or anything that keeps you wanting to turn the page to see what
    happens next.
    Who is your favorite
character from fiction (not including your own)?
Lucas Davenport from John Sandford’s Prey series. Again, I
love following a character from book to book. I’ve read him for years and will
hate to see it end someday.
    What are you working
on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
My first release was a time travel romance – Dustin Time.
Fans asked for more so I wrote a sequel. I never thought about writing a third
but after I was released from my contract and rereleased them, the characters decided
they weren’t done with me. I was afraid to say anything in case I didn’t see it
through but I’m more than halfway in and still going strong. I do plan on
another book in the Hailey series as well – or several. We’ll have to see what
they do to me. I still have some early books that I keep saying I’ll go back
and beat into shape, but new stories keep getting in the way. I always have a
ton of pots on the fire.
    Please tell us about
    your latest book.
I’ve Also Got Your Front, Hailey – Follow up to I’ve Got
Your Back, Hailey. (Parker names these things – don’t blame me ;)
With the McMand job behind them, Donny is taking a much
needed vacation at one of Parker’s safe houses. After encountering a woman in
trouble and trying to help her, he’s injured in the struggle. He’s forced to
call for Parker and the rest of the team’s help.
Although the island is normally a peaceful tourist
destination, they soon discover that it is run by a drug lord. He’ll stop at
nothing, trying to get back what is his – the woman Donny rescued. She fled,
afraid for her life, and Donny is determined to get her off the island safely.
Falling in love with her only complicates matters more.
They desperately need to get to safety, but Parker just as
desperately wants to keep his Mexico retreat in the clear. The sudden
appearance of his sister and an old hacker friend they discover in the mix
quickly turns this into their most dangerous job yet.

    Interview with June Kramin

    Why did you write this
    book?
I only do what the voices in my head tell me to. ;) Honestly,
I was in bed one night and a character name popped into my head. Sounds cheesy,
but it was Parker Peters. Yup – Spiderman in reverse. I don’t know why, but I was
determined to write something around that. I was in the middle of another project
at the time, but once I started – it just ran itself. It’s by far the most action
I’ve written and I loved the way it all fell together. I loved the mystery of Parker.
Just like his name came to me with no clue who he was, he was just “there”
and I wasn’t sure who he would turn into. Hands down, he’s my favorite male MC to
    date!
    What is your favorite
    genre to read?
I like a lot of suspense. I love the “can’t wait to turn
    the page” feeling.
What is your favorite character from fiction (not including your
    own characters)?
For many years now, it has been Lucas Davenport – John Sandford’s
main character in his Prey series.
    Do you enjoy films and/or
TV shows? Which are your favorites?
We cancelled TV almost 10 years ago. We’re not reality fans and
it seemed that’s all that was on. We are big movie people, though. We’ve gotten
into a few TV shows that we found on Netflix. Currently we’re catching up on Leverage
and Castle. With my middle grade books, fun fantasies are also favorite. Once Upon
a Time and Grimm are on the list as well.
    What are you working on
at the moment, and what are we likely to see from you in the coming months?
Like with my characters running the show, I let my fans bully
me. I received an awesome e-mail about someone loving my novel: “Money Didn’t
Buy Her Love”. She was hoping for a sequel so I wrote it. I was glad someone
else’s mind went where mine had gone with a secondary character. I’m on the last
edits then it will be off to my editor. Same for “I Got Your Back, Hailey”.
My 1st two 5-star reviews mentioned wanting more so I am working on that
as well. I love to follow a series. I hope I can keep the intensity up with Hailey
and her crew and keep them coming. I do still have a few older novels that are easier
romance reads on my laptop and the last few of my middle grade series. Eventually
they will need to be beaten into shape and get out there as well. I always have
a few pots on the fire.
    Please tell us about your
    latest book.
I Got Your Back, Hailey is full of twists and turns and surprises.
Parker and Hailey meet by chance, but he discovers she’s who he’d been searching
for. They find out that they share a connection to the man that wants her dead.
Together they try to find ways to prove his guilt while trying to stay alive.
A jailbreak of some needed muscle, a sassy young pilot, a sexy
stewardess, and a computer geek with a Gilligan’s Island fetish make up my favorite
    list of secondary characters ever!
I love our summer road trips. Austin, Texas
was last summer’s destination for a convention. It made for a great scene here,
    as well as Las Vegas
a few years prior. Hailey’s distaste for California
traffic stems from my experience a few years back as well. LOL. Guess if I’m going
to complete the sequel, I’ll need to road trip again. J
When Hailey stumbles upon a backpack full of money on her nightly
jog, she is forced to flee the security of her secret identity.
Although the sudden appearance of a man that had been flirting
with her earlier seems odd, Hailey accepts Parker’s help in getting the heavy bag
home. Within moments of arriving, they escape under gunfire. The men it was intended
for want it back, and Hailey has now made herself a target.
Safe in a motel room, the two of them discover the truth: although
their meeting was an accident, Parker had been involved in the bag’s drop and she
had been his assignment all along. Now, getting Hailey away safely is Parker’s new
mission. Together they struggle to put together the pieces of Hailey’s past and
discover that they have more in common than they thought.
Being on the run, keeping Hailey’s family safe, and searching
for clues to put away the man that wants her dead are hard enough. Falling in love
in the middle of it all was the last thing either one of them expected.
