    5 Easy Questions: Jocie McKade @JocieMcKade #RLFblog #romcom

    Heart River Inn
5 Easy Questions is an interview is designed to be quick,
easy, and fun. Today’s guest is Jocie McKade.

    5 Easy Questions

This interview is designed to be quick, easy, and fun. Answer
any five of these. Please put your answer on the line below the question.
    What is your go-to meal
to order when you dine out? Your favorite “I know it will hit the spot”
    item.
Anything I don’t have to cook! I do have a passion for Italian,
Mexican, Southern Fried, Yankee farm food, and Midwest
garden dishes. Oh, and Crab Rangoon, and……maybe a foodie world tour is in order.
I guess I’d have to go with honey smoked ham and mashed potatoes – perfect.
    Who is your “book
boyfriend”? You know, that hottie you read about and drool over.
Just one? Really? I do love Longmire – Craig Johnson’s cowboy,
and of course, I wouldn’t turn down an evening with Diana Galbadon’s Jamie Fraser,
and when my adventurous side rear’s it’s ugly head, Dirk Pitt, the brain child of
Clive Cussler would be my pick.
    What were you like when
    you were in school?
I was a NERD! I was the kid who would win all the mock Jeopardy
tournaments, loved history, political science, and hated the teachers that told
me I could only read and do a book report on one book a quarter. Gasp.
    Would you rather stay
inside and watch snow falling, or get out in it and build a snowman?
If it’s above zero, I’ll be snowmobiling and building a snow
fort to contain my extended snow family. I may not look so hot in a bikini, but
I can rock a parka!! If it is below zero, I’ll be making snow cream, and sipping
a hot toddie in front of the woodstove! Again rocking a parka.
    What is your favorite
    quote?
It Never Ceases to Amaze me. I have no idea who said this. I
saw it on a bumper sticker on a Hummer limo and stole it.
    What was your favorite
    book as a child?
I had a backpack full of favorites. This is one of the hardest
questions I’ve ever been ask. Again, y’all make me pick one? I guess I’d have to
pick To Kill a Mockingbird. It was the first time my belief in the American justice
system was sorely tested, and I’ve never forgotten it.
    What was the last movie
    you watched (home or theater)?
GI JOE, yeah, I do like it when the good guys win. And BONUS,
    The Rock is shirtless!
    If you’re on Twitter,
what’s your favorite hashtag to watch?
    I love #romcom #amwriters #weekendreads
If the hero of your latest
book called you on the phone, what would be a perfect ringtone for him?
Stay with Me by Sam Smith, because she’s all he needs.

    About the Book

    Title Heart River Inn
    Genre Romantic Comedy
    Author Name Jocie McKade
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG13
    A mysterious photograph,
lethal swans, gushy beds and a kitschy lovers resort in the Pocono
Mountains. Can you say single woman in hell?
    Lexi Sheridan doesn’t
believe in true love. It’s a fantasy found only in old Hollywood
movies. She’s a journalist trying to climb the professional ladder and work her
way into a national news organization. When a mysterious old photograph lands in
her lap, it could be her ‘golden ticket’ to that coveted news job.
    That photo leads her
to the Heart River Inn, a lovers’ resort nestled in the wilds of the Pocono Mountains. The resort is a kitschy place that she at
first finds nauseatingly filled with fake couples in love. However, after only a
few days interviewing guests, her jaded soul begins to see things with a new perspective.
    At the Heart River Inn,
Lexi encounters a soft-hearted owner with a secret past, a hot manager, lethal swans,
attack curtains, and an assortment of couples you won’t soon forget.
    If on some night your
world is looking bleak, your heart is broken, and you don’t think true love exists,
maybe you’ll be lucky enough to stumble across the heart-shaped sign of the Heart
    River Inn.
