Character Interview of Rescuing Cade @ElodieParkes #RLFblog #comeandgetyourlove

    Rescuing Cade
    by Elodie Parkes

The character interview allows a hero or heroine to tell
readers about himself or herself. Today’s interview is with Cde from Rescuing
    Cade.

Cade’s trying to get over a broken heart when his friend Jack
takes him off to a nightclub, named only, The Club. Although at first Cade is shocked
by the place he meets Marissa. It’s not long before he and Marissa get together,
but under the pressure of expectations from, The Club, and Marissa’s fear of commitment,
they’re both running in opposite directions.
Gorgeous Cade has touched Marissa’s heart in ways she doesn’t
    want to admit.
Lovely Marissa has lifted Cade’s sadness and opened his heart
    to love again.
The trouble is — someone has to give a little. Who’s it going
    to be?

    About the Book

    Title Rescuing Cade
    Genre BDSM Romance
    Author Elodie Parkes

    What’s the background
    to the story, Rescuing Cade?
I was asked to write a story for an anthology.
Almost immediately I had my character, Cade, form in my head and a love story for
him, but then I was informed the anthology would be BDSM. I thought I’d have trouble
with the genre, but the editor of the proposed anthology said, ‘give it a go’. I
began to adapt the love story in my mind for the character Cade, thinking I’d have
to consider the plot for a short time, but only a few days later the anthology was
cancelled. By then Cade was so real to me and a story with a sprinkle of the genre,
BDSM, was firmly in my mind, so I wrote it.
The story is much longer than I originally thought it might be,
especially when it was going to be for an anthology, and the romance conflict arc
is now about both Cade and my heroine, Marissa. As usual, I fell in love with my
characters and couldn’t stop writing until they reached their HEA.
I did a little research for this story because I didn’t know
much about the type of club Jack, Cade’s friend, takes him to. Once I no longer
needed to place emphasis on dominance and submission, the story unfolded easily,
interweaving with the original love story I had for Cade when he first began whispering
    in my ear.
With scorching hot love scenes, tender moments, a dash of angst
and a splash of humor this is Cade’s journey to love again.
    I hope readers enjoy it.

    Character Interview with Cade Cassidy

Visiting today, we have Cade Cassidy from the new Evernight Publishing romance release, Rescuing Cade.
    Hi Cade, thanks for coming
    along to the blog today
Hi, thank you for inviting me. I have to say it’s a little embarrassing
seeing my story published, although it’s great too.
    What’s embarrassing about
    it?
Well, without giving too much away, the way Marissa and I meet
is unusual, I think … (He looks around and smiles as if remembering it.)
    So, Cade, tell us something
    about Marissa.
She’s pretty, intelligent, lots of fun and best of all she’s
    mine.
    What is, The Club? It’s
mysteriously referred to in the book blurb.
The Club, is the name of the BDSM club that my buddy, Jack, takes
me to. He’s trying to lighten me up right at the start of the story, because truth
is, I was still recovering from a bad break up. There’s a great description of The
Club, in the story, which is sexy and gives a good picture of what goes on there.
A BDSM club … Cade are
you a Sub or a Dom?
(He stares at me for a moment with his gorgeous blue eyes.)
I’d rather not say. The whole thing is still a little gray for
    me. (Now he’s smiling.)
    Okay let’s have some quick
questions. What’s your favorite, jeans, or a suit?
I wear suits and jeans. I don’t have a favorite because I have
some cool suits for work and some great faded denims that I throw on when I’m not
working. It took me a while to get those jeans just the way I like them, ripped
and faded. Marissa especially likes the tear in the upper thigh part.
    Do you ever go commando?
(He grins and his eyes twinkle)
Er, yes, sometimes in my favorite jeans, the ones I just described.
Once in a suit when Marissa and I went to The Club to meet with friends there.
    Do you like making love
with the lights off or on?
Both, either, it depends … Marissa likes candlelight (He smiles)
    Coffee or Cola?
Has to be coffee. Are you offering me a cup … I didn’t get breakfast
    One more question. Maybe
it’s a moot point since you’ve mentioned The Club, but here is it. In bed, toys
or no toys? (Okay, he’s laughing now.)
The answer’s the same as lights on or off, both depending on
the situation. I seriously need coffee now.

Character Interview: Daisy and Dhruv @ElodieParkes #RLFblog #vampires

    A Little Mysterious
Elodie Parkes, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. Tell us
about your book, A little Mysterious.
    Book: A Little Mysterious
    Publisher: Evernight Publishing
    Genre: Vampire Romance
‘A Little Mysterious’ my November 27 release with Evernight Publishing
was inspired black swans and a man I met in my work. I say met, but it was a fleeting
meeting. I don’t even know his name. The black swan idea has been with me since
I went to Australia on holiday
and saw them, flocks of them swimming in the edge of the ocean in a place near Melbourne. There was also a
tame one that lived on the pond where I was renting a holiday house in Perth.
The man who inspired Dhruv, my alpha male in ‘A Little Mysterious’
came into the antique shop where I work. He was gorgeous, so polite, and cool, that
I went to the window so I could secretly watch him walk away down the street.
    A Little Mysterious
He’d been sent off course…he thought he was lost…until he found
    Daisy.
His vampire abilities were special. He belonged to an elite group.
Moving home, they are set off course by a storm that lands Dhruv alone, hungry,
and desperate in a strange town.
A story of lust, love, and coincidence.

    Interview with Dhruv and Daisy

    Daisy, would you like
to tell the readers about how you and Dhruv met?
Daisy: We met on the high street in the café I worked in didn’t
    we Dhruv?
Dhruv: We did formally meet then, although I took a while to
sat much to Daisy. I liked her as soon as I saw her. That was before we actually
met. I’d seen her around shall we say. I don’t want to give spoilers.
Daisy: That’s true, but I wanted you right away. I could hardly
take my eyes off you. When I went up the back of the café and cleared the tables,
I used to stare at you.
Dhruv: You did more than stare you sighed over me. I knew it.
I could sense it. I could feel your need and it fuelled mine.
He leans across and kisses Daisy, then keeps hold of her hand.
    Dhruv, Can you describe
when you first knew you were in love with Daisy?
Dhruv: You know, I’m sorry but I can’t. It was weird for me.
I couldn’t admit it to myself. I think Daisy loved me right away. Did you Daisy?
Daisy: I knew I wanted to make love with you, but I felt such
a strong attraction to you I think I might have loved you right away. Then I knew
the first time we made love, it was sex that turned into making love. For me anyway.
Although I liked him the moment I saw him, in the cafe doorway. I wanted those arms
    around me right away.
    She leans across and kisses
him this time .I better ask another question since now they are starting to get
    a little heated.
    What’s one thing you might
    have changed about your story?
Daisy: Nothing, since it’s the real story. Although I’ve never
been happy with my name, and that I’m not very tall, Dhruv can tuck me under his
arm. Although things are a little different now since we really got together, but
I can’t tell you that. It would be a spoiler.
Dhruv: That’s so sexy Daisy, that I can pick you up and cuddle
you into my body. You’re beautiful the way you are.
As for me changing the story, more sex, although there’s loads,
I’m addicted to Daisy now and I find it hard to keep my hands off her. I might have
said a little more about our lives after we got together, but that might be better
    in another book.
    Dhruv, tell us something
about Daisy, how would you describe her in a few words?
Dhruv: She’s very pretty, slender, intelligent. I think she’s
kind and generous, and she treats people really well. She’s brave too. She likes
the countryside and water. Starts to laugh and hugs Daisy.
    Daisy, describe Dhruv
    in a few words.
Very sexy, giving, clever, thoughtful, a great lover, knows what
he wants or needs to do and goes for it. He’s very creative, and talented artistically.
    So what’s hot about the
    story?
Dhruv: The steam rises from the love scenes. I think the way
    Daisy responds to me.
Daisy: I think it’s the way you talk dirty to me.
    Dhruv: Do I?

    The Last Time

Romance Lives Forever welcomes Elodie Parkes to the blog for the release of her new book, The Last Time.

Thank you for inviting me to the blog for the release of The Last Time, my latest contemporary, erotic romance. Available May 1, 2013, from Eternal Press
Just a little about me to let your readers know who I am.
I live in rural England, United Kingdom and I work in an antiques shop as well as writing. I have two dogs that keep me fit with their need for walks. Love the countryside and the coast.
I write romance, contemporary, and erotic with a twist of mystery, suspense, or the paranormal, now and then. I like to make the story unusual in some way, by a quirk in the tale.
I started writing when I was seventeen. Life intervened in my writing time and I stopped serious writing for some time. I started writing again seriously a couple of years ago, because I had so many stories in my head.

    The Last Time

Actor Seth Carbery swears he will never fall in love again, that is until he meets private detective Bethany Snow.
Something strange is going on. Seth and other members of the movie cast and crew are receiving threatening letters, but no threat has ever been carried out… yet. Bethany Snow is sent on location by the Black Agency to investigate, and guard Seth Carbery against danger.
The case is not what it first seems and even when Bethany thinks it could be over, a new twist means she becomes a target.
Seth and Bethany find they can’t keep their hands off each other.
Who is sending the letters and why? Does Seth have a secret admirer or stalker?
With steamy romance, graphic love scenes, and a quirky story of what people do for love this erotic romance is for adults only.
