    Top Chatters for the Month

Because the person who gets the most comments in a month is not always the
person who gets the most page views per month, I instituted the Top Chatter Award.
This is the award for the person who receives the most comments. To win, a guest
must have five or more comments (not counting the guest author’s). There can be
    up to three winners.
    This month’s winner’s are:

2 Hannah Meredith, Jacquie Biggar (tie)
    3 NJ Walters

Married for His Convenience a new #HarlequinHistorical by @ewebsterauthor #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Eleanor Webster loves high-heels and sun, which is ironic as she lives in northern Canada, the land of snowhills and unflattering footwear. Various crafting experiences, including a nasty glue-gun episode, have proven that her creative soul is best expressed through the written word.
Eleanor is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in psychology and holds an undergraduate degree in history and creative writing. She loves to use her writing to explore her fascination with the past.

    Interview with Eleanor Webster

Why did you write this book?
I write because I have stories to tell and I’m too old to play with dolls. I write romance because it provides me with the opportunity to escape the day job and the stresses of everyday life. I hope also that my books bring moments of levity, joy, escape and romance to my readers. In particular, I love writing dialogue and integrating moments of sly wit and intelligent conversation. My characters voice those wonderful witty and insightful things that I come to my mind with at 2 a.m. and which I wish I’d said 12 hours earlier.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Good question and it largely depends on the season. I work as a school psychologist and find that during term time I seek levity, moments of escape and a genre that is not too cognitively taxing as I seem to have the attention span of a hyperactive gnat. I love the romance of all my wonderful fellow authors at Harlequin historical.  I also adore John Mortimer’s Rumpole of the Bailey.  It speaks to basic human values in a wry, intelligent and humorous manner. It is both entertaining and thought provoking. During the summer months, I can usually manage something intellectually challenging. This summer my favorite was  All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
This is absolutely such a tough question! I will say Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery. I choose Anne because, as a shy, only child, brought up by older parents my childhood involved fewer friends than perhaps was typical. Anne, with her vivid imagination, provided comfort, companionship and modeled a way of seeing the world’s beauty. Who can resist a character who can transform Barry’s pond into “the Lake of Shining Waters”?
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I am thrilled to announce the release of my second novel,  Married for His Convenience. It is a December, Harlequin Historical release and is a story about two individuals driven by loss. Sarah is searching for her half-sister while Sebastian is looking for his son. It is set against the backdrop of the French Revolution.
I am already working on my third book, also set during regency times and a contemporary located in the city of my birth, Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
Please tell us about your latest book.
Tainted by illegitimacy, plain Sarah Martin has no illusions of a grand marriage. So when the Earl of Langford makes her a proposal that will take her one step closer to finding her half sister, she can’t refuse!
Sebastian’s dreams of romance died with his late wife’s affair, so now he needs a convenient wife to act as governess for his silent daughter. Yet Sarah continues to surprise and challenge him, and soon Sebastian can’t deny the joy his new bride could bring to his life—and into his bed!
