    Interview

What is the most important thing you do for your career now,
as compared to when you first started writing?
I used to treat my writing career as a solitary endeavor, but
now I’ve realized the importance and necessity of forming bonds with other writers.
Many of you have become friends, and certainly my best supporters in addition to
    readers J
If you could change something about your first book, what
    would it be?
Actually, I’m planning to make those changes very soon – edit,
cut, and improve the pacing of the story to re-release it.
If you could choose anyone to be your mentor who would it
    be?
Oprah Winfrey. Her touch is golden, and she sponsors success
    by removing barriers.
If you could give the younger version of yourself advice what
    would it be?
Less school, more travel, marry a man who adds positive energy
to your life, do whatever it takes to stay healthy, and don’t ever return to your
    hometown for more than visits.
How do you cope with stress as an author?
Keep a writing and blogging schedule, calendar and to-do list,
and don’t procrastinate. Try to minimize online time to one or two hours a day on
    average.
Do things your family or friends do ever end up in a book?
Never as a composite. I like to mix and match the pieces. LOL
What are some jobs you’ve done before (or while) you were
    a writer?
Piano & Voice instructor, band director, choir director,
mental health therapist, substance abuse counselor, senior high school counselor,
college/career counselor, minister of music, algebra & statistics tutor, educational
    consultant.
    What message do you want
people to take from your books?
That all life is sacred and valuable, and love truly is worth
    risking everything for.
What good book have you read recently?
I’ve read so many, but one that really stands out is “The Mark
    of Cain” by A.D. Seeley
What do you like to do when you’re bored?
I’m never bored because there’s always a good book to read or
write. I can’t get to them all fast enough! LOL
Please underline which statement is more like you:
“I am a vacation spa because I am laid back and relaxed.”
    “I am a ten-countries in ten-days tour vacation, because
I do things as fast as possible.”

    Please complete the sentences

I love pizza with roasted veggies and chicken.
I’m always ready for a great book.
When I’m alone, I take a long shower and pamper myself.
You’d never be able to tell, but I have a terrible temper.
If I had a halo it would be golden
    and full of irridescent light.
If I could write without stopping to take care of other things
I’d have 12 published books by now.
I can never seem to get my stories written fast enough
because life keeps slowing me down.
