Jolt Somber by Christine Myers @crisanne1 #RLFblog #Scifi #RomanceChristine Myers, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

Jolt Somber by Christine Myers

Genre Science Fiction Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Jolt Somber was the name the cyborg picked for himself. He was created to be a killer and his creators reinforced his killer instinct by flooding him with feel-good endorphins. For eighty years he fought the Mesaarkans at Vyken Dark’s side. He and four genetic cyborg brothers returned to Earth to help restore civilization after the war had ended.
Jolt is supervising demolition in the ruins of Farringay to build a new starport. The war left Earth in ruins with cities ruled by overlords with gangs of thugs as enforcers. Violence against women is rampant.

When Jolt finds his one genetic female mate used and left for dead by gangers, the pleasure he takes in avenging her could have unexpected repercussions.
After what males had done to her, would she ever accept Jolt as her mate?
Author’s Note: While rape is discussed in the aftermath, the story begins after it has occurred.

Why did you write this book?
I fell in love with cyborgs after I read Cynthia Sax’s Cyborg Sizzle series. Then I started reading other steamy cyborg romance series. I picked up a lot of cyborg lore in all the different stories I read. It was time to write something new, and I had created this post-apocalyptic Earth for my Aledan Series. A plot for a prequel cyborg series began to form and Vyken Dark was born. Jolt Somber is the second in the series and there will be at least one more.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Science Fiction Romance
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
It’s really hard to pick just one. Generally, it is one that I am currently reading. This week it was. This week it was Balthazar in Marie Dry’s Dawn of the Cyborg. Generally, I have favorite series. I generally favor the cyborgs.
What are you working on at the moment?
I am in the planning stage of the next Cyborg awakening story centered on a character introduced in Jolt Somber.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
My upcoming project are all in Science Fiction Romance with a dash of space opera and steamy love scenes. There will be cyborgs among others.

Calan: The Psion Factor Son by Christine Myers @crisanne1 #RLFblog #SciFi #RomanceChristine Myers, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

Calan: The Psion Factor Son

Genre Science Fiction Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings):
Ajha Lann, a dawning psion grew up under the wing of an older girl. Together they scrounged for food and avoided capture by the gangers in the ruins of Farringay. Left on her own when Mikki is captured by gangers, the voices in her head seemed to get louder but one presence is stronger than the others. It gives her hope of something better for her future.
Calan Narcaza’s mother, the former Michelle Marlow was born in the ruins Farringay outside the Starport Compound. Little had changed since his father went to Earth to find Chelle and claim her as his mate. Calan knows the dangers of after the alien war that devastated Earth, but he has felt Ajha Lann reaching out to him from several years. He knew that for her to reach him over such interstellar distance could only mean that she was his psion mate.
His brother Jamerin brings Calan to Earth in his starship, though he is skeptical about leaving his baby brother on his own. Then they find a cyborg in stasis at the industrial complex that Calan bought to give refuge to the people struggling to survive in the city ruins. They wake him.
Calan and cyborg Rax Ven become allies building the Refuge together and facing off with the Overlords and gangers in a final showdown.
Why did you write this book?
Calan, is the next book in the Aledan Series which follows the Narcaza family from the meeting of his parents and their lives together through their having children. Book Five was about their first two children and this one is about their youngest. While the books are related, there is enough information in each one about what happened before so that they can be read as standalones. The series is part romance, part family saga, and part space opera with paranormal elements.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Science Fiction Romance
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Viktor Mandrake and actually all the heroes Mandrake Company Series
What are you working on at the moment?
I am currently working on another book in my Cyborg Awakenings series.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
I expect to write more spicy science fiction romance in the universes that I’ve created for the Aledan Series and the Cyborg Awakenings series.

Genre Science Fiction Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Cyborg Vyken Dark is back on Earth after fighting for eighty years in the Procyon War against the Mesaarkans. He came to help restore order out of chaos in old Chicago USA. Every major city on Earth is in ruins. Most are now run by gangs of thugs ruled by overlords who take everything of value and prey on those who are just trying to survive. Vyken and his four brother cyborgs are all that’s left of their starship crew of three hundred.
He didn’t want the job, but when his old mentor Admiral Carson Gregor asked, Vyken Dark could not refuse. If he could have chosen a man to call father, it would have been Carson Gregor.
Vyken chose the name Dark because the darkness in his soul drove him to kill the enemies of the Federation with a ruthlessness that few natural humans possessed. Sometimes that darkness overwhelmed his humanity and made him weary of his life… Until he came back to Earth and found her.
