What is your go-to meal when you dine out?
I have a few go-tos, but my favorite meal that is actually also healthy would be Thai food, more specifically, Ginger stir-fry with chicken.
Who is your “book boyfriend” (that hottie you read about and drool over)?
I’ve really enjoyed fantasizing about Jame Frasier, but I think I drooled relentlessly over Tobias in the Divergent series, such a troubled, strong, yet caring individual. Seeing his character played by Theo James did not help matters at all.
What are your hobbies?
My hobbies include enjoying time with my dog at the dog park or walking the neighborhood, reading, writing, yoga, some volunteer work, and watching movies, whether on Netflix or in a theater.
When you read for pleasure, what kind of books do you choose?
I go through phases. I read a little bit of everything, though I love Science fiction. I read the five book trilogy of A Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe, made my way through the first few Outlander books, and I will grab whatever new Stephen book looks interesting, recently, his book 11-22-63, which was amazing! Sometimes I’ll go for the recommended books on my Kindle, and have found wonderful books there that none of my friends have ever heard of. Gerald Hansen’s Irish Lottery series is one example, which is very irreverently humorous. The Kiterunner was another, more serious read. My tastes do vary.
If the hero of your latest book called you on the phone, what would be a perfect ringtone for him?
Since my latest book involves time travel, the ringtone for Milt, the sexy, sweet, yet awkward scientist, would be the theme song to the movie “Weird Science.” It’s also a good old 80’s song.Where to buy Made for Me

Describe the perfect vacation.
We’re on a beach in the northeast where it’s hot in the day and cools off at night. During the lazy day it’s low tide and we sit in low beach chairs on the edge of the ocean wearing just hats, bathing suits and sunglasses. We read and walk. At the end of the day, we climb to the top of the dune and catch the colors of sunset while sipping a cold one and enjoying fresh seafood. We come back out at night and find a place with live music and dance.
Tell us about your favorite toy as a child.
Petie is a small stuffed bear I received as a gift from a little girl my age who lived a couple of doors down from us. She gave him to me before she moved away.
What are your hobbies?
I like to refinish and paint furniture. I find-small tables, chairs, bureaus, mirrors, chests. It’s a great relaxer and I get some great story ideas while I work.
When you read for pleasure, what kind of books do you choose?
I like history (nonfiction), biographies, contemporary romance, fantasy a la Game of Thrones as well as spicy contemporary romance with elements of suspense.

Why did you write this book?
I thought it would be fun to write a hero who doesn’t fit the romance novel ideal of big, take-charge and brooding. Gary is small, cute, and smiles all the time…just like the father I grew up with.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Contemporary romance and romantic suspense. I also love a well-done paranormal.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Eve Dallas of the ‘In Death’ series. Without a doubt.
What are you working on at the moment?
I just finished ‘Ruby’, a Smoky Blues novella reuniting Lexi Barstow and Senator Collins Wentworth. They are my first foray into a love story involving characters with Medicare cards in their wallets.

But Trixie packs a lot of woman in a small package. And Xavier’s about to learn sometimes the old adage is true—the bigger you are, the harder you fall.
Why did you write this book?
There were two characters with cameos in the first two books of The Dante’s Purgatory Series, who became so intriguing to me, that I just had to write their story next. Trixie is a tiny woman with a larger-than-life personality. She has a hysterical sense of humour and is—as she described herself in the book—”approximately three quarters crazy, about seventy-five percent of the time.” I knew matching her up with the big, scary, silent and brooding, Xavier, would lead to extremely interesting things.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Romance. All sorts of romance, eg erotic, paranormal, historical and romantic suspense. An unashamed, incurable romantic—that’s me.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
That’s such a hard question to answer. There are so many characters I’ve admired/fallen in love with over the years. Hmmm…I think I’ll go with one who’s fresh in my mind because I’ve read the book recently. And that is Malkom Slaine from Demon From The Dark by Kresley Cole. He’s a vampire. He’s a demon. He’s the scariest “vemon” around. And he has a heart of gold. LOVE!!
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m working on the second book in my upcoming paranormal (vampire) romance series.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
The first book in my paranormal series will be released in the next couple of months. It’s a hilarious look at the lives of a blood bank scientist and her newbie vampire boyfriend who has serious control issues. If someone told a young Sayara St Clair that one day she would be an erotic/paranormal-romance-writing Aussie expat living in Thailand, she would have snort-laughed and yelled, “You. Be. Crazy!”
If someone told her the same thing now, she would not yell, only nod solemnly. Because that actually happened.
Sayara has a science degree, with majors in both microbiology and biochemistry. Working in the fields of serology and tissue banking, she got to do lots of cool and sometimes slightly weird stuff. She was employed as the manager/buyer for furniture retail stores, where she had a chance to unleash her inner interior decorator. (Interior design is one of her great passions.) And for a time, she taught English to students in Asia. (Hanging about in a roomful of extremely loud, pint-sized humans is not one of her great passions.) She has written: ads for TV, print and radio; real estate brochures; website copy; and a screenplay. Now she’s writing fiction and has discovered it’s her favorite thing to do. She’s also learned that writing sultry romances is so much more fun than writing dry old scientific journal articles. No one has sex in scientific journal articles. Not the ones she wrote anyway.
When not writing, she may be most commonly found in a horizontal position reading, in the kitchen baking, in the garden planting, or somewhere else singing at the top of her lungs. She loves music and is prone to spontaneous bouts of dancing.
With regards to vampires and chocolate: she bites one on a daily basis and has had a lifelong obsession with the other. And she’s not telling which one’s which.

Why did you write this book?
This is the book of my heart.
One day I broke all the rules and started writing in first person, multiple point-of-view, and the Hunter’s Watch Brigade came to life.
The first book, Initiation, tells the story of a snarky monster hunter heroine who goes up against all odds to rescue her family from monsters, find her One True Love (who turns out to be her best friend), and incorporates all the things I like to read. Fantasy. Romance. And suspense.
I picked on the Greek pantheon in this book. My main character Samantha is a half-ling daughter to Poseidon. He makes a couple of appearances in this story, and I LOVED writing him. I’m an Aquarius girl who was born in the site of water, so it felt normal as anything including him in the story. Just wait until you visit his castle under the sea with Sam and Max.
I also explored what it means to fall in love with your best friend. I love this romance trope, and Sam and Max have some pretty intense issues to solve along their romance road. I think readers will cheer for them. They’re a very dynamic couple who fought hard to find their love story. They even surprised me.
The climax is amazing, and I knew what the scene looked like as soon as I wrote the very first words. Seeing this book go to print is an achievement. I can’t wait to share it with everyone, and I hope you’ll tell a friend.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance.
I like books where justice does exist, magic is the norm, and a hot romance demands a happy ever after.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Sam from the Hunters’ Watch Brigade series of course.
She’s a half-ling daughter of Poseidon who joined up with her vampire handler, Shade Vermillion, and her cat-shifter best friend Max to police the universe for bad supernaturals. She shows exemplary spunk while she fights a mermaid, reconciles family issues with her sister Cyn, and works hard to rescue her mother from Francesca Rosencratz, a powerful witch with a vendetta.
Does Sam win in the end? We’ll let the readers decide.
What are you working on at the moment?
