Why did you write this book?
I was asked to write a book about characters who were devastated by divorce, but picked themselves up and rebuilt their lives. I decided to write a story about how women are empowered when working together, drawing on each other’s strengths and bolstering each other’s weaknesses. I firmly believe that for every problem there is a solution and even at your darkest hour, if you can’t see it, someone who knows you well can. Multiple minds = effective solutions. These four former law school classmates had unique marriages and vastly different break-ups, yet they are all deserving of justice. Justice that sometimes, the courts alone cannot deliver.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I love lawyer and detective fiction in the suspense genre, books like the Alex Cross series by James Patterson or J.D. Robb’s Dallas series. Obviously, I also enjoy romance, but I am starting to lean more toward paranormal stories—shifters, vampires, dragons. There’s just something about wolf shifters!
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Lt. Eve Dallas, a homicide detective in the future, who is married to one hot and very rich Irishman!
What are you working on at the moment?
The third book in the Feisty Lawyers Series, “Cult.”
What books will we see from you in coming months?
In addition to “Cult,” I am working on a new series about a lawyer who just happens to also be a vampire. Sometimes he uses his unique talents for good, other times, he uses them for his own selfish gains. He is a flawed man who has lived for hundreds of years, still searching for everlasting love.
