    Luke’s Redemption new #RomanticSuspense @AnniFifeAuthor #RLFblog

Luke’s Redemption is a new romantic suspense read by Anni Fife.
    About the Author
Anni Fife closed the door on a successful career in television, to fulfill her lifelong passion, writing. In the space of one month, she shut her business, packed up her city life, and moved to a small seaside village to begin her new life…as an author. Luke’s Redemption is Anni’s debut novel. She hopes you enjoy reading it as much as she loved writing it. Anni loves to spend hours walking on the beach searching for pansy shells, more hours drinking red wine with her gal posse, and the most hours writing steamy romance novels filled with hot alpha men and the sassy intelligent women they can’t live without. She is currently working on her second novel, Gray’s Promise.
Anni is published by The Wild Rose Press, and is a member of Romance Writers of America (RWA).
    Interview with Anni Fife
Why did you write this book?
I began writing Luke’s Redemption in June last year. It was one month after I left the city for the beach, and changed my life forever. It was also the first book I had ever written, or even attempted to write. I was able to stave off my panic because my basic plot came easy. The idea came flowing into my head a few nights before my departure. It was around midnight. I don’t know what triggered my creative juices, but suddenly I could hear Katya’s footsteps beating a desperate rhythm down a dark cobble-stoned road in the early hours of the morning. It was dead quiet. New Orleans was hung over from Mardi Gras. As I watched her, I realized I was looking through the scope of a sniper lens. Was I her hunter or her hero? Or both? My story unfurled at such a rapid pace I was terrified I’d fall asleep, and when I woke my idea, like an elusive dream, would be gone. In a mad spin, I spent the next hour typing manically on my iPhone. When I turned off the light, I had the beginnings of my novel. The next time I looked at it was one month later, when I sat down to write.
I wrote Luke’s Redemption for my own tastes. So if you like contemporary erotic romances with a lot of angst and some suspense; hot alpha heroes with damage; smart sassy heroines, also with some damage; and burning chemistry that drives lots of conflict, and even more heat—then why don’t you give this story a go?
What is your favorite genre to read?
I love mainstream fiction and thrillers, but my favorite leisure genre is Romance. I find that our world is an increasingly challenging place to live in, and we are surrounded by so many NOT happily ever afters. One of my favorite escapes is to soak in a bath or stretch out by the pool, and lose myself in a world of steamy romance, unpredictable  suspense, and a guaranteed HEA. This gets even better when it’s my job to choose the hot alpha male, the sassy intelligent gal, the break-ups, the make-ups…. you get the picture.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I’m sorry but I’m going to have to cheat on this question—because Luke Hunter is my favorite character. I think he will always be my favorite because he’s the alpha hero of my first novel. I created him in the image of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor character, so what is not to love? Besides his panty-melting looks, he is also a man who feels deeply and loves with an all-consuming intensity. The abuse and loss he suffered in his early years, shapes the man he has become. He has a singular focus which makes him a superior sniper in the military, and his protective instincts are through the roof. Luke is potently sexy, and has no problem using what nature blessed him with to his benefit. But when confronted with Katya’s pain and fear, we discover he has a depth of emotional intelligence that will bring you to tears. Well, it brings me to tears every time I read it!
What are you working on at the moment, and what will we see from you in the coming months?
I’m delighted to report that I’m nearly finished Gray’s Promise, book two in my King Security Series. (Luke’s Redemption is Book One.) It’s set in New York and Denton, Texas. Grayson Walker is Luke’s best friend, and he’s a deadly charmer. Zoey Morgan is his one-and-only. Torn apart by horrific tragedy, Gray and Zoey still carry the emotional scars fourteen years later. We follow their fraught reconciliation, and the unknown evil stalking them. Their journey is filled with pain, and a heart-wrenching beauty. And, of course, sexual chemistry so scorching it still gets me in a hot sweat when I think about it. I hope to release Gray’s Promise by June 2017.
Please tell us about your latest book.
Red-hot sex. Searing betrayal. A passionate and elusive love…
Chased by her criminal kingpin father, Katya Dalca runs to New Orleans and straight into the arms of Luke Hunter. Sucked into the carnal world of the French Quarter, she succumbs to Luke’s potent sexuality. He not only steals her breath, he steals her heart, and the only leverage she has against her father. She’s left with no choice but to pick up the pieces and rebuild her life alone.
Undercover DEA agent Luke Hunter thought his newest assignment—recover a stolen flash drive to gain the trust of the Russian mob—was like any other. But his target brings him to his knees, and after one taste of her intoxicating beauty, he’s in too deep. Doing his job means walking away, leaving his heart behind with nothing but a promise to reunite. It’s a promise he can’t keep.
When Katya’s past reaches out and her world unravels, her only hope is the one man she is most vulnerable to—Luke.

    Solitary Man a new #romanticsuspense by @dianebenefiel #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Diane Benefiel enjoys writing contemporary romantic suspense. A high school history teacher in her day job, she is always searching for pockets of time to write. Diane enjoys spending time with her husband and two mostly-grown children. They recently bought a trailer and have taken to the open highway to expand their ‘been there’ list. A huge fan of the national parks, last year she visited eight, including her current favorites, Capitol Reef and Mesa Verde.  Visit www.dianebenefiel.com to stay abreast of new happenings.

    Interview with Diane Benefiel

Why did you write this book?
I love the idea of a strong man who falls in love with his friend’s wife – that’s what got me started on Ryder’s journey. He has to protect Brenna, and still protect his heart. Ryder was the character in my head that wouldn’t let me rest until I wrote his story.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I write what I read – romantic suspense. This genre has so much potential for conflict and tension that it keeps me turning the page. I love experiencing characters who get swept into dangerous situations where they must rely on each other to survive – nothing amps up sexual tension better. Another favorite genre is westerns. When I was young, I read Louis L’Amour novels and watched John Wayne movies – I think this is where I developed a love for the wide-open spaces of the West. The image of the cowboy rancher appeals to me, though in the back of my mind is a story of a female rancher that I might write someday.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
In literature, my favorites are those characters who seek justice, like Atticus Finch and Reverend Casy. In romance fiction, a character who has stuck with me is Abigail Lowery in Nora Roberts’ The Witness. She is an amazing woman with incredible strength and resilience. She doesn’t need a man to protect her or make her whole, so when she does meet a man who challenges her comfort zone (Brooks is downright yummy), she is strong enough to meet that challenge.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
Speaking of westerns, I am currently finishing a romantic suspense set on a ranch in the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. The story begins with the heroine Addison arriving at the ranch of her nemesis Elijah MacElvoy after she witnesses a murder. Despite their history of dislike and distrust, Addy knows that the only place she will feel safe is with Elijah.

    ALONE…
After surviving a deadly Taliban attack on his unit, Sgt. Ryder Bronson returns home to fulfill a promise—to keep his dead friend’s wife safe from a scandal so dark that it threatens her life. But protecting her from a distance is essential. To be in close contact with Brenna McMurtrey means fighting the guilt and desire waiting to destroy him. Being honest with her would reveal more than his heart can bear.
    TOGETHER…
Over a year after the death of her husband, Brenna is finally ready to move on. Yet, just as she begins to push past the grief and start living again, danger rises at every turn. Several close calls prove she is the target of a sinister scheme. Nowhere is safe, especially not home. Her next-door neighbor appears to be watching her, a handsome if bad-tempered stranger who seems everywhere at once—and whose gray eyes hold an ocean of tragedy. Even if he is capable of protecting her, a part of Brenna will still be in jeopardy. The part that believes she can never love again.

    Marmalade’s First Christmas #contemporaryRomance @pmillhouse #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author and introduces the story.

    About the Author

I write books. Books where romance, fantasy, and suspense collide.
Born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, where Spanish moss whispers tales in breezes from the Atlantic Ocean, as a child, I soaked in the sunshine and heritage of cobblestones, pirate lore, and stories steeped in savory mysteries of the South. I graduated with honors from both Armstrong Atlantic State University, and Georgia Southern University.
I live in the mountains now with my husband, but honor my southern heritage as a storyteller by sharing my romance fiction with readers.
    What’s in it for you?
A reward. Treat yourself to an entertaining diversion from your daily routine by reading my stories. You’ll find themes like justice does exist, love is worth fighting for. Happily-ever-afters are expected.

    Interview with Paula Millhouse

Why did you write this book?
I wrote Marmalade’s First Christmas because I wanted to share my love for all things Christmas, woven into a contemporary romance. I like to think of the novella as sort of a Hallmark movie, with extra sugar and spice.
Also, a kitten adopted us last year at Christmas, an orange tabby. He’s brought so much love into our lives! I wanted to weave my sweet adorable kitten into a story. I think Marmalade steals the show.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I love paranormal fantasy romance, but I’m also getting into some contemporary romance now. I read broadly – historical, thrillers, and lots of non-fiction.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
    Just one…? Seriously, Kayelle – that’s a tough question!
Right now I’m in love with Mirren Kincaid from Susannah Sandlin’s Absolution in The Penton Legacy Series. What an amazing character!
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I’m writing a paranormal romance, the first in a series, where sexy agents in a supernatural police force find love while making the universe safe for humans.
I also have two romantic suspense novels out on submission with my agent. Fingers crossed, and do send positive cyberwishes my way that these stories find their perfect editor.
Please tell us about your latest book.
    Marmalade’s First Christmas
When billionaire Jake Simons rescues a kitten the week before Christmas, the orange tabby leads Jake to the greatest gift of the season – Veterinarian Marley West.
The last thing Marley needs is a client meddling in her personal business, but Old Man Winter, Mother Nature, and Jake’s pregnant mares have other plans for her holiday. When she gets snowed in with Jake during the worst blizzard in racehorse country, sparks fly.
But will Jake be strong enough to let go of ghosts from his past? And, in this friends-to-lovers story, will Marley learn to trust that Jake just might be her very own Christmas miracle?

    Luxury Model Wife #contemporaryromance @Adele_Downs #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Adele Downs is the best-selling, award-winning author of more than 20 romance titles, including those written under another pen name, and a former journalist with hundreds of articles to her credit. When not writing in her home office in rural Pennsylvania, she can be found reading a book on the nearest beach, taking photographs, or riding in her convertible.

    Interview with Adele Downs

Why did you write this book?
Luxury Model Wife reflects bits of pieces of who I am, though that wasn’t my intention when I started the book. The story personifies my love of contemporary romance and has elements of mystery and suspense, which I also love to read. For fifteen years before I became an author, I owned an antiques business and operated a retail store and website. Before that, I put myself through college by selling collectibles at flea markets on weekend mornings, and by waitressing at night. That experience gave me a strong understanding of the both my hero and heroine’s goals, story conflict and motivation, and painted a clear mental picture of the setting at Carlson’s Antique Emporium in the distinguished town of West Chester, Pennsylvania. I hope readers find the unique storyline of Luxury Model Wife a refreshing change of pace.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I love to read contemporary romance, mysteries, and thrillers.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Only one choice? That’s so hard. My favorites run the gamut from Harry Potter to Outlander’s Jamie and Claire Fraser.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I have two completed novels ready to show my publisher and a short story that’s almost finished that I’ll probably indie publish. Another novel is partially outlined. I’m always working on new material.
Please tell us about your latest book.

Real love.
Antiques expert Steve Carlson knows the value of everything. Pain and betrayal? Those he gave away–and now they’re coming back. Lysistrata Cove a new #gayromance by @DenaWrites #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Captain Dena Hankins (denahankins.net) writes aboard her boat, preferably in a quiet anchorage. Previously a sex educator, she writes erotica and romances spanning the queer alphabet including three novels—Lysistrata Cove, Heart of the Liliko‘i, and Blue Water Dreams—with queer and trans leads.

    Interview with Dena Hankins

Why did you write this book?
Heart of the Liliko‘i was a heavy book for me—heavy to think through, research, and write. My guy, James, and I were having coffee one morning and he asked what I’d be writing next. My answer was “Something fun!”
Since we were at anchor in Somes Harbor—a gorgeous, protected spot in Maine’s Acadia National Park—it was natural to go with a sailing story. Pirates showed up soon after, and by the time the coffee pot was empty, the story was roughed out and I knew I’d enjoy writing it.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I love romance books, whether the leads are straight or queer, cisgender or trans. In my favorite romances, the characters find strengths they didn’t know they had or learn that they can do more together than they ever could apart.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Choosing between my fictional friends and lovers, parents and children, enemies and frenemies? What a struggle!
I’m going to go with one of the leads of the book I just finished: Kellen Ryan in Just Enough Light by AJ Quinn. She’s a bad-ass and still manages to open up to love.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
It’s about a bank robbery and the most unusual getaway you’ll ever read about! I’m trying to make Crime of Conscience an acknowledged genre.
Please tell us about your latest book.
Jack Azevedo captains his charter sailboat in the Caribbean. Life can’t get any better, especially once he discovers a mysterious uncharted island with a sugar-sand cove for his passengers to enjoy and an intriguing, if angry, inhabitant.
Superstar Eve La Sirena has an illicit plan to restore creative freedom to musicians worldwide…if she can keep an ocean between her public and her secrets. Jack’s arrival exposes her island retreat and jeopardizes years of work, but his sweet generosity whets her cruel appetites.
As a transmasculine gender explorer and BDSM bottom, Jack’s used to flouting convention, not the law. When Eve’s clandestine project draws three kinds of cops, everything he has is endangered. Will the maelstrom of emotion strip the civilized veneer from his piratical heart?

    Sweet Christmas Kisses 3 #sweetromance by @MilouKoenings others from @SweetRomanceRds #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Milou Koenings is an award-winning USA Today bestselling author who writes romance because, like chocolate, stories with happy endings bring joy to the world and so make it a better place.
She’s lived all over the world, working as a freelance travel and technology writer, but loves to stay home with her family more than anything.

    Interview with Milou Koenings

Why did you write this book?
This is a collaborative effort by 17 authors from Sweet Romance Reads. We banded together to create a boxed set of holiday novellas. It was a fun way to get into the Christmas spirit as early as possible.
My novella, The Kampala Peppermint Twist, is another installment in my Green Pines Romance series. It comes from growing up in Africa and is partly a reflection on how we create our own holiday spirit when we’re not surrounded by all the commercial reminders. But of course, bottom line, it’s a romance!
What is your favorite genre to read?
Romance and more romance, please. With an occasional spy thriller in there to shake things up. The older I get, the more I want a guaranteed happy ending when I pick up a book.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I’ve got so many favorites! But I just love Juliet Ashton, from the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. I reread that book every year (along with all the Harry Potters in a row). She’s strong, funny, bright, hopeful in the face of adversity; kind, with such a big heart — and hopelessly befuddled when it comes to her own romance.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I’m working on another Green Pines Romance, and developing another series.
Please tell us about your latest book.
Sweet Christmas Kisses 3 is a bundle of 17 wholesome holiday romances, all-new, stand-alone stories from New York Times, USA Today, national bestselling, and award-winning authors.
