    Pride and Fall new #suspense w/a hint of #romance @StaciTroilo #RLFblog

This quick interview with Staci Troilo includes info about
the author, and introduces the story, Pride and Fall.

    About Staci Troilo

Staci has always loved fiction, ever since her parents read
her fairy tales when she was a young girl. Today, her interests are much more
eclectic. She loves getting lost in sci-fi battles, fantasy realms, horror
worlds, suspenseful intrigues, and romantic entanglements.
As goes her reading, so goes her writing. She can’t pick a
single genre to focus on, so she doesn’t even try. She’s proud to say she’s a
    multi-genre author.
When she’s not reading or writing, she’s spending time with
family and friends, possibly cooking for them, or maybe enjoying an afternoon
in the pool. To learn more about her, visit http://stacitroilo.com.

    Interview with Staci Troilo

    Why did you write
    this book?
Pride and Fall is the culmination of a trilogy in the
Cathedral Lake series. I began the series because I found interesting medical
traits when doing some research online, and I had to turn those facts into a
story. I wrote Pride and Fall to bring the trilogy to a close. But because this
series has become a fan-favorite, I have several spinoffs planned.
    What is your favorite
    genre to read?
As my bio states, I’m a fan of several genres. But my
absolute favorite is probably romantic suspense, because it combines love stories
(which I’m a sucker for) with tension-infused situations (I love
    pulse-pounding, anticipatory storylines).
    Who is your favorite
character from fiction (not including your own)?
Rhett Butler. I have a weakness for tall, dark, and handsome
bad boys. I also like that he didn’t see the heroine as perfect and ultimately
left her in the end when he tired of her games. Too many heroes put the
heroines on undeserving pedestals; Rhett isn’t one of them.
    What are you working
on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I’m currently working on book three of my paranormal romance
saga, the Medici Protectorate series. This novel, Body Armor, is scheduled for
release in June 2017, and its follow-up, Tortured Soul, will come out at the
end of the year, ending the series.
    Please tell us about
    your latest book.
Fear unchecked cripples. Fear conquered liberates.
Faith Keller has suffered much in her life—the murder of her
sister, the near-destruction and almost-ruin of her family, and a traumatic
abduction. It’s no wonder she battles the effects of PTSD on a daily basis. The
last thing she needs is to be the subject of an intense police investigation
for the very crime her father was blamed for years earlier. Yet, despite her
family’s staunchest efforts, she finds herself on the hot seat with a tenacious
officer—one whose attention she actually relishes.
Carter Emerson takes his job seriously. It’s the only
tribute he can make to honor his fallen brother, and he’s determined to do the
title “police officer” justice. When he sets his sights on Faith
Keller, he’s torn. His mentor tells him he’s got it all wrong, but the evidence
doesn’t lie. The worst part? He doesn’t want her to be guilty. He just wants her.
A story of healing and personal growth, Pride and Fall ends
the Keller Family trilogy with action, deception, and a revelation readers won’t
    see coming.

    Saving Hope by @lsfabre Russian #Thriller #Romance #RLFblog

Welcome Liese Sherwood-Fabre, author of Saving Hope, a
    thriller with romantic elements re-release.
    Why did you write
    this book?
This story’s inception involved two elements: a copy of
Richard Preston’s March 9, 1998 New Yorker article “Annals of Warfare: TheBioweaponeers,” and my work in Russia. Preston’s article was about the
country of Iran hiring unemployed scientists from the Soviet Union’s bioweapons
program. It made me speculate on why someone would go to work for another
country in this field. I came up with an unemployed scientist with a very sick
daughter who saw this job as the only way to get the care the daughter needed.
I didn’t work in the area of bioweapons or even with the military, but I did
work in the field of healthcare and was familiar with the state of the Russian
medical field following the fall of the Soviet Union.
    What is your favorite
    genre to read?
    Mystery/thriller—by far.
    Who is your favorite
character from fiction (not including your own)?
Oh, so many. Maybe Scarlet O’Hara because of her strong
character. No one was going to stop her from getting her way—not the Yankees,
the carpet-baggers, or even the war.
    What are you working
    on at the moment?
I just completed a sequel to a book I wrote on Sherlock
Holmes at 13 (he turns 14 at the end of the sequel). The first is with my
agent. I’m now considering my next project.
    What books will we see
    from you in coming months?
In addition to this re-release (the original publisher, Musa
Publishing, folded and so I’m bringing it out myself), I have a book of essays
on The Life and Times of Sherlock Holmes. It describes aspects of Victorian
England presented in the Sherlock Holmes stories.
I also have a short story in an anthology, Curious
Incidents: More Improbable Adventures. The collection shares stories of
Sherlock Holmes in alternate universes. In mine, the world is inhabited by
vampyres, and Holmes is called in to solve a very gruesome murder of one.
Please tell us about your latest book.

    About Saving Hope

    Genre Thriller with romantic elements
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG-13
NYT Bestseller Steve Berry described Saving Hope as “a
tantalizing premise that toys with the most basic of emotions—a parent’s drive
to save their child.” And Chanticleer Reviews gave it four stars. “This
reviewer’s heart was pounding as the final pages of this book flew under her
fingers at 2:30 in the morning.”
In one of Siberia’s formerly closed cities, Alexandra
Pavlova, an unemployed microbiologist, struggles to save her daughter’s life.
When she turns to Vladimir, her oldest friend, for help, she’s drawn into
Russia’s underworld. His business dealings with the Iranians come to the
attention of Sergei Borisov, an FSB (formerly the KGB) agent. Alexandra finds
herself joining forces with Sergei to stop the export of a deadly virus in a
race to save both her daughter and the world.

Happily Ever Alpha: Falling for the Billionaire #romance @VictoriaPinder et al. #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and
    introduces the story.

    About Victoria Pinder

USA Today Bestselling Author, Victoria Pinder grew up in
Irish Catholic Boston before moving to the Miami sun. She’s worked in
engineering, after passing many tests proving how easy Math came to her. Then
hating her life at the age of twenty four, she decided to go to law school.
Four years later, after passing the bar and practicing very little, she
realized that she hates the practice of law. She refused to one day turn 50 and
realize she had nothing but her career and hours at a desk. After realizing she
needed change, she became a high school teacher. Teaching is rewarding, but
    writing is a passion.
During all this time, she always wrote stories to entertain
herself or calm down. Her parents are practical minded people demanding a job,
and Victoria spent too many years living other people’s dreams, but when she
sat down to see what skill she had that matched what she enjoyed doing, writing
became so obvious. The middle school year book when someone wrote in it that
one day she’d be a writer made sense when she turned thirty.
She’s always been determined. She is amazing, adventurous
and assured on a regular basis. Her website is www.victoriapinder.com.
Member of Florida Romance Writers, Contemporary Romance,
    Celtic Hearts and Savvy Authors.

    Interview with Victoria Pinder

    Why did you write
    this book?
Well I wrote Secret Crush in 2016 as a gateway into a family
I always wanted to write about. Personally I loved soap operas and telenovelas
though I don’t speak or read Spanish (I can read fast and captions are fine.)
So when I started write contemporary romance, in my mind it was always supposed
to be family saga. With the House of Morgan I finally figured out how to do it
justice. Then I organized a boxed set as no one invited me into one and in 2016
I wanted to try doing a boxed set. So I went out and found people who know what
they are doing and set up a way to get 19 other authors together.
    What is your favorite
    genre to read?
Contemporary, historical or paranormal romance. I started in
romance with historical reading but then I moved into contemporary. When I want
to get away from analysis which is what writers start to do, I sneak into
historical as I don’t write it. (One day I might try my hand at a Duke, but not
    yet.)
    Who is your favorite character
from fiction (not including your own)?
Elizabeth Bennett. She was the most fleshed out woman I had
to read in high school. She wasn’t the prize or the goal or the complication.
She was what women are more like and I liked that about her.
    What are you working
on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I told you about the 2016 goal of a boxed set. After
starting my own I was invited into Sweet Christmas 3, Valentine’s Pets and
Kisses 2, Wedding, Pets and Kisses, Tropical Tyrst (so hotter), and Dark Fates.
I’m finishing up a novella for Wedding Pets and Kisses and editng Dark Fates. I’m
taking a short break from my Morgans but I’ll be back. I received the edits for
Secret Daddy yesterday and I can’t wait for Monday when I’ll work on that one!
    Please tell us about
    your latest book.

    In Your Arms #contemporary #romance by @SSchroeder_ #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About Shannyn Schroeder

Shannyn is the author of the O’Leary series, contemporary romances centered around a large Irish-American family in Chicago and the Hot and Nerdy series about 3 nerdy friends finding love. Her new For Your Love series (For Your Love) released last summer with the first title Under Your Skin. When she’s not wrangling her three kids or writing, she watches a ton of TV and loves to bake cookies.

    Interview with Shannyn Schroeder

Why did you write this book?
In Your Arms is the second in my For Your Love series. The series follows the O’Malley siblings as they fall in love. Sean was a lot of fun to write because he’s such an easygoing kind of guy. I was looking forward to writing about him from the first time I introduced him in another series (The O’Learys).
What is your favorite genre to read?
Contemporary romance. I know a lot of authors who don’t read in the genre they write, but not me. Give me all the good contemporary romances.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Roarke from JD Robb’s In Death series is probably my favorite hero of all time.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
The third book in the For Your Love series – Through Your Eyes – will release on May 28, 2017.
Right now, I’m drafting the last of the O’Malley books (For Your Love series). This will be Kevin’s story and it’s a second chance romance with the one who got away. It doesn’t have a title yet, but it will be out sometime in early 2018.
Please tell us about your latest book.
    A Knight in Shining Leather
Sean O’Malley has never tried to hide who he is. He shows it in the motorcycle thrumming between the legs of his tight jeans, the shaggy hair that falls in his gorgeous eyes, the wicked gleam in his smile when he asks Emma out for a drink. Sean is a rebel, a bad boy, and a ton of fun: exactly the kind of guy she’s sworn off forever.
Emma isn’t just the prim kindergarten teacher she appears to be. And somehow Sean can tell. As soon as he pulls up to her overheated car he knows that a fast bike and a cold beer will fix her rotten day better than compliments or a bubble bath. Her straitlaced exterior and her wild heart light him up. But Emma wants to escape her past and settle down—and if her desk jockey dates don’t understand where she comes from, at least she doesn’t worry about them bringing her back.
One weekend of intense connection can’t change the paths Sean and Emma have chosen. But with a little space to be themselves together, maybe the rest of the world can wait.

    Amazed by You a new #contemporary by @pawf1067 #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.
    About the Author
Ever since she wrote a play in fourth grade about the Loch Ness Monster–from the monster’s point of view, Patricia’s been fascinated with telling stories. This has proven helpful at family gatherings since she comes from a very long line of natural born story-tellers.
She’s been to the top of the world and seen the lowest moments when she worked as a pediatric and adult trauma nurse. Before her medical experience, she worked as a bartender, waitress, and prep cook. Add in her jobs as a bill collector, secretary, video store clerk, and checker at a hardware store and the characters for her stories are endless. She’s met movie celebrities, music legends, sports heroes, and fantastic writers. Been under the sea, floated in the sky, sang the National Anthem at major league sporting events, acted a bit, and played some good music on her drums and guitar. And during all that time, she tucked all those adventures and moments in her head to write about it all one day.

    Interview with Patricia Fischer

Why did you write this book? I wanted to give a voice to adoption, especially family adoptions and the chaos and joy that can come from it. That you can have a second chance at mistakes made as a teen, that the world doesn’t end.
And that sometimes the worst things that happen to you might be the beginnings of the most amazing things in your life.
What is your favorite genre to read? It truly depends on the day. I’m up to read just about anything, but for sure I love romance no matter what genre.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)? I love Douglas Montgomery from A Knight In Shining Armor. That book helped me realize when I was in that ugly relationship, I could leave and be okay. One of the best moments of my life was to get to tell Jude Devereux, the author, that the book helped me when I really needed it. I had it all planned out, what to say and when I stood in front of her, I began crying so hard I’m not sure if she understood me at all, but she smiled and nodded and hugged me.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
In January, I’ll have book 5 from the Tuscany Series called To Heal a Wounded Heart.
In February, I’ve got my second book of my Weighting series with Soulmate Publishing. It’s the follow up to the book I wrote a couple of years ago. It answers a lot of questions that I’m so glad I can finally discuss.
In April, I’ll have a new book for Tule Publication about First Responders and a bit of calendar posing. So spicy!
Please tell us about your latest book.
Responsible Joseph Davis just got dumped…at the altar. With his heart shattered, he decides the best way to heal is a one night stand and the cute brunette he just befriended will do just fine. Especially, when she offers him a deal he can’t refuse.
One night. Just sex. No names.
Against his good-guy nature, he agrees except something about her makes him realize, they’ve met before.
As a pregnant teen, Stephane Stratford stayed in the Pathways Foster Home and gave her daughter up for adoption. During her time there, she had a brief conversation with a young chestnut haired hunk with the cute dimples. He treated her with such kindness, she’s always compared every other suitor against him and all have failed miserably to measure up.
When she unexpectedly has to return to Tuscany to care for her now, teenage daughter, Stephanie wants one last fling before having to take on the permanent role of mother. This hot cowboy couldn’t be a better choice, but their rendez-vous ends too quickly and when they say their good-byes, Stephanie is confident she’ll never see him again…until she finds him standing in her sister’s kitchen.
Joseph can’t believe it. The beautiful brunette that’s given him more erotic dreams than he cares to admit, is related to a long-time friend.
As drawn as he is to her, does he take a chance in trying romance again?
With their attraction growing, Stephanie finally realizes that cute boy with dimples from long ago has grown to be one amazing looking man and the keeper of her biggest secret. Should she admit it all and face the fallout? Risk losing the only things she holds dear? Can Joseph work through his broken-heart and learn to trust again?
Things are about to get hotter in Tuscany.

    Breakwater a new #paranormalromance by @errinstevens #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.
    About the Author
Errin Stevens writes from her home in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she lives with her husband and son.
    Interview with Errin Stevens
Why did you write this book?
Breakwater is a sequel to my first book, Updrift, and I had more character stories to tell!
What is your favorite genre to read?
I’m an omnivore, truly – I read everything from trade romance to literary fiction. I even read a little (very little) nonfiction!
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice. She’s clever and forthright and has a beautiful energy.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I’m working on the third book in this series, Outrush. I hope (worry?) I’ll finish it in time to release late 2017.
Please tell us about your latest book.
The sirens of Griffins Bay are in trouble, and the recent slew of royal suicides looks to be the least of their worries.
For one, unless a blood relative of the queen shows up, no one’s around to staff the monarchy. Well, except for a whack-job bureaucrat and he seriously won’t do. Worse is the community unrest threatening siren society, a problem caused by too many humans in the pool, which means Simon and his off-limit girlfriend will have to run and hide if they want to make more of their flirtation…
The solution doesn’t inspire confidence at first, but the Blakes have everything at hand to set their world to rights – namely, a hidden queen, a dead prince, and a facility for human manipulation. Once they find their sea legs, they’ll restore order, distribute smartphones, and drive that conniving bureaucrat to a grisly, satisfying end.
