Top Blogger of 2018: Brenda Sparks

#Romance Lives Forever on #RLFblog Meet the top bloggers @NJWaltersauthor @Brenda_Sparks @VickiBatman As I looked at this list of names, I wondered if people would think I was only giving out this award to friends. That’s true, partially. Each has become a friend over the last year or has been for a long time. Hosting this site gives me a unique opportunity to get to know many authors. But the statistics speak for themselves. When I pulled year long stats from the backside of the blog, these were the names that floated to the top.

Brenda Sparks made the list as top blogger due to having the most page views throughout the entire year. She also promoted the blog itself. I was tickled when I looked at the stats and saw her name right at the top, because in my mind, she certainly deserved the appause. Please do visit her post and check out her book, Alpha Pair. Brenda wins a year of cover ads on RLF.

Top Blog Posts of 2018

Below are the titles and links to the top ten posts of the year. There are some interesting statistics I’d like to point out.

Of these, two were from the Cancer Awareness series (Vicki Batman and Iris Blobel). Four were paranormal romance. Four were historical. Two fantasy, and two were LGBT. If these don’t add up to ten it’s because some posts covered more than one genre. I invite you to click and visit each of these. They will be well worth your time.

Top Chatters for 2018

#Romance Lives Forever on #RLFblog Meet the top bloggers @NJWaltersauthor @Brenda_Sparks @VickiBatmanThe person who gets the most comments is not always the person who gets the most page views. For that reason, I instituted the Top Chatter Award. This award is for the bloggers who receive the most comments.
This year’s winner is Vicki Batman. This is not a surprise. Every time Vicki visits RLF she takes home either the top blogger or top chatter award and she was last year’s recipent of top blogger of the year.

#FreeBookFriday

Readers bookmark the blog and come back every day for good books. On Fridays, every book we offer is free. Look for the #FreeBookFriday hashtag on Twitter and Facebook.

Authors, do you offer subscribers a free book for signing up to your newsletter? Do you have a permafree book or a book on KindleUnlimited? Here’s your chance to reach new readers. Romance Lives Forever now offers a free book section. #FreeBookFriday will offer 5 books each week all year long. Each week, 4 spots will be free.

How do you take part? It’s easy. All you need to send is the cover, a blurb, and a link to get your book. When you sign up, your confirmation form will have a link to add your book info.

When someone clicks the link you provide, they’ll be taken directly to your site. You’ll have the double opt in that newsletter services require. No worrying about adding a list downloaded from another place. You’ll get subscribers directly. Easy peasy.

There’s a 5th paid spot for $5. It comes with a week-long cover ad spot on the front page (upper right corner). Your free book will also get a pinned spot on the RLF Facebook page, and a cover spot on the RLF #FreeBookFriday Pinterest board.
