Romano in the books, Her First Knight, and her new release, Merry Christmas,
Baby

About the Book

Title        Merry
Christmas, Baby (A Knights Christmas)(Book3)
Genre     Contemporary
Romance (Military)
Author    Livia Quinn
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG13
It’s a Christmas weekend full of love and Larue
social media is a twitter at the return of their hometown movie star, Ducane
Beauregard Larue, and a visit by Raptors quarterback, Gino Manelli, at the only
place to celebrate Christmas Eve—the Romanos’. Catch up with the characters
from Larue and Thunder Point, and as a bonus get a peek into the lives of
upcoming characters.
Beau hates Christmas. It reminds him of what he can’t have.
He’s been avoiding homecomings, and the biggest reason is unavoidable this
Christmas – Madison Hart, who has loved Beau for most of her adult life.
Whenever rumors surface about him returning home, Madison hyperventilates at
the prospect of seeing him again.
Samantha Larue’s baby is overdue and everyone is
hovering including Jed, who ended their relationship last summer because kids
weren’t “in his future”.
Bad guys don’t scare Delilah Burke but Luc’s mother and five
sisters have her stalling on setting a date to marry the man she loves.
This Christmas nothing could make Buffy Romano happier than
delivering a few surprises and helping the people she loves find love.
Then, a Christmas Eve miracle confirms what she already knows – that with a
little nudge, all her love ones’ happily ever afters will happen in the
not so distant future.

Introducing Ridge Romano

Name: Ridge Romano
Age: 33
Gender: Male
Birthplace: Virginia
Profession: Ex-military, Billionaire CEO, veterans advocate
and cover model
Ethnicity/Species (if not human): Caucasian, Italian
Describe his/her body build, skin tone, height and weight.
Include any unique features such as dimples, freckles, or scars: Ridge has shoulder
length black hair and dark eyes, perpetual tan, six-feet two. His rigid diet
keeps his body hard and ready for a photo shoot. His smile lights up the room,
but it doesn’t happen often enough.
Who is the
significant other in your character’s life?
Lana “Buffy” Calloway, famous
fashion model and photographer who saw Ridge as the face of her model/ad
agency. She has a couple surprises for him at their Christmas Eve party.
Tell us about this
character, please.
Ridge was a child prodigy, a genius inventor, who was given
his own laboratory in the Army to do his bionic research. After his brother
stepped on an IAD and lost his battle with depression, Ridge devoted his life
to improving the lives of veterans. He created two companies that provide state
of the art prostheses to veterans at no charge, then sold them to put together
a consortium of private companies which will take over the care of veterans
from the government, if he can get
the vote past Congress. Ending up on the strip bingo stage at a romance
convention could destroy everything he’s worked for. (Her First Knight)
How does your hero
dress?
Most of the time Ridge is in a dark well-cut suit and tie. He’s a
serious guy and doesn’t have time to relax (except for that time he showed up on
the strip bingo stage, and later in a loincloth…).
What is your
character’s viewpoint on wealth?
He is a generous man to whom much has been
given — wealth, intelligence, and means, and feels a duty to support
responsible people who match his vision, and those in need.
Does he have children?
Ridge never
planned to be married. He was laser focused on his vision for the consortium,
but now that he and Buffy have been married for two years, could be it’s time…
Is your character
involved in his community?
Yes, Ridge feels like all the experiences in his life led
him to this place, to Buffy. But community to Ridge means more than just Larue
and Buffy’s large family, though he’s come to love them all. It also includes veterans
and their families and a huge group of romance writers and readers who continue
to support his vision for our nation’s defenders.
How do others
perceive your character based upon looks, and is this assumption accurate?
This is a common theme in the Under-Cover Knights. Each man
is more than just a handsome face or six-pack abs. They see no reason why their
hard earned fitness shouldn’t be used to sell products, movies or novels, even
romance novels; and if it supports a higher cause, even better. (Besides
there’s the added perk of working with beautiful women.) They are men of character
with personal interests and the drive to contribute to their community, for Luc
it’s teens and for Ridge, veterans.
How emotionally
expressive is your character to others?
As you can imagine, as a child geek
who was totally into his tech toys, Ridge was more of an introvert. And though
he has loved his wife since before he even thought he had a chance with her,
he’s only recently even kissed her in public. I think he likes it.
BONUS:
Ridge, what would you
most like to communicate about the men at Knights Production, Inc.?
I’d just like to see these men, and women, get the credit
they deserve for their hard work as models and with their involvement in the
community. I was guilty of being short-sighted myself before I met Buffy. They
have my utmost admiration.

About Your Writer

Why did you decide to
allow this author to tell your story?
I met Livia while she was researching Luc and Delilah’s
book, Hard Days Knight. Back then, I was merely Luc’s boss but after she found
out the extent of veterans’ needs in this country, she got a vision for what
I’ve been trying to accomplish with the consortium. After grilling her on her
true motivation and making sure she could represent my agenda and tell the
story of how Buffy and I met miraculously,
without totally embarrassing me, I agreed.
Why do you think your
writer chose to write about you?
Livia said she was awed by the
overwhelming need of veterans and what I was trying to accomplish with the
consortium and wanted to get the word out. And, well…she said she was
especially taken with my impromptu strip-tease.
What do you wish your
writer had not told others about you?
<He rubs his dark jaw, thinking> The strip bingo
contest could have been much worse, but that’s not her fault. Livia didn’t
expose my faux pas; a nice lady in the audience snapped a picture with her
phone and it went viral. It was serendipity.
What other character
from your book do you think your writer should write a book about, and why?
Jed Stern, definitely. Being a cop and a fitness fanatic,
he’d be a great addition to our portfolio. So far he’s adamantly refused. Jed
acts like he’s so tough but if you could have seen him around Samantha for the
last six months… and during the Christmas party, he was a hero.
Why do you think your
writer loves to write?
I don’t think she has any choice. I found her while she was
driving on the Interstate, but she says characters are always following her to
the tub or on the road, begging to have their stories told. For a while she
thought she was crazy but now she just accepts it as a calling.
