My name is Zoe Sinclair and I live in Melbourne Australia. I grew up in a small town hours from here. My parents died when I was younger and now I’m all alone. The moment I graduated high school I left town and didn’t look back. I couldn’t. But leaving also meant I left my shattered heart in the hands of the boy I’d always loved, Spencer. I’ve lied to everyone. Any excuse to avoid going back there and facing what I know is waiting for me is just too hard. So I lie. Until now. This time I decided to go back and face the music. I don’t know why, but it just felt like it was time.What inner doubt causes you the most difficulty?My biggest inner doubt is that I’m worth it. I don’t think I’m worthy of someone like Spencer’s faith in my and his unwavering love. I’m damaged. I’m broken. The shell of woman. I find it incredibly hard to believe I deserve good things after going through so much.Tell us about your significant other, that person who makes living worthwhile.Spencer McLaren is everything. I’ve known him my whole life. I married him when I was four and he gave me a daisy chain necklace. He is the most frustrating, annoying, compassionate guy in the world. He does have a bit of a hero complex, but because of the way his ass looks in those jeans he wears everywhere, you tend to forgive him for that one. At 17 I knew he was it for me. No other guy could or ever would measure up to him. I looked, I really did, but no one was anywhere near as perfect for me as Spencer.What would that person say about you?Spencer would probably say I’m the most frustratingly stubborn pain in the ass woman he’s ever me. He loves me anyway though sometimes he forgets J He’d call me Pippi and tug on my hair, like he used to when he was five. He’d bitch and moan about my lack of care when it comes to looking after myself and he’d tell you that sometimes I’m moody and he has no idea why. But he’d tell you I was his best friend in the world and he always knew, despite everything else, we’d figure it out one day.What is your family like?I don’t have a family. I was an only child and my parents both died when I was way too young to say goodbye to them. Spencer’s mother Jenna became the closest thing I had to family. She loved me like I was her own. She’s my family now.Why are you happy (or not happy) with the way your story ended?I am absolutely devastated with how my story ended. I think the author actually hates me and did it to torture me. Although she promises all will be made up for before the series ends.About the Writer
Rebecca, one of four kids to her parents who are both primary school teachers, was born in Wollongong on the south coast of Australia before moving to the country with her family. After a few years of embracing all that country life had to offer, the family relocated to Port Macquarie with its white sand beaches. After a brief period enjoying the sun and the surf they finally settled in Canberra where Rebecca still lives today. But all through her childhood a notepad and a book where never far away. These days Rebecca is an avid reader, and when she isn’t buried in a book or cheering on her beloved football team she’s spending time with her husband Robert and their overly spoilt dog Levi.What was your biggest challenge in writing this book?Letting Spencer and Zoe go. This was so hard in fact I didn’t really let them go off into the sunset in peace. Instead I wrote book 2 and 3 just so I didn’t have to say goodbye just yet.When writing the book, what did you discover about this character that surprised you?When I wrote Coming Home I was shocked by how completely emotionally draining this one was. It tore my heart to shreds and made me have more than one ugly cry moment. Even though I was the one who’d done it, I couldn’t stop it. The characters ran away with the story and I was merely a passenger.Are any sequels planned for this book?Absolutely! Book 2 and 3 are already written and will be released in 2017.Why should readers who haven’t picked up one of your books before give this one a try?It’s full of real emotion. Good, bad and devastating. It’s not your typical friends to lovers type book, its real.Is there anything you’d like to say to your readers?I sincerely, from the bottom of my heart apologize for the ending. My sister is still made about that 18 months after reading it for the first time. I promise, if you stick with the series I will redeem myself.About the Book
