Connor in the Nevada Cowboys Series

Genre Contemporary Romance/Rom Com

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

Vegas Nightly publisher Connor Reeves is close to meeting a big-time career goal: making his magazine a state-wide must-read. The only problem? His biggest competition, a larger publisher based in Colorado seems to know his every move. Miranda Clayton is tired of society parties and shopping, but her tycoon father refuses to take her seriously. Her solution? Beat him at his own game by going to work for his top competitor, Connor Reeves. Connor isn’t fooled by Miranda’s act for a second. He knows exactly who she is; the question is what does the lady want?

Which book is this in the series?

Connor is the second book in this series. Gage was first, and Jase is coming up next!

How many books do you plan for the series?

There are three books in the series – 3 brothers, 3 feisty heroines, 3 really fun books!

How many books are completed?

I’m finishing up edits on the third book … so I’ll say 2.75. lol

What characters are the main stars in your series?

The brothers are the main characters, but I consider Las Vegas another character. How could Vegas *not* be a character? I love the city and I tried to infuse the books with a lot of local color from food trucks to the casinos, the neon and even the desert.

What is the overall theme in this series?

The theme for the series is that you have to let go of the past. All three brothers are, in their own way, holding on to past hurts. All three of them are somewhat stuck – they don’t see it; they think they’re just fine. I think a lot of us can get stuck because of our pasts, but when we let go we have the ability to change our circumstances. Connor, Jase, and Gage have a strong bond, they have all the money in the world, but they’re all a little bit closed off until Miranda, Sabrina, and Callie come into their lives.

Please list the series titles below, in any order you prefer.

The Nevada Cowboys are Gage, Connor, and Jase in numerical order.

What did you like best about writing this series?

I liked taking a virtual trip back to Las Vegas – one of my favorite places in the world. I liked exploring the bond between the brothers, and I liked tearing down their beliefs about themselves so that they were open to love again.

What other books (not in this series, have you written?)

I’ve written 20 books, for a variety of publishers. Each has been an adventure – the life of a writer can be really hard! – but they’ve each taught me something. I tend to write in series, so there are my Texas Girls books, the Slippery Rock series (written for Harlequin’s Superromance line), the Anthem Trilogy (a novella series) and several stand-alone titles including Moonlight Match, Lost on Anna Maria Island and Protecting the Quarterback.
