Prescription For Love in The Reyes Family Romances series

Genre Contemporary Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings) R

Enrique, the oldest of the Reyes sons, was named after his father’s father, creating a special bond between them. While in medical school, Enrique accompanied abuelo back to his hometown in Mexico. Now Enrique is the doctor there, enjoying his practice and his adopted town. The only thing he is missing is a wife. Enrique wants an equal: a strong, independent woman whom he can woo into sharing her life with him. When Tanora Doyle, a bi-racial research biologist arrives in town, he is intrigued. But will the baggage she carries keep them apart? Or can Enrique cure whatever ails her, and solve his problem as well?

Which book is this in the series?

This book is number 4 in the series. I was hoping to get readers interested in the rest of the book when I published this one as a free read, 10 years ago. It’s published by Smashwords, but available on many other sites–just not on Amazon.

How many books do you plan for the series?

Right now there are 6 books, but I have a couple unfinished in my laptop, so who knows how many more will appear?

How many books are completed?

There are 6 books published–this one is a free download, but the rest are available only on Amazon (my publisher’s choice.)

What characters are the main stars in your series?

In the first two books, the focus was on the romances of 2 divorced female friends of Juanita and Edgar Reyes, one of whom marries his brother. In the third book, the 9 Reyes children are grown up, and their romances take center stage. Enrique is the oldest son. The oldest daughter Rosa, who was the teen-aged baby sitter in the first two books, is the focus of the 3rd book, and she makes an appearance in the 4th book. All of the Reyes family members and friends weave in and out of most of the books. Reading them becomes a chance to visit with old friends.

What is the overall theme in this series?

That a large, loving family is an excellent place to grow up. And that finding romance can be fraught with problems, but there is someone for everyone to love–when they’re ready. Some fall in love at a young age, while for some, it takes a lot longer.

Please list the series titles below, in any order you prefer.

1-Never Too Old For the Game of Love

2-Recipe For Love

3-Love By Design

4-Prescription For Love

5-Analysis of Love

6-Love Therapy

What did you like best about writing this series?

My mother’s parents both came here from Poland back at the last turn of the century. Mom was 8th of 10 kids. I loved visiting with her huge, loving family, and I had 22 cousins. I made the family in this series Hispanic because they are the newest group of immigrants who are integrating into U.S. culture. And most of the romances are inter-racial because that’s the way I want the world to be–when you can fall in love with the person, regardless of their color or their nationality. And your family will welcome your choice into the clan.

What other books (not in this series, have you written?)

The Minnesota Romances–4 books

Female Secret Agents–2 books

One vampire saga

Werewolf series–2 books

One stand-alone book was just published, and another is under contract.

Where can we find links for all your books?

On my website: www.fionamcgier.com, there are pages for each of my books, along with the universal links to find them all. This is my only series of books on the Kindle Unlimited program. But this particular book is a free download–just not on Amazon..

I sub in high schools during the school year. Otherwise I’m writing and blogging about my books–and reading. Not only do I write erotic romance, I love to read it too.

I often read while camping with my long-time HEA. Our four adult kids sometimes join us. Shinrin-yoku is forest bathing in Japanese, and as long as there’s no snow on the ground, that’s where I’ll be and what I’ll be doing–as often as possible.
I also enjoy sewing–mostly masks these days– crocheting afghans to keep my loved ones warm, and baking–cookies, muffins, and especially pies. I’m known for my never-fail pie crust, so I put the recipe on my website under the pies tab, along with some of my family’s favorites, that I featured in one of my books that had a heroine who baked lots of pies.
