Christmas or Holiday

Lord Misrule a new #Regency by @BookEmDonna #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

About the Author

I have worked as an attorney, winery tasting room manager, and retail business owner, but nothing beats the thrill of writing humorously-ever-after romances.
I reside in New England, although I fantasize about spending the rest of my days in a tropical locale, wearing flip flops year-round, or in Regency London, scandalizing the ton.

Interview with Donna Cummings

Why did you write this book?
I was invited to be part of an anthology of Regency Christmas stories. I write Regencies, and had always wanted to write a Christmas story, so this was the perfect opportunity. I did some research on holiday traditions in that era and next thing I knew, I had a story brewing in my head with a widow who wants to have her very first love affair, and a hero who can’t seem to banish his regrets from a past Christmas season.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I write Regencies and contemporaries, so I tend to stay away from those while I’m writing. Which means I usually read romantic suspense, because it’s not something I’ll probably ever write. I wish I could though!
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I’m a devoted fan of Sam Starrett from Suzanne Brockmann’s Troubleshooter series. He’s heroic, but with flaws that make you want to give him a cuddle or a smack, depending on how he responds to certain situations. I never get tired of reading (and re-reading) his stories.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I’m working on a few things – another seasonal Regency story, and another humorous contemporary, and there’s a long list of stories waiting their turn when these are done! I even got a new idea for a Regency series while sitting in stalled traffic the other day. I think 2017 is going to be a book-filled year.

Six of today’s most popular regency romance authors come together to deliver a holiday anthology full of passion, promise, and scandalous dalliance. Have Yourself A Very Wicked Christmas!
In Heather Boyd’s The Christmas Affair, a lonely shopkeeper offers shelter to a beautiful, not so innocent miss to overcome the bitter memories of Christmases past, but could such a wicked connection ever lead to a happily-ever-after? A dashing spy with marriage on his mind seeks to rekindle the spark by any means possible with the woman who claimed his heart in Love at First Dance by Barbara Monajem. A scandalous widow rescues the man of her dreams – but his secrets could destroy their love in Nicola Davidson’s Joy to the Earl. A masquerade ball was no place to be reckless with your innocence, and yet one scorching look at the masked highwayman urges Miss Partridge to do just that in Mistletoe and the Marquess by Wendy Vella. In Lord Misrule by Donna Cummings, a young widow chooses a handsome rogue to be her first lover, but his regrets from a past Christmas may end their affair before it even commences. A blue-stocking becomes a courtesan to escape a murderer in The Glittering Prize, an intrigue-filled romance by Beverley Oakley about finding love where it’s least expected.
This is an all-new collection of stand-alone complete works.
