Welcome back to Romance Lives Forever, Xavier! Tell us about the main character in your current book. What is he like?
Anson the main character in Earthly Concerns, is sensitive, he is very intuitive and gifted with the ability to see beyond the world around him. Unfortunately, this gift seldom works on his behalf. He is flawed in that he loves passionately and is confused by anyone who is incapable of true love.
If your main character were here today, what would he say is his strongest point?
Anson’s ability and willingness to help and forgive those who have hurt him and caused him heartache is remarkable. I envy him.
Does he think he has a weakness? (If so, what does he think it is? What does his lover think it is? What does his enemy think it is?)
Yes! He thinks he has a weakness! His need to find love and be loved blinds him to the damage caused by those he is seeking love from, causing him much emotional distress and pain. I would think his lover in this story thinks Anson’s weakness is his ability to love selflessly.
What drives your hero to do the things he does? What makes him want to be the “good guy?”
Anson is motivated to help Barrett find his missing child for two reasons; he swore an oath to always help someone with his gift if he could and second, he truly believes in Barrett, he believes there is good inside of the man who has hurt him.
What’s your main character’s favorite guilty pleasure?
Barrett is definitely Anson’s guilty pleasure.
If you didn’t know how old you were how old would you be?
As a child, what was your favorite thing about school?
If you came with a warning label, what would it say?
Careful! Contents are hot!
