1385 A.D. – Knighted on the battlefield for extreme bravery, Edward de Montfort accepts an invitation to serve in King Richard’s guard at the royal court. When the king sends him on a covert mission to Canterbury, Edward hopes success will allow him to win his freedom so he can return home to a quieter life.
Lady Rosalyne Parry loses her parents when she is an infant and is raised by her uncle, an artist of some renown. Due to his failing health, Rosalyne takes over Templeton Parry’s commissions, painting in secret while permitting him to receive the credit since she believes no one would accept a woman as an artist.

Each book in the Knights of Honor series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed out of order.
Why did you write this book?
This is the final book in my Knights of Honor series. I’ve told the story of all of Geoffrey and Merryn de Montfort’s children. This is the love story of their youngest, Jessimond, who is adopted.
What is your favorite genre to read?
    Besides romance, I love thrillers.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I’m partial to Atticus Finch. He’s a great lawyer, father, and role model for all.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m excited about The King’s Cousins, a trilogy that will come out early in 2019. Each sibling gets their HEA—Katelyn in The Pawn; Landon in The Heir; and Quill in The Bastard.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
Besides The King’s Cousins, I have a January release in the Pirates of Britannica series, God of the Seas. The hero, Godwin de Blays, is actually the great-grandfather to the siblings featured in The King’s Cousins.
Next summer, my first Regency trilogy will be released! I’m excited about writing in a new romance subgenre.

Path to Honor is continuing my Knights of Honor series, and I want to give all of Geoffrey and Merryn de Montfort’s children their own HEA. Each of the de Montforts have made a love match, and I wanted tomboy Nan, an archer, to find a man who didn’t believe in love—and change his mind.

I’m drawn to historical romance, maybe because I was a history teacher AND I write it!
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I adore Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m working on edits for Season of Honor, my contribution to the Dragonblade Publishing holiday anthology A Night of Angels, which begins its Amazon preorder tomorrow!

Besides the November releases of A Night of Angels and Return to Honor, January 2019 will see a contribution to the Pirates of Britannia series, God of the Seas. Rise of de Wolfe by Alexa Aston @AlexaAston #RLFblog #NewRelease #medievalromanceAlexa Aston, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

Rise of de Wolfe by Alexa Aston

    Genre: medieval romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings):PG-13
1321 A.D. – After her brother’s death at the Battle of Bannockburn, Elia de Wolfe is sent to the royal court to serve as a lady-in-waiting to Queen Isabella. The granddaughter of Patrick de Wolfe, known as Nighthawk, and great-granddaughter of William de Wolfe, the Wolfe of the North, Elia is fiercely proud of her heritage and yearns to return to her home after years of fostering with the queen. When she learns her father is determined to keep her far from the border troubles with Scotland, Elia makes plans to return home.
Ferand de Montfort lost his young wife and son in childbirth and seeks a new bride–this time, one of his own choosing. He travels to London and is captivated by Elia de Wolfe, a spirited and intelligent woman. Elia convinces Ferand to escort her home, understanding she will be in his debt. Ferand hopes collecting that debt will include making Elia his wife.
Elia’s increasing reluctance to reach home springs from her growing attraction to Ferand. She is torn between remaining loyal to her family and losing her opportunity for true love.
Join Ferand and Elia on their journey across England as they find love and unite two great English families, the de Montforts and de Wolfes, in this exciting prequel to The Knights of Honor medieval romance series.
*Each book in the Knights of Honor series is a standalone story that can be enjoyed out of order.
    Series Order:
    Book #1 Word of Honor
    Book #2 Marked by Honor
    Book #3 Code of Honor
    Book #4 Journey to Honor
    Book #5 Heart of Honor
    Book #6 Bold in Honor
    Book #7 Love and Honor
    Book #8 Gift of Honor
Why did you write this book?
I’d never written a novella before when Kathryn Le Veque asked me to write in her World of de Wolfe Pack for Kindle Worlds. I used the opportunity to tie it into my Knights of Honor series and unite the great-granddaughter of her William de Wolfe with one of my de Montforts.
I was able to create the character of Elia de Wolfe, a strong female, and give her a love story with Ferand de Montfort. Elia will give birth to Geoffrey de Montfort, the hero of Word of Honor, Book 1 in my Knights of Honor series. Geoffrey and his wife, Merryn, appear in all ten books of the series as my anchor couple. It was fun getting to see the origins of this powerful family.
Unfortunately, Kindle Worlds’ novellas only were sold in the US, disappointing my readers who are abroad. Then–Amazon shut down Kindle Worlds July 17–so no one would be able to read this prequel! Kathryn Le Veque swept in and solved my problems. She created her own imprint, Wolfebane Publishing, to publish these novellas, which will be available to readers worldwide. I can’t wait for my fans in Canada, the UK, India, and Australia to have access to Rise of de Wolfe.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I have always been a reader of romance, especially historical romance, but I also enjoy thrillers, mysteries, and suspense.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
It’s got to be Miss Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m with Dragonblade Publishing, and they are putting out a Christmas Anthology written by 8 of their authors–including me!
The great thing about the novella I’m contributing to this set is that I’m getting to write for Geoffrey and Merryn de Montfort again. I never thought I would since I’ve finished the series (the last two books are with my editor now).
This will be just a few days in their lives as they spend their first Christmas together. It was very special to be able to revisit them again as they build a life of love as a couple.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
I’ll be finishing up my Knights of Honor series in 2018. Path to Honor, Nan de Montfort’s story, will be released in September, and Jessimond de Montfort will get her HEA in November’s Return to Honor.

Gift of Honor (Knights of Honor Book 8)

    Genre: medieval romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG-13
Two outcasts come together and find the gift of love…
1387 A.D. – As a royal guardsman to King Richard II, Sir Hal de Montfort places duty above all else. When a royal rebellion threatens the king’s power, Hal is caught up in a political game and winds up losing everything dear to him. Broken in spirit and stripped of all knightly possessions, he begins the long journey to Kinwick, his parents’ home.
Because Lady Elinor Swan wasn’t the expected male heir, her unforgiving father exiles her from Whitley after her mother dies in childbirth. Elinor is taken in by the estate’s falconer and spends years training to be a falconer herself. She rescues Hal when he is injured by highwaymen. As he heals physically and she teaches him about working with raptors, Hal regains his confidence and becomes a better man than the charming, lighthearted knight of the royal court he’d once been.
Will Elinor learn how to fit into a world she’s never been a part of—especially after she fears she will be blamed for the death of a noblewoman who bore her a grudge?
Join Hal and Elinor as they learn about each other and what counts most in life.

    Book #6 Bold in Honor
    Book #7 Love and Honor
    Book #8 Gift of Honor
Why did you write this book?
This is part of my Knights of Honor series, and I’m giving all of Geoffrey and Merryn de Montfort’s children their own love stories. I enjoyed writing for Hal de Montfort when he was a toddler in Code of Honor and am delighted to write him as a mature knight who finds his soul mate in falconer Elinor Swan.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Hands down, it’s historical romance—but I also enjoy thrillers, mysteries, and suspense.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I will always adore Miss Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’ve been asked by Kathryn Le Veque and Eliza Knight to contribute a romance to their Pirates of Britannia, so I’m deep into writing about pirates at the moment! God of the Seas will come out in January 2019 as a part of the Pirates of Britannia World. It will serve as a prequel to a three-book medieval trilogy, The King’s Cousins.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
