Welcome Gemma Snow author of The Lovin’ Is Easy, a new erotic western romance.Why did you write this book?
This actually started out as a short story for a summer-themed anthology. At the end of the day, it wasn’t a good fit for the anthology, but my editor suggested that I think a little bigger. Not only did The Lovin’ Is Easy become a full-length novel, but it became part of a four season series set at or near the Triple Diamond Ranch in Wolf Creek, Montana.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I love nearly every romance genre. I got started on regency novels, but long since discovered contemporary, erotic, highlanders, and all the rest. I write romance because I love to read romance.
That being said, I’m also on a nonfiction jag, mostly books about climate change and modern feminism. (Sometimes both!) I just finished Hidden Figures which was a really fantastic read. Anything with great women at the fore.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
One of my all-time favorite authors is Juliette Mariller, who writes fantasy set mostly in the British Isles. I don’t know if I could pick a favorite from her lineup, but the first three books in her Daughter of the Forest series, Daughter of the Forest, Son of Shadows and Child of the Prophecy are some of my very top reads.
Also, Hermione Granger. She’s my everything.
And if you want a really embarrassing secret, I sometimes pretend that the SEALs from Suzanne Brockmann’s Troubleshooter series go on my morning runs with me, so I don’t get lazy because they wouldn’t stand for it…
What are you working on at the moment?
So right now I’m in final edits on the next book in the Triple Diamond series, Wild Flowers, which centers on her heroine from The Lovin’ Is Easy, Madison’s younger sister Lily.
This series is a lot of fun because it’s been very challenging. The books all share a setting and all four of them are M/F/M menage romances, which runs the risk of my writing the same book four times. In the case of these books, characters and their reactions to the proposed relationship are fundamental for differentiating them, so it’s been a lot of fun figuring out who my heroes (and heroes) and heroines are in each different story.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
I’m so excited to share the news! I have a new historical BDSM novella coming out in October called Leather and Gold, book one in the At My Lady’s Pleasure series. I think a huge draw of writing historical romance is the built in tension based on society’s rules and requirements, and adding a deeper, more depraved layer to that just called to me.

Fake it until you make it.

Think—and act—positively
Your body can change your mind, but so can you. A smile lifts my spirits every time. Want another example? Concentrate on what you want rather than what you don’t want. And go for it.
Master a new skill
Start small. You don’t need to do everything overnight. Learn to laugh at your mistakes and persevere. You’ll get there in time.
Set boundaries
Do you feel guilty if you say no? I do. Decide how you want people to treat you. Don’t try to fix other people. Instead take responsibility for yourself and if someone doesn’t accept that, walk away.
Take pride in yourself and your achievements.
This is the hard one. Worked hard to learn something? Then decide a million people know more. That’s me. I even dismiss my writing as just erotic romance sometimes. I work damned hard at it so I should stand loud and proud and tell people about it. I guess I’m saying, don’t follow my example.

There is no doubt about it; ladies who wear high heels look great. I don’t know the sales figures but I’m sure that high heeled shoes must be one of the market leaders. But that’s not my point – my impression here is to try to offer three stories about ladies who have worn high heels with spectacular results:
Red High Heels is set in London, probably in the 1990’s. The man who appreciates the high heels is a stem-cell research scientist, who tries to help Roxanne put on her Red High Heels. Roger does a better job when she takes them off.
Helga’s Red Thigh Boots is set in Rotterdam, when climate change is beginning to emerge as a serious problem. The lady, Hufflepuff, wears high heels as she is tiny, but when Fred takes her to Canada in the winter she needs warmer shoes, so long red leather thigh boots is her solution.
Black High Heels starts off in the early 2000’s, when international aid is beginning to open up the economy in emerging economies like Vietnam, which brings an enjoyable clash of cultures between a Brit adviser and a lady graduate who takes off her black high heels.
