for photographs for a calendar of topless men, with profits going to the Hero
Family Fund, she’s eager to help out. Unfortunately, she doesn’t know any men

Brogan—her late fiance’s brother—turns up in New York. Seeing him brings up all kinds of
memories, but she’s determined to push them aside and be friends with Patrick.
She also realizes he’d be perfect for the calendar. But can she persuade him to

Writing Paranormal by JoAnne Myers @scooterismine #RLFblog #paranormalromance
When it comes to fiction writing, almost anything goes. That
is why I love writing paranormal stories. The author can go completely over the
edge and make something unbelievable seem believable. When it comes to ghost
stories, I get a lot of my inspiration from real life experiences. Not
necessarily my own either. I watch television programs that partake of the
supernatural and paranormal flare. Programs from ordinary people who claim they
experienced either an afterlife experience, or a haunting. Some of my stories from my upcoming release “Wicked
Intentions” are based on actual hauntings. Some stories I read about in
the newspaper, and others I watched on true life experience programs.Blurbs for “Wicked Intentions”Some of the stories from my paranormal anthology,
“Wicked Intentions” are based on actual hauntings. In The Legend of
Lake Manor, I placed my young psychic, Cassandra Lopez, in a haunted mansion I
fashioned on my knowledge of a three-story mansion in my hometown and
information from television about a restaurant/bar in Ohio, supposedly ruled by demons so violent
that the local police are constantly closing it down.A television documentary about a young mother plagued by
ghost sightings since childhood, inspired The Haunting of Barb Marie and her
gift/curse.And The Apartment, in which my newlyweds, Bill and Gayle,
are plagued by sightings of evil ghosts that threaten their marriage and theirs
lives, originated from a real apartment haunted by the ghosts of two homosexual
lovers who died violently. The legend says no tenant is able to stay there
until the spirits are chased off by a paranormal investigation team.On the Discovery Channel, I got the idea for Summer Wind. I
learned of the colonial explorer Jonathon Carver who lived during the 1700s and
whose ghost is believed to be haunting the Summerwind estate, built in the
early 20th century. Carver’s ghost is, supposedly, searching the house’s
foundations for deeds to a vast tract of land (10,000 square miles) given to
him by Sioux Indian chiefs as a reward for the peace treaty he created between
two warring tribes. In my Summer Wind, 29 year-old Ginger is mysteriously drawn
to the old mansion, and like the many owners of the real mansion, the haunting
had a negative and profound effect on Ginger and her family.Another investigative program concerned one sister’s psychic
premonitions about her twin’s murder. This led to my story, Blood Ties, and my
heroine, Audra Roper’s dark, disturbing visions of her sister’s disappearance
and the roller coaster of risks, heartbreak, and intrigue that followed.Dark Visions came from reading a newspaper story while
sitting in a diner. A young woman began having visions of her father’s
disappearance that was actually his murder from years earlier. So, my Carrie
Reynolds starts having nightmares on her twenty-sixth birthday and believes
these ‘dark visions’ can solve the twenty year disappearance of her father.I set my murder mystery, The Truth Behind the Lies, on Norfolk Island after following a three year long murder
investigation on that island from 2003. In my story, Federal Police Inspector
Ian Christian faces attacks, more murders and ghostly occurrences, and the
killer is closer than anyone realizes. So, the next time you get Writer’s Block, or need a new
idea, try switching on the television, open a newspaper, delve into history or
simply look and listen. You will find something to stimulate your muse.Other books by JoAnne Myers

Interview with Daisy Banks
Why did you write this
book? This book is the offshoot of another I started. I realized I’d
begun in the middle of something and needed the reasons behind those events for
things to make sense. Therefore A Perfect Match came into being. I had a great time
writing this story and found the characters, like their world, compelling. I think
this is a cross genre romance, part fantasy and part sci-fi.This is the first time I have written something so complex and
I enjoyed the challenge of world building and creating a religion, government and
social structure. The society my characters function in is one where they shine
as individuals and as a couple. I always enjoy seeing my characters overcome obstacles
and Varon and Anwell face a raft of difficulties in A Perfect Match. I also like
to see my characters grow and this couple develop as individuals as they learn to
depend on each other.I guess the most basic reason of all as to why I wrote this story
is that it was in my head and I wanted to tell the tale. The sci-fi futuristic elements
to the story are a step in a different direction for me and I surprised myself with
some of the aspects of the story. What is your favorite
genre to read?I enjoy fantasy and have done for a long time. I like fantasy
romance and epic fantasy stories. One of the joys of fantasy is the range and depth
it offers both writers and readers. What is your favorite
character from fiction? My all time favorite character remains Merlin in all the many
interpretations of his story. I like the many different qualities within the character
of Merlin. I also enjoy the range and depth different writers have discovered showing
many elements to him.Do you enjoy films and/or
TV shows? Which are your favorites?I enjoy movies in many genres and I love some of the old movies
from the 30’s and 40’s. My favorite version of Pride and Prejudice is the black
and white version. I adore Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers dance movies and anything
with Katherine Hepburn in it. I watch more up to date movies too and I have a big
collection of DVD’s.The two most memorable films I saw in a cinema are Jaws, because
the whole audience stood clapping and cheering at the end when the shark got killed,
and Lord of the Rings part 1 because Hobbiton looked so close to my imagining.I don’t watch a great deal of TV but I do like Sherlock Holmes
and Dr. Who. I tend to watch historical documentary style programs rather than anything
else.What are you working on
at the moment, and what are we likely to see from you in the coming months? At present, I am thrilled to have my book A Perfect Match released
today by Taliesin Publishing and am working on some promotional activities and blogging
about that story.I am also in edits with the sequel to Timeless, To Eternity,
which will be published by Lyrical Press, A Kensington Imprint, later this year.
I am very excited that this story will be available to readers soon.Next year my fantasy story, Marked for Magic, will be released
by Lyrical Press too.I am also working on short story for a group anthology but that’s
all a bit hush hush right now. There is a new historical as a work in progress too and a short
story that should be finished by the end of July. All in all, there is lots going
on and I’m working hard. Please tell us about your
latest book.Commander Varon Jarlath is an interstellar water diviner of great
talent and a hero to the city that survives because of his successful missions.
His popularity with the folk adds to the reasons behind the enmity of Lord Chardel,
leader of the city government body, the Carnag.Varon understands the malice behind the offer of a bride and
the political difficulty he might face should he refuse the generosity of the Carnag.
His hopes for the success of his marriage are not high until he meets his bride.Anwell Nastor has spent every day since her twelfth birthday
in the Temple offering
prayer chants to the gods. The shock of her wedding almost overwhelms her but she
has courage and a mind.Political intrigue, the danger to the folk and the city all push
Varon and his bride to work together to gain popularity so they can have a voice
and make a difference.Author Bio

Character Interview: Virgina from Sweet Spot – Lucy Felthouse @cw1985 #RLFblog #LGBT
Sweet Spot About the Book
Title Sweet SpotGenre F/F Erotic Sports RomanceAuthor Lucy FelthouseBook heat level (based on movie ratings): RA Raw Talent bookVirginia Miller is an up-and-coming tennis star. She’s gone from
a ratty tennis court in a park in south London, England, to the world’s top training facility–Los Carlos Tennis Academy
in California.
In awe of the talent around her, Virginia
is all the more determined to make the most of the opportunity and show that she’s
worthy of her place there. Her mentor, Nadia Gorlando, has every faith in her.But Virginia finds herself distracted–Nadia,
as well as being a top-notch tennis player, is seriously sexy, and Virginia’s mind keeps wandering
where it shouldn’t. Will her crush get in the way of her career, or can she find
a way to push the other woman out of her mind before it’s too late?Buy This Book

Tell us about yourself,
please.Hi, I’m Virginia Miller and I’m from London, England.
I’m currently living in California,
though–I can hardly believe it! I was accepted to train at Los Carlos Tennis Academy,
and I’m now mingling with many of my idols. I have to keep pinching myself to make
sure I’m not dreaming. What’s your internal limitation?
Meaning, what is it about you that makes it so you cannot do what it is you need
to do during this story?I really, really want to tell Nadia Gorlando how I feel about
her. She’s a top tennis player, not just in the Academy, but in the world, and she’s
also my mentor. There are so many reasons I can’t tell her, though. She’s my mentor,
we work closely together, I’m afraid. Plus, I don’t even know if she’s into women! What inner doubt causes
you the most difficulty?Doubting my own abilities. I must be doing something right because
I managed to get into the Academy, but I often find it difficult to believe that
I could ever be a top tennis player. Nadia has a great deal of faith in me, however,
so I’m slowly starting to believe in myself more. What’s your external complication?
In the story world your author created, explain what it is you fear most.Failure is pretty damn terrifying. I’ve worked damn hard to get
even as far as the Academy, and now I’m here I want to go all the way. I know there’s
a lot of time and effort in front of me, and I don’t mind. I just don’t want to
let myself, my parents, Nadia and the Academy down. What is your family like? They’re great. My parents have always been very supportive, ever
since the first moment I had a tennis racket in my hand and got hooked on the sport.
They’ve been behind me every step of the way, and I owe them a lot–without them,
I wouldn’t be at the Academy at all. They wanted me to have a backup plan, though,
and insisted I didn’t rely wholly on tennis to get me through life and into a career–and
threatened to stop paying for my tennis tuition if I didn’t try hard in my school
education and exams. I’m so glad they did, as education is so important. What special skills do
you rely on?I don’t. As I said above my parents refused to let me rely wholeheartedly
on tennis to get me through life and a career, and as I grew up I realized they
were absolutely right. Yes, my tennis playing has gotten me from a ratty court in
south London to
the world’s top training facility, but that isn’t just down to my tennis skills.
It’s down to hard work, sheer determination and the people I have supporting me.
I’m so grateful for them. Are you happy with the
way your story ended? Why or why not?Oh yes, absolutely. There were lots of ups and downs along the
way, but the ending was certainly satisfactory. I’d really like to find out what
happens next, though!About the Writer
You have the length of
a tweet (140 characters) to describe yourself as a writer. Let’s see what you can
do.Lucy Felthouse is driven, supportive, writes lots of different
stories, takes too much on and adores her readers and fellow Brit Babes. Why did you choose to
write about this character?I’m not sure, really. She didn’t appear in the first Raw Talent
book, Grand Slam, but Nadia Gorlando did. I was specifically wanting to write a
F/F erotic romance novella for Ellora’s Cave’s Hot Pink series, so I figured it
would be fun to take the character of Nadia, who’d had a few appearances in Grand
Slam, and give her a love story of her own. When you wrote about this
character, what made you the most happy? What made you the most sad?Giving Virginia
what she really wanted made me very happy. But some of the stuff I put her through
in the interim was pretty sad. Sorry, Virginia…Why do you write?Because I can’t not write! I get really grumpy if I don’t.What do you want to write
next?My next project is a M/M military erotic romance novella, called
Desert Heat, which is going to be set in Afghanistan. What other character from
this book do you want to write about? Care to tell us why?Peter Ross is actually due his own story. Lily and I have been
working on it, but I’m not sure when it’ll get finished–things are crazy busy in
both our worlds! Are any sequels planned
for this book?Sort of. The Raw Talent
series is a sports romance series by myself and Lily Harlem. We have both co-authored
and solo projects in the series, and so far the books have had crossover between
the other books–that is, you can read them as standalones, but certain characters
and events will appear in more than one title. So there’s definitely a chance that
Virginia and Nadia will get another outing in future releases, but they probably
won’t be the main characters. Is there anything you’d
like to say to your readers?Yes–huge thanks to all of those that buy and read my books.
I couldn’t do this without you–you’re totally awesome!Author Bio
