Why did you write this book?
Fin d’Espoir was inspired by a trip I took to Jamaica, many years ago. On one tour, we visited a ruined plantation buried deep in the jungle. The brooding atmosphere of the place made a deep impression on me. When I decided I wanted to write a vampire character distinctly different from the typical Caucasian, Dracula-inspired blood drinker, that experience came back to me. The book includes other scenes from that journey as well, including a midnight swim in the lava-rock grottoes of Negril.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I read a wide variety of genres, so it’s quite difficult to pick just one. However, if you force me to do so, I think I’d select science fiction. I’ve been reading scifi since I learned how to make out the words on the page, starting with the Mushroom Planet books, moving on to Heinlein and Bradbury, branching out to Philip K. Dick, Neal Stephenson, Octavia Butler, Sherri Tepper, and more. The explosion of books by indie authors offers a wealth of new and exciting choices in the genre.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
That’s another tough question! I don’t think I can provide an absolute answer, since I’m very influenced by what I’ve read lately. One character who comes to mind is Miss Alexia Tarabotti from Gail Carriger’s Parasol Protectorate series. I tend to like female characters with strong opinions who aren’t afraid to speak their minds.
What are you working on at the moment?
I am currently writing the second to last chapter of a novel called The Pornographer’s Apprentice, first book in a steam punk erotica series, The Toymakers Guild. I write a good deal of out-and-out erotica, as well as erotic romance. This book is a lot of fun – in fact it features a smart, strong heroine who isn’t afraid to speak her mind! But I probably won’t be featuring it on Romance Lives Forever.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
I’d like to bring out a sequel to my MM science fiction romance The H-Gene, which was released a few months ago. It’s the first book in a series called After the Plague. I also plan a mature romance for the holidays, possibly reprising the 60+-aged characters from Gray Christmas.

First, what is your name and how old are you?
Hello, my name is Aaron and… I’m 3,000 years old, give or take.
What is the time period in which you live?
Currently, I’m living in 2015. I came from the Iron Age, however.
What is considered “appropriate” for someone of your gender to wear?
These days, you folks are pretty simple in your clothing. Or restricted, depending. There was a time, my dear, when I’d go naked and no one would, as you say, bat an eye.
How do you feel about wearing that type of clothing?
I don’t really like ties. The damned things are too choking.
Considering the role you play in society, what is expected for you to wear?
These days? My Irish stick fighting school has a pretty loose uniform; in battle, I usually wear battle leathers, and every day, I’m fond of jeans and a t-shirt. In the Iron age, it was usually just loose linen pants, shirts, and cloaks when it was cold. But I live in Florida, now, and don’t usually have to break out the cold weather clothing.
Ever required to wear something you don’t like? Tell us about it.
Ties. Shudder. What fool came up with those things. You might as well wear a noose.
Do you make your own clothing?
No. The women in my tribe used to do most of the clothes construction; now, the Tuatha de Dannan have their own tailors, so I and my brothers-in-arms, usually go to them. For modern street clothes, the local tailor does well, but again, I usually turn to those of my tribe. But in a pinch, I’ve had to mend them before.
Mending and laundry are chores for anyone. Do you do it or someone else?
I do my own. Well, did, before I moved in with Stacy. Now, we share that chore.
What determines the type of clothing you buy? (example, money, fashion, job)
I go for comfort.
When you wear something different, who’s the first person who notices?
Usually Stacy.
Tell us your favorite thing to wear.
Nothing. ;)
What kind of shoes or boots do you wear?
I’m fond of combat boots. The last few years, I never know when I’m going to need them.
Does what you wear make you feel good, or do you dislike it?
As I go for comfort—especially if, you know, a battle with Balor’s minions should break out—I don’t hang my self-esteem on my clothing.
When others see you what is their first impression?
Bad guys, usually think twice.
How do you feel about that impression?
If it keeps Stacy safe, I’m all for it.
What do you wear to sleep?
;D Nothing.
Ever dealt with a “wardrobe malfunction”? Depending on your era, you might need to ask your author what this means.
Not that I can remember.Does anyone help you dress (other than a lover)?
*stares* My dear, did you miss the part about my age? Okay, I’ll say the Tuatha de Dannan tailors, and there may’ve been a back buckle on a bandolier or two that was tricky.
Have you ever worn:
a uniform : Yes, if battle leathers count.
a costume: Maybe when I was a child, I don’t remember, it’s been so long ago.
a disguise: We did in our tribe for different ceremonies, but I haven’t worn one in… donkeys years.
an outfit for the opposite gender: no.
What would you wear to avoid attention?
Whatever the dominant culture is wearing.
What do you wish you could wear?
I’m fairly happy with my current wardrobe, so I don’t really have an answer for that question, Kayelle.
What do you wish you didn’t have to wear?
Battle leathers. I’d love it if our war with Balor ended permanently.

If your author has a pet, is the pet ever dressed in clothing?
She doesn’t have a pet, but when as a child, yes she had cats and dogs. Her family never dressed them up, though.

How many books do you plan for the series?
Originally it was only going to be a single book with everything wrapping up in Seducing the Darkness. After my publisher read it, she asked if I might consider making it a series. She was thinking 3 books. I couldn’t let the characters go, so 8 were created.
How many books are completed?
All 8 books are complete. I was writing one book while editing the other so that all 8 could be released in one year.
What characters are the main stars in your series?
The heroine is Trinity Ford and she’s a vampire as is the hero, Basil Hawthorn. He is also the Prince of vampires. They are the lead in the first six books, then make guest appearances in the last two.There are also 3 other characters that are key in every book.
What is the overall theme in this series?
Trinity isn’t your normal vampire. She wants to keep her city safe by taking out as many bad vampires as she can. But when a ritual is performed to blot out the sun over Jacob’s Cove, she has her hands full. Each book introduces a new character that are love interests for the 3 other main characters. With the sun gone, the vampires are taking over. Trinity, Basil and the other characters try to save what humans haven’t fled the city while trying to bring the sun back. In the midst of all the mayhem, love blooms adding brightness to a very dark situation. Each book takes up where the previous ended.

Why did you write this book?
Gwen was introduced in A Witch’s Journey. Brock came to fruition in A Witch’s Holiday Wedding. They insisted on their own story. Then my friend adopted three baby desert tortoises. A story line began in play out in my head, since Gwen is a wildlife rehabilitator and Brock is a veterinarian. They live and work in Salem, Massachusetts. Salem as always intrigued me, so I put a twist on the witch trials and a trip back in time. Then I threw in poachers in present time and a dog and owl rescue. Still the what if’s just kept coming and Hidden Gypsy Magic was born.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I love read all kinds of genres. Favorite if I had to pick one would be paranormal, fantasy, mystery all rolled into one. I like Science Fiction too.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Dianna Bishop from A Discovery of Witches.
Or Hermione Granger from Harry Potter Series.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m doing edits on the sixth book in A Demon’s Witch Series. And researching my book for The Wild Rose Press’s Wylder Series (It will be my first attempt at a paranormal historical time travel) I’m really excited about both projects. I can’t wait to get them in the hands of my readers.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
Hidden Gypsy Magic releases today, September 28, 2020. It’s the third book in A Witch’s Journey Series. But is also a standalone.
Chocolate Raspberry Magic will release in April of 2021. It’s part of the One Scoop or Two summer series and the fourth book in A Witch’s Journey Series.
I hope to release the sixth book in A Demon’s Witch Series in 2021 as well as the Wylder book by the end of 2021. Fingers crossed.
All books in my series can be read as standalones.

When their blossoming love is overshadowed by a ghostly haunting, the curious Cassie launches an investigation into the life and death of her home’s previous owner, uncovering a mystery and attracting the attention of a killer. Where will Cassie’s discovery lead her, to the love of her life or to death itself?
Tell us about yourself as a person.
What makes you different from other people?
Well, I once lived in a haunted house. It wasn’t a malicious spirit. Completely opposite. The spirit of the woman who died in our farm house was very helpful in that she would bring my baby sister a bottle if she woke crying, opened the curtains in the morning to let the sun in and set cups on the table or morning coffee.
What is your favorite subject to talk about?
Anything paranormal. I’m fascinated in others experiences and thoughts of spirits who still remain around us.
What is your favorite meal?
I’m a meat and potatoes gal. I could eat roast chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy every day if I could.
Tell us about yourself as a writer.
What made you want to be a writer?
I’ve always been a storyteller. As far back as I can remember, I told stories to anyone who listened. As I grew, so did my collection of stories. After filling two boxes of manuscripts, my husband urged me to look into getting them published. It wasn’t easy, but I stuck with it, and to date, I have 15 books published.
When you go to a convention, what kinds of things do you take along?
A nice bright bouquet of flowers. Bookmarks for giveaways and merchandise with my books printed on them.
What’s your best advice for a new writer?
If it truly is your passion, stick to it. Don’t let rejections get you down or doubt yourself.
