Would you show mercy to the lover who deserted you?
Finley Helmer thought he had it all when Elina invited him into her bed. He thought he found passion and love beyond compare. Instead he was thrown into a life of smuggling black opals, drugs and aboriginal slaves. When he was charged with murder, he fled town to escape the charges, vowing to return and ask his lover why she’d handed him over to the police.
Elina Clemence was ripped away from her home and the man she loved and brought to Australia to start her life anew. Her father promised her beauty and opportunity. What she found was a cruel and abusive business partner, and a step-daughter who wanted to destroy her.
Despite the constant accidents following her and threatening her life, Elina sets herself up as a profitable shipping tycoon, with control over most of the towns supply. Despite her powerful position, her heart still ached for the man she once loved who disappeared from her life without a trace.
Finding themselves passionately reunited, Finley and Elina discover the cruelty that tore them from each other. As they search for answers, they uncover the unrelenting wrath and vengeance of an opium addict who will stop at nothing until she has possession of the black opals she thinks they are hiding.
Will their love for each other allow them forgiveness, or will they fall victim to the horror that seems to be following them?

    Faye Hall Social Media

Faye Hall spent her early years listening to stories about the families – including her own – who settled townships in and around her hometown in North Queensland, Australia. The local townspeople, including her own parents, told her stories of corruption and slavery, along with family secrets and forbidden love.
Desperate to remember what she’d been told, along with her already growing love of writing, Faye began to write about the history of her local area. Never could she have imagined the history of her small home town in Australia would become a growing list of published books.
Faye’s passionate stories combine controversial subjects and provocative encounters as her characters struggle to survive the lifestyle in early rural townships throughout Australia. She explores slavery and abortion, drug addiction and murder, as well as forbidden love and passionate affairs of the heart.
When she’d not writing, Faye enjoys sharing a bottle of wine with her husband in their ever-growing garden, and encouraging the varied interests of their combined family of nine children.

    Consenting Adults by PE Kavanagh

    Steamy contemporary romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): Rated R

    One secret identity.
Tyler Diamond is a legend in the tech world. A man with limitless access to wealth, power, and any information he wants. At a wedding full of celebrities, he can’t look away from the striking woman he’s never seen before. She is a flash of neon in a black-and-white world.

Over the course of three weddings, two holidays, and a cross-country courtship, Tyler and Talia move from strangers, to friends, to lovers. Their worlds entangle with an intensity that surprises them both.
It might have been fate that brought them together. From the first moment, it was clear something extraordinary would happen between them. Choosing a relationship that would change them both, irreversibly, required clear consent. Will they give it?
If you love an opposites attract story and are looking for smart, sexy, diverse characters in a layered, emotionally-gripping story, Consenting Adults will answer your call.

    QUICK

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?…
All my books are contemporary romances. Occasionally, they will include a splash of suspense or a sprinkle of fantasy. It’s a representation of how I see the world. Love, excitement, and magic feature prominently. My nonfiction writing, which includes essays and articles, leans more toward the inspirational and educational.
How do you come up with ideas?…
Most of my stories have come through dreams. For whatever reason, my characters love to wake me up! It usually takes a significant amount of massaging to turn a wild dream into a realistic romance, however, and in that journey, all the important subtleties are revealed.
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
I believe the creative process and making art is one of the greatest healing forces we have access to. My writing began as an attempt to sort out the conflicting, and often painful, thoughts I was having. All these years later, it helps me to make sense of the incomprehensible and remake the world in a way that makes me happy.
When did you write your first book?…
I wrote my first book during NaNoWriMo of 2012 and it was published two years later. Before that point, I had never considered that I could write fiction of that length. It was a dare, that I surprised myself by winning.

    Drakon’s Tear by NJ Walters @njwaltersauthor #RLFblog #PNR

Drakon's Tear by NJ Walters @njwaltersauthor #RLFblog #PNRNJ Walters, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

    Drakon’s Tear by NJ Walters

    Genre Paranormal Romance/Shapeshifter
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Dying isn’t an option. I’ve survived a kidnapping, and now I’m on the run from the Knights of the Dragon who want my gift. There’s nothing a dragon loves more than treasure. I’m Abigail Owens, and I can sense gemstones. When I find myself drawn to a beautiful stone bracelet at a tiny shop in Moscow, I can’t help but have it — even though I can sense it’s power. But I didn’t realize with this one decision I’ve just put myself in the middle of a war between the Knights and a Drakon.
I guess I’m just lucky like that.
The only person I trust even a little is Vasili Zima, which is weird since I’m not sure if he wants to kill me or protect me. I’m drawn to him in a way I hadn’t thought possible, and he feels the same way, or he wouldn’t be risking his life to help me. He’s wanted by the bad guys just as much as I am, and staying with me, well, there’s a hundred percent chance I’m about to get us both killed. But I will not be going down without a fight.

(Author’s Note: This book is NOT first person point of view.)

    QUICK

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?…
I write romance, but have explored many different sub-genres—erotic, ménage a trois, contemporary, sci-fi, and paranormal. The past half dozen years or more it’s been mostly paranormal romance. I can’t seem to get enough shifters, especially werewolves and drakons.
How do you come up with ideas?…
Book ideas come from everywhere—TV shows, magazine articles, snippets of overheard conversation, an online quiz, non-fiction books, songs. There is no end to possibilities. It’s all in the combination of the ideas. That’s what makes it so much fun. Sometimes an idea will seemingly pop into my head out of nowhere while I’m out walking or doing housework.
I’ve carried some ideas around with me for years. That’s what happened with the Blood of the Drakon series. I always knew I wanted to write about drakons (the offspring between pure-blooded dragons and human women), but the characters didn’t really start talking to me until a few years ago.
While I was waiting for the drakons, I had plenty of alpha werewolves demanding stories of their own.
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
Everything starts with the characters. I may have an idea, but until I know the hero and heroine I don’t even think about writing. I write mini bios on index cards. I’ll often learn a lot more about them as I go, but that’s where I start.
Once I understand who the characters are, their story naturally arises from that. I’ll often have a couple of ideas for scenes or conflicts before I begin, but I’m more a pantser than a plotter.
As soon as I know what the first scene is going to be I start writing.
When did you write your first book?…
I wrote my first book back in the mid 1990s. I’d always been a voracious reader, but it never occurred to me that I might write until I was unemployed for a short while. I decided to give it a try and wrote 2 books. I submitted them to a couple of publishers, but they were rejected. I put the books away and didn’t start writing again until 2003. I wrote a short novel and submitted it to one of the early e-publishers and had it accepted. Annabelle Lee was released in October of 2004 (it’s since been rereleased as Uncovering Annabelle).
And the two books I wrote back in the 1990s…they were rewritten and Discovering Dani and The Way Home became the first two books of my Jamesville series.

A Kiss and a Promise by Tricia Schneider

    Genre: Romance Anthology

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): G

The six romances included in this anthology have quirky characters, or quirky locations, or quirky situations. You’ll find a ghost and a new homeowner, a spaceship captain and her cartographer, a window designer and high school beau, a banker and a baker, two vampire hunters, and some supernatural beings. You’ll find yourself in two different restaurants, and on another planet. You’ll find deception, intrigue, and old memories. You’ll find Happily-Ever-Afters, and you’ll find Happy-for-Nows. But most of all, you’ll find true romance. You’ll find kisses, and you’ll find promises.

    QUICK

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?…
I write romance fiction. Within that genre, I write historical, paranormal and sci-fi romances.
How do you come up with ideas?…
Sometimes I dream the ideas. I wake up, write my dreams into my dream journal and a story forms out of that. Other times, I might come across a line from a song, or a scene from a movie, or I might overhear something someone said at the grocery store and I begin a “What if?” game and that might become a story. Then again, many other times, the characters simply pop into my head. Some of them are fully formed, some of them I have to discover more about. It’s an interesting process.
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
Exploring my creativity. Writing relaxes me. It excites me. It’s also a form of therapy. I’ve been creating stories for fun since I was a kid, so writing to me is akin to breathing.
When did you write your first book?…
I wrote lots of short stories when I was little. But, I finished my first full-length novel when I was 15. It was a fantasy romance about a young girl who fell through a portal into another world.

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?…
I write mysteries and romantic suspense. My current project is a 3 book cozy mystery series set in Virginia Beach. Before I retired I had a personal/business coaching practice and was a management professor. Wearing that hat, I wrote self-help and personal growth books. Now, I take many of the lessons I shared as a coach and embed them in my stories.
How do you come up with ideas?…
I keep my eyes and ears open to everything around me. I live at the beach where people are very relaxed. Everywhere I go, ideas for stories present themselves so I can pick and choose which to use. My last three books – Gotcha!, Complicity, and Mercy have centered on social issues that make me angry. My goal was to shine the spotlight on important issues in hopes that people with way more power than I have will work to resolve the issue.
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
Crafting a good plot that makes sense to readers, has a happy ending, and showcases the issue I want to put in the spotlight is important. Writing is like putting together a giant jigsaw puzzle. I have so many ideas which I work hard to integrate smoothly into a cohesive story that my readers will love.
When did you write your first book?…
My first books were change management and personal development books that I wrote while I was a college professor. In 1998 I wrote a personal development book called Me, Inc. It helped people navigate their life path and chart a course for where they wanted to be. Then I retired and I switched to mystery and romantic suspense – and am loving it!
