Moonlight Match by Kristina Knight @AuthorKristina #RLFblog #sweetromanceWelcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

    Moonlight Match by Kristina Knight

    Genre: Sweet romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG
Aster Harrington believes in love but love doesn’t seem to believe in her. She’s hoping Goldie and Ginny, the matchmakers who’ve matched on two generations of Harringtons, can work a little love magic for her…
Some call Ethan Talbot rigid, but he prefers to think of himself as prepared. Unfortunately, when he’s matched with Aster Harrington at Joy Island’s Matchmaking Week, all those carefully prepared plans go out the window. He can get back to finding a suitable wife once he’s home in New York. After all, how much damage can one week in the Bahamas do to his plans?

    QUICK

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?…
Yes! I write contemporary romance and women’s fiction, although I’m still awaiting a publication date on my first women’s fiction novel!
How do you come up with ideas?…
Ideas come to me all the time – I’ll overhear a bit of a conversation, or people-watching at the mall will make me wonder, or a movie…ideas are everywhere, we just have to look for them!
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
Getting that first draft down. I’m a big believer in “you can’t edit a blank page” and there are times, in every first draft, when I just don’t want to. I’m stuck or I’m not connecting with the characters or…heck, it’s a beautiful, sunshiney day after a long, gray winter…those are the days that I just have to push through because if I don’t get the draft down then I can’t make it pretty – and publishable!
When did you write your first book?…
I’ve been writing stories as long as I can remember. My first attempt at an actual book was in 6th grade – I wrote a girl-power, Three Musketeers story. It was so much fun, and probably completely awful (I lost it, boo!), but it definitely made me want to write more.

    FUN

Leather or lace? – lace, leather makes you sweaty!
Black or red? – black, the better to blend!
Satin sheets or smooth cotton? – the smoothest of cotton
Ocean or mountains? – Ocean. Most of the time.
City life or country life? – Country – but close enough to the city for a night out!
Party life or evening at home? – Evening at home, for sure!
    Dogs or cats? – DOGS!!!!!!!

Passionate Destiny by Dee S Knight @DeeSKnight #RLFblog #Romance #PNR #ghostDee S Knight , welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

Passionate Destiny by Dee S Knight

    Genre Erotic romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Dr. Margaret Amis-Hollings, professor of women’s studies at a small New Jersey college, is a woman who confidently knows who she is and what she expects of life. Until she loses her teaching position and her well-ordered life gets turned upside down. Then, in a subtle stroke of whimsy, fate tosses her a gift in an historic home and property in Virginia.
Harboring visions of Gone With the Wind, she determines to use River Peace as a temporary reprieve from her troubles. Images of Tara quickly evaporate when she arrives to discover the reality of her inheritance, however.
River Peace has history, grace and style going for it. After only one night, Margaret discovers that it also has a ghost. She’s visited by a male spirit from the time of the War Between the States, who knows how to make a woman feel special. And very loved, indeed.
Aaron Belton meets Margaret when she first arrives in Virginia. He’s renowned for historic renovations on a multitude of properties, but he’s got a special place in his heart for River Peace. He and his family believe the property always should have belonged to them. In fact, Aaron will do almost anything to make that happen. When his passion for the house changes to a passion for the house’s owner, Aaron’s as surprised as anyone. Can he gain both? To do so, he’ll have to face a spectral being.
    And his own destiny.

    QUICK

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?…
I write all romance, but some sub-genre: ménage, futuristic space romp, paranormal, shifter, historical. But most of what I do is contemporary.
How do you come up with ideas?…
Um…coming up with ideas is so easy. Too easy, lol! I take a drive and get my mind doing something different, listen to country music, and voila! Getting those ideas and organized into cohesion and then typing them up is the harder part.
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
Making sure my idea is filled out and feels real. I want the reader to have a “take-me-away” feeling while reading my books, so it must seem like an actual experience. That’s most important to me.
When did you write your first book?…
I wrote Impatient Passion in September 2002. Loved that book! It was published by Liquid Silver Publishing February 14, 2003.

    FUN

Her Cadillac Cowboy by Rue Allyn @RueAllyn #RLFblog #Contemporary RomanceWelcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

Her Cadillac Cowboy by Rue Allyn

Genre Short Contemporary Romance with Comedic elements
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): Definitely R rated
A rich cowboy with a classic Cadillac—sounds like the stuff of dreams for a small-town Texas girl, right? Wrong! Josh McKinley and his classic car have been Sara Carson’s nightmare since Josh left ten years ago. Now the cowboy and his Caddy are back. Sara must choose between loyalty to her family and love for the one man she shouldn’t want.
Is the key to Sara Carson’s heart the Cadillac that their families have been feuding over for ten years? Or will Josh McKinley have to give up the car he treasures in order to win the woman he loves?

    QUICK

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?…
Yes, I also write historical romance (medieval, regency era, and Victorian/western). I’ve done some erotica in the past and while those books are still available, I no longer write to that audience specifically.
How do you come up with ideas?…
I come up with ideas all sorts of ways, but mostly I use ‘What if’. For example “What if a woman wanted to run her family car dealership but her father objects?’ That might be the spark for Her Cadillac Cowboy.
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
Oh heavens, it’s all important. What do I like most? I like drafting most, where I get to discover the story.
When did you write your first book?…
I wrote my first romance in 1996. It was a really lousy book, so don’t ever expect to see it in print.

    FUN

Cuffed: A Detective Goldie Locks Mystery by JA Kazimer

    Genre Romantic Comedy
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG-13
Detective Goldie Locks isn’t looking for just the right bed. Or any bed for that matter.
She’s on the hunt for a killer.
When she discovers the fingerprints of a once-upon-a-time lover, a man who jumped over a candlestick and out a window to leave her facing some serious trespassing trouble alone, at a crime scene, she vows to see him in handcuffs.
Jack B. Nimble has other ideas.
He threatens her adoptive family if Goldie doesn’t help him clear his villainous name, much to the chagrin of her current boyfriend and quite possibly the next mayor, Beau White, the fairest man in all the land.
Trying to prove his innocence turns out to be harder than she expected, especially when Jack refuses to aid in his defense, and instead, starts a campaign to ‘win’ her back. Goldie might be a blond, but she’s far from dumb enough to fall for his charms a second time.
Or so she tells herself every time his lips meet hers.
The deeper she plows into the rabbit hole and Jack’s soul, the more she learns about his motives for returning to the city—Destroying her perfectly crafted life.

    QUICK

Mystery, romantic suspense, urban fantasy, fairytales, humor
How do you come up with ideas

Entertaining readers. Makes someone who might be having a bad day, smile.
When did you write your first book?…
I wrote my first book in 2007.

    FUN

Leather or lace? I’d love to say leather and sounds cool, but lace is much more me.
Black or red? Black. Mostly because I am terrible at color coordinating my clothes.
Satin sheets or smooth cotton? Cotton, or else my pups slide around in bed all night.
Ocean or mountains? Ocean. No contest. Though I live in Colorado. Go figure.
City life or country life? City life. Oddly I like hearing sirens at night. Helps me sleep.
Party life or evening at home? Evening at home, reading.
Dogs or cats? Both. Though I do tend to favor my dogs more.

Only a Good Man Will Do by Dee S Knight @DeeSKnight #RLFblog #romanceWelcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

Only a Good Man Will Do by Dee S Knight

    Genre Erotic Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Daniel Goodman is one of a set of triplets—natural, identical triplets, a rare kind of birth. He is a serious man, often feeling estranged from his wild and carefree brother Jonah and his free-spirited parents. He’s also distanced from his other brother Mark, a genius who might or might not realize that he’s unlike most other people and doesn’t seem to care.
Daniel is a man on a mission. For years he has striven for perfection, fighting for the pinnacle of achievement in his world of academia—Headmaster of Westover Academy. Westover, established before the American Revolution, is still one of the most prestigious schools in the country. They accept only boys whose parents fit a certain mold and only those teachers who hold to a stringent set of mores, on and off campus. Jonah considers his brother a prig. Daniel sees himself as doing his best to serve his students. How much better can he serve them as headmaster? That is what he seeks to find out.
Suddenly, into his cut and dried, strictly black and white life of moral and upright behavior, comes Eve Star, formerly one of Europe’s foremost exotic dancers. Her life is anything but cut and dried, black and white. Bad enough that she’s enrolled her son in Westover Academy under false pretenses. More, she runs the town’s most disreputable bar. Worse, much to Daniel’s dismay, he finds himself drawn to her like a kid to chocolate. Nothing good can come of this attraction. Or can it? He is, after all, a good man.

    QUICK

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?…
As Dee S Knight and within erotic romance I write contemporary and paranormal. I’ve also written a couple of ménage space romps. I write under two different names also, one for sweeter romance and under the third name, all ménage, including historical and shifters.
How do you come up with ideas?…
I’ve often wondered how authors don’t come up with ideas. But the easiest way for me is to go for a drive and listen to country music. If I can’t come up with a new story idea doing those two things, I’m seriously out of it. ?
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
The most important part is developing the idea, getting it organized in my mind. The hardest part is actually sitting at the keyboard and writing. I’m sure I’m not alone in that, but it’s greatly annoying. I’ve tried the software that allows me to talk but my brain didn’t play well with it.
When did you write your first book?…
It’s hard for me to imagine, but my first book, Impatient Passion, came out on Valentine’s Day 2003. I loved that book. The words just flowed (mainly because I didn’t really know what I was doing) and writing was easy. I formulated the idea, wrote it and submitted it in one month. I’d like to do that again!
