Ideas are like leaves falling from the tree in autumn. Having ideas for new stories is no problem. The problem lies in how to write them all.

What a hard question. I can’t find one part of the process from idea, to characters, to plot and to the many drafts that I don’t enjoy.

Well Endowed by Tina Donahue

Genre Erotic PNR RomCom
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Where there’s a will, there’s wicked fun…
Drowning in bad luck, Cari doesn’t know where to turn when the unexpected happens. A loyal customer at her Key West café has left her an inheritance. She hopes for cash to save her restaurant, but receives an old brass bottle that looks like a sex toy…and has Jez inside.
At six-four, he’s built like a gladiator, has looks to die for, and oozes sexuality. He’s also a jinn.
Color her enthralled and excited. Besides being one hot dude, he grants wishes, right?
Not for her. Ironclad tradition demands he serve men, not women. Of course, if she wants to get down and dirty with him, he’ll gladly oblige.
Let the battle of the sexes begin. Before long, their differences fall away as they indulge in every lusty desire, while falling hard and fast. Ah, paradise. Until trouble arrives, threatening to pull them apart forever…

QUICK

Do you write more than one genre?
Yes
If so, what are they?…
Erotic, erotica, contemporary, historical, paranormal, scifi, suspense, romantic comedy (romcom), urban fantasy
How do you come up with ideas
?…
Honestly, they just pop into my head. I see scenes, like in a movie, and then my ideas start flowing around a plot. Sometimes, I think ‘what if…’ Such as, what if paranormal creatures needed a makeover service as much as humans so the paras could snag a date?
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
Thinking. Imagining. Envisioning. If I don’t see it in my head first, it doesn’t come out well on the page.
When did you write your first book
?…
I was nine. I called it ‘Dimples the Adventurous Flea’ about a flea that hopped from dog to dog (French poodle to English bulldog to Irish settler) in order to ‘see the world’.

FUN

Leather or lace? LOL – both. I can’t choose.
Black or red? OMG – again, both.
Satin sheets or smooth cotton? Smooth cotton. I’ve had the satin and kept sliding on it.
Ocean or mountains? Mountains
City life or country life? Country
Party life or evening at home? Evening at home
Dogs or cats? I love both, but cats – wow – adore those babies.

Only a Good Man Will Do by Dee S Knight @DeeSKnight #RLFblog #Romance #WritingCommunity @BookClubPro1 Dee S Knight, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

Only a Good Man Will Do by Dee S Knight

Genre Erotic romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Seriously ambitious man seeks woman to encourage his goals, support his (hopeful) position as Headmaster of Westover Academy, and be purer than Caesar’s wife. Good luck with that!
Daniel Goodman is a man on a mission. He aims to become headmaster of Westover Academy. For that he needs a particular, special woman to help him set high standards. Into his cut and dried life of moral and upright behavior, comes Eve Star, formerly one of Europe’s foremost exotic dancers. Her life is anything but cut and dried, black and white. Daniel is drawn to her like a kid to chocolate. Nothing good can come of this attraction. Or can it? He is after all, a good man.
What’s your favorite hashtag to watch on Twitter?
@GBPDaily
It’s not that I’m the world’s greatest Green Bay Packers fan, and by that I mean I don’t really know diddly about football in general, but I like Green Bay. I like that the fans own the team and how loyal they are. And we lived outside Green Bay for a while and I love the area. Actually, I am interested in most of the teams that represent the areas where (or near where) we’ve lived. So that includes Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, and Carolina Panthers. So see? My “fanship” is spread out quite a bit. There is one exception to the “root for the home team” rule, but I’m not saying what it is.
Describe the perfect vacation.
First and foremost, being with my honey. Doing anything and being anywhere is a vacation if we’re together. But it’s fun if we’re somewhere new, where there are things to see but comfortable places to return to, also. We’re of an age where an afternoon nap is fun, so we don’t go where the action is non-stop anymore. We like theatre and museums and such, not theme parks. Flying anywhere is too much hassle, so we tend to go places where we can drive. Old truckers never lose the driving bug!
Tell us about your favorite toy as a child.
I had a little stuffed monkey, light brown with a hard face. He was on a stretch of elastic and I dragged him around everywhere! My mom still has him.
What are your hobbies?
Reading is the best hobby of all! I used to do counted cross stitch and some crewel work, but then writing and working seemed to take up most of my time.
What kinds of things do you read when you’re researching a new book?
I’ve collected travel magazines and points of interest brochures from places we’ve traveled over the years and use them for reference, along with maps. And of course, I use all kinds of sources on the Internet, including Wikipedia and travel sites. Since we traveled so much while trucking, I draw a lot on personal experience for locations, but for things like city size and street names and such, I go to their pages online.

A few years ago, Dee S Knight began writing, making getting up in the morning fun. During the day, her characters killed people, fell in love, became drunk with power, or sober with responsibility. And they had sex, lots of sex. Writing was so much fun Dee decided to keep at it. That’s how she spends her days. Her nights? Well, she’s lucky that her dream man, childhood sweetheart, and long-time hubby are all the same guy, and nights are their secret. Moonlight Match by Kristina Knight @AuthorKristina #RLFblog #sweetromanceWelcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

Moonlight Match by Kristina Knight

Genre: Sweet romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG
Aster Harrington believes in love but love doesn’t seem to believe in her. She’s hoping Goldie and Ginny, the matchmakers who’ve matched on two generations of Harringtons, can work a little love magic for her…
Some call Ethan Talbot rigid, but he prefers to think of himself as prepared. Unfortunately, when he’s matched with Aster Harrington at Joy Island’s Matchmaking Week, all those carefully prepared plans go out the window. He can get back to finding a suitable wife once he’s home in New York. After all, how much damage can one week in the Bahamas do to his plans?

QUICK

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?…
Yes! I write contemporary romance and women’s fiction, although I’m still awaiting a publication date on my first women’s fiction novel!
How do you come up with ideas?…
Ideas come to me all the time – I’ll overhear a bit of a conversation, or people-watching at the mall will make me wonder, or a movie…ideas are everywhere, we just have to look for them!
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
Getting that first draft down. I’m a big believer in “you can’t edit a blank page” and there are times, in every first draft, when I just don’t want to. I’m stuck or I’m not connecting with the characters or…heck, it’s a beautiful, sunshiney day after a long, gray winter…those are the days that I just have to push through because if I don’t get the draft down then I can’t make it pretty – and publishable!
When did you write your first book?…
I’ve been writing stories as long as I can remember. My first attempt at an actual book was in 6th grade – I wrote a girl-power, Three Musketeers story. It was so much fun, and probably completely awful (I lost it, boo!), but it definitely made me want to write more.

FUN

Leather or lace? – lace, leather makes you sweaty!
Black or red? – black, the better to blend!
Satin sheets or smooth cotton? – the smoothest of cotton
Ocean or mountains? – Ocean. Most of the time.
City life or country life? – Country – but close enough to the city for a night out!
Party life or evening at home? – Evening at home, for sure!
Dogs or cats? – DOGS!!!!!!!
