Read the series: Love Without Reservations by Gabbi Grey @gabbigrey #RLFblog #SmallTownRomance
Visit the small town of Cataluma, CA where the Strawberry Festival is the event of the year and the business owners in the downtown shopping district are friendly, knowledgeable, and surprisingly, all single.
The Shopping for Love in Cataluma shared world contains stories ranging from sweet to steamy. Look for the heat level indicator on the book cover and in the subtitle. The books can be read as standalones, by preferred heat level and subject, or in any order the reader chooses.
Gabbi Grey, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your series.
Love Without Reservations: A Grumpy/Sunshine Gay Romance in the Shopping for Love in Cataluma
Genre contemporary small-town romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): adultNoel
I’ve tracked down my wayward sister to Cataluma, California, and my goal is to drag her back to Canada before she gets in trouble with the American authorities. The problem? She’s gone and fallen in love with some dude and refuses to come home. I need to stick around to talk some sense into her, but there’s only one damned inn in this podunk town and they insist they’re full. I can’t get the handsome innkeeper to make an exception, not even for the few days I’ll need to get Kendra safely headed back across the border.
Aaron
I love my job as the owner of the quaint Cataluma Inn. I also pride myself in being a peacemaker. When I find squawking siblings arguing about a good friend of mine at our traditional barbecue, I have to step in. Next thing I know, I’m offering to share my one-bedroom apartment with a very attractive Canadian. Oh, and he’s gay too…
Love Without Reservations is s story in the Shopping for Love in Cataluma series. The book is a 38k word small-town gay interracial romance novella with a grumpy Canadian entrepreneur, a sunshine American motorcycle rider, and the love they never saw coming.
Which book is this in the series?
Love Without Reservations is the last book in the multi-author series, Shopping for Love in Cataluma.
How many books do you plan for the series?
As a group of romance authors, we planned for the six books as a complete series.
How many books are completed?
All six are now published.
What characters are the main stars in your series?
Each book features a different couple. The books range from sweet through to steamy. My book is the only gay romance.
What is the overall theme in this series?
Cataluma is a fictional town in California. As a group of authors, we tend to write small-town romances. We have second chance, enemies to lovers, grumpy/sunshine…we’ve tried a bunch of tropes for this series.
Please list the series titles below, in any order you prefer.
Inking the Deal by Roxie Clarke (Sweet Cataluma)
Something of Note by Jeanine Lauren (Sweet Cataluma)
Entangled in Love by Katrina Litwin (Sweet Cataluma)
Book, Line, & Tinker by MaryAnn Clarke (Steamy Cataluma)
High on Love by Gabbi Powell (Steamy Cataluma)
Love Without Reservations (Steamy Cataluma)What did you like best about writing this series?
I’ve done several shared world books before. Writing is such a solitary pursuit that any time I can inject a bit of comradery, I leap at the chance. I belong to a marketing group where we share tips, tricks, ideas, and are generally super supportive of each other. I don’t even remember who made the suggestion, but about a year ago we started talking about doing a project together. Twelve months later, we managed to publish all six books.
What other books (not in this series, have you written?)
Wow, I’ll keep it quick. For the shared world Single Dads of Gaynor Beach series, I wrote Hugh as well as Anthony. My third book in the series, Xavier, is coming out in September. In my own series, Love in Mission City, I’ve written, Ginger Snapping All the Way, Stanley’s Christmas Redemption, Page Against the Machine, and several others including the free short story Marcus’s Cadence.

Read Nario the new #SciFi #Romance by Veronica Scott @vscotttheauthor #RLFblog
A genetically engineered Badari Warrior finds himself on a one way trip to the home world of his enemies in Veronica Scott’s Nario. Will he be able to keep his human fated mate safe and get them home again when everyone on the planet is against them?
Veronica, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Nario: A Badari Warriors Scifi Romance Novel.
Nario by Veronica Scott
Genre SciFi Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG13+What starts out as a simple mission to rescue a group of lost humans turns into a nightmare for pack enforcer Nario, as he’s captured by the enemy scientists and plunged into an unprecedented journey to their home world for unknown experiments.
No Badari has ever been to the Khagrish planet but Nario vows to find a way to save himself and the others taken with him. The situation takes on additional urgency when he realizes one of the human women in the group is his fated mate.
Aliana Ridley was a historian in the Sectors, traveling from world to world to record significant events when she was abducted by enemy aliens and destined to become a subject in unimaginable experiments. Now she has to rely on this fearsome, genetically engineered soldier to help her escape their captors and find a way home. She agrees to pretend to be his mate to fool the scientists but soon finds herself experiencing emotions she never expected to have with a man who’s handsome but not human.
Will Nario find a way to escape the enemy’s grasp and get them all safely back to the Badari planet?
Author’s Note: This is a complete story for the two main characters, ending with their HEA. There is a cliffhanger situation unresolved in the book for a pair of secondary characters, which I’ll resolve in the next book in the series.
Why did you write this book?
First, let me say what a pleasure it’s been to visit you here on the RLF Blog over the years! I think my first guest post was about Marooned, back in 2015. But all good things do come to an end and I’m honored to be among the final guests on this wonderful blog. I wrote NARIO because he’s the next Badari Warrior in my award-winning series to have his adventure and romance told, while also advancing the overall series arc a bit. NARIO is the 19th book in the series (which can all be read as standalones if the reader doesn’t mind mild spoilers for earlier books). Pack enforcer Nario first appeared in the book centering on his Alpha JAMOKAN and I just fell in love with him when he appeared. He was like an old friend and I knew he needed a book of his own.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Science fiction romance, although I read a lot of different genres too, from Regency romance to military fiction.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Either Ripley from the movie “Aliens” or Lessa the Weyrleader from Anne McCaffrey’s Dragonrider series. Both strong women who don’t take no for an answer and get things DONE.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m writing the next Badari Warrior book, which is Faine. He was along for the trip in Nario and I had to leave a little bit of a cliffhanger for him and his fated mate (well, okay a big cliffhanger) while wrapping up Nario’s HEA.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
After Faine I’ll probably write a new Star Cruise story. I like to do at least one a year in that series, and then either more Badari Warriors or possibly the start of a new scifi romance series. I do have a novelette coming out in an anthology in September, which features my first ever hero with a tail. That was fun to write. It’s entitled “Breaking the Alien Love Curse” and it’s in the Supra Vellum anthology. I’m always full of ideas and not enough time!

Is It True: By Moonlight by Lisabet Sarai @LisabetSarai #RLFblog #HistoricalFFRomance #Historical #Romance
In Lisabet Sarai’s luscious, lyrical historical romance By Moonlight, Bess risks all loving a gallant outlaw – who happens to be a woman.
Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Let’s play Is It True with today’s guest, Lisabet Sarai. This is a game with yes and no questions. Writers can elaborate on answers as much as they choose.
By Moonlight by Lisabet Sarai
Genre: Historical FF Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): NC-17I’ll come to you by moonlight – though Hell should bar the way.
In her eighteen years on earth, Bess has never traveled more than twenty miles from her Devonshire village. The raven-haired innkeeper’s daughter has little time to dream of adventure as she labors from dawn to dusk to keep her abusive father satisfied.
Then, at the weekly market in Tavistock town, she meets a handsome dandy who claims her with a single stolen kiss. When the gallant gentleman makes a midnight visit to the inn, Bess learns that her new lover is none other than Kit Latour, a notorious French highwayman who has been boldly relieving the local nobility of their valuables. Well-aware of the risk she’s taking, Bess still offers herself to the seductive outlaw. Even Kit’s darkest secrets cannot quench the flames of her love.
Is it true:
this is your first book?
Definitely not. It’s a bit hard to figure out how many books I’ve published over my twenty-two year career, at least partly because many have seen multiple editions. But I’d say it’s close to one hundred if not more.
this book is part of a series?
No
you lost sleep while writing this book?
No – though I dreamed about it.
you did research for this book?
Yes, of course. It’s historical, set in eighteenth century England, a few years before the American revolution. So I had to do research on language, clothing and culture, but even more about geography, since I’m a Yank with limited experience in Britain. Probably the most intensive research efforts involved studying what the port of Bristol was like during that period. I was fortunate to find a painting of one of the quays, which I used as a basis for my description.
some characters in this book are not human? (pets for example)
No. There’s a horse named Delilah, but I wouldn’t call her a character.
this book has more than one genre?
Yes. Well, I’ve never been sure exactly how to determine the boundaries of a genre. However, this book is a lesbian romance, historical, erotic, with a poetic edge and a bit of adventure.
you speak more than one language?
Yes. Two fluently, several more as a novice.
you grew up where you live now?
No. I live in Southeast Asia now. I grew up in New England.
you love to read?
Yes. That’s an understatement. Even now, when I’m ferociously busy with my day job, I’m usually in the middle of several books. When I was a kid, my mom had to force me to stop reading and go out to get some fresh air.
you are never late?
Hmm. Rarely, but not never. Certainly I dislike being late, and try to plan my arrivals accordingly.
you love pizza?
No. I like pizza, but wouldn’t say I love it.
you love sushi?
Yes. I don’t eat it often because I’m worried about freshness and quality, but I recently spent two weeks in Japan and ate sushi and sashimi every chance I could.
you have a pet?
Yes, two cats at the moment. I can’t imagine living without felines.

Lisabet Sarai became addicted to words at an early age. She began reading when she was four. She wrote her first story at five years old and her first poem at seven. Since then, she has written plays, tutorials, scholarly articles, marketing brochures, software specifications, self-help books, press releases, a five-hundred page dissertation, and lots of erotica and erotic romance – over one hundred titles, and counting, in nearly every sub-genre—paranormal, scifi, ménage, BDSM, LGBTQ, and more. Regardless of the genre, every one of her stories illustrates her motto: Imagination is the ultimate aphrodisiac.

Read Raven’s Hollow Spring Magic the new Paranormal Romance by Tena Stetler @TenaStetler #RLFblog#PNR #Mystery #Romance
A mysterious disappearance of a powerful witch has the dragon shifter police chief baffled in Tena Stetler’s new paranormal mystery Raven’s Hollow Spring Magic. Is the ancient jelly bean machine to blame?
Tena, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Raven’s Hollow Spring Magic.
Raven’s Hollow Spring Magic by Tena Stetler
Genre Paranormal Mystery/Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG13Spring is in full bloom in Raven’s Hollow, a small town in the Colorado Rockies with a population of unique townspeople. Blaze, a dragon shifter, and Wynter, a witch, are neck-deep in wedding preparations, when Wynter’s mother, Jade, goes missing after opening her new antique store, and attending the Simon estate sale where she procured an ancient jelly bean machine. Frantic with worry, Blaze and Wynter track her last movements via the store’s ancient, grainy, security footage. What it reveals is nothing short of shocking. As deputy sheriff, it’s Blaze’s responsibility to find his soon-to-be mother-in-law. But at what cost?
Why did you write this book?
I discovered after writing Meringue Snowflake Magic, I wasn’t done or maybe it’s the characters weren’t done with me. While Raven’s Hollow Spring Magic is set in the same town with some of the same characters of Meringue Snowflake Magic, there are new characters, adventures, and a mystery.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Paranormal Romance, Mystery, Suspense, anything with magic.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Breen Kelly from The Awakening by Nora Roberts. First book of the Dragons Heart Legacy a new trilogy of adventure, romance, and magick.
What are you working on at the moment?
The second book in the Mountain Town Mystery Series, currently unnamed. The first book Security Force of Two released March 20, 2023 with great success.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
I believe Raven’s Hollow Spring Magic releases July 10, 2023, after that it’s hard to tell. I’d hoped that the second book in Mountain Town Mysteries would be ready to submit, but alas, the characters are not cooperating, so could be 2024.

Read Behind the Mask the new #Historical Romantic Suspense by Faye Hall @FayeHall79 #RLFblog #Romance Romantic Drama
A tale of two lovers ripped apart by their feuding families in Faye Hall’s new Historical Romantic Suspense Behind the Mask.
Faye, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Behind the Mask.
Behind the Mask by Faye Hall
Genre Historical Romantic Suspense
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): M15+Two lovers are torn from each other by their feuding families.
When Duncan Buchanan and Isobel Porter met at a masquerade ball, they thought they’d found someone to change their distaste for matrimony. When their mothers tore them out of each other’s arms, they found themselves trapped between two feuding families, each matriarch willing to destroy the other, even at the cost of their children’s happiness.
Duncan and Isobel knew nothing of their families’ hatred for each other, nor did they care to become involved with whatever scheming acts of revenge their mothers are planning. Willing to sacrifice everything they have just to be together, they arrange an assignation. Nothing could prepare them for what happened in the churchyard that night though, driving them from town and each other.
Heartbroken by their year of separation, and the rumours about his indiscreet associations, Isobel is hesitant to employ Duncan on her cattle station. Had his mother sent him here to use his seductive charms to take what she felt was owed to her?
Having spent the last year drowning his sorrows in a whiskey bottle, Duncan was confused to discover Isobel was his new employer, eager to involve him in the running of her station. Why would she allow him back into her life after so long? Was this some trick instigated by her mother to ruin his family?
As Duncan and Isobel continue working together, they can no longer ignore the love they once felt for each other, the intense raw emotion again burning so close to the surface. Will their families finally allow them a chance to be together? Or will the two lovers be separated once and for all?
Why did you write this book?
I’ve always loved the story of Romeo & Juliet and my own great-grandparents struggled to stay together through their feuding families. I wanted to explore a similar tale but do my best to give them a HEA.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Historical Romance.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
This is always changing. Right now though it would have to be Phantom from Phantom of the Opera.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m working on a collection of books with scarred main characters and the first of them should hopefully be out about October.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
There are two books with poems and scenes I wrote while I was in high school. They are very raw and not structured but I think it’s about time they get off my computer and into the real world.
There will also be a few new series coming out, all historical and all set in rural Australia.
