Because I love to blend genres and when this one came to me, I couldn’t say no.

This is a trick question…right? I don’t have one favorite BUT I do tend to lean toward paranormals, sci-fi and fantasy books, romance or not.

Why did you write this book?
My other books are about every day, small town characters. I thought it would be fun to write something that put a “regular” woman into the world of untold wealth. How would you react if you suddenly didn’t have to worry about money? Would you stay the same or turn into a money-grabber?
What is your favorite genre to read?
I primarily read romance, but I enjoy all types of it. Time-travel, historical, sweet, Viking, Highlanders, erotic, billionaire – they’re all good!
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I really enjoyed the character of Mark Watney from The Martian. He had a great sense of humor that got him through the worst time I can imagine – being stranded alone on an inhospitable planet that’s basically trying to kill you.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m working on the prequel to Stealing the Billionaire’s Heart, which focuses on Nicolas’ parents and their lives as they were just beginning to accumulate their wealth. It will show him and his siblings as children.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
In addition to the prequel I just mentioned, I’m working on Nicolas’ sibling’s stories, plus I’ve partially written another romance about a country music star and the small town girl he’s been in love with since he was a teen. I was just diagnosed with early stage breast cancer last week, though, so these books might get pushed back a little while I undergo treatment. you lost sleep while writing this book?
No, not really. I actually find writing relaxing and enjoyable.
you did research for this book?
Yes. I am always looking up facts on the internet. The police would find my search history very alarming. Here’s just some of what I’ve looked up: the cost of a hitman, clip capacity for a .45, how to remove bloodstains from wood, great white shark attacks in Puget Sound.
some characters in this book are not human? (pets for example)
Yes. I love dogs, so my characters usually have dogs. In Dead Giveaway, Elijah raises quarter horses on his ranch, so I have horses as characters for the first time.
this book has more than one genre?
Yes. Dead Giveaway is a romantic suspense, but also a western romance.
you speak more than one language?
No, not really. I’ve taken Spanish and French, for all the good it’s done me. On a trip to Paris, it was humiliating that after two years of French I couldn’t make myself understood. C’est la vie.
you grew up where you live now?
Yes, at least in the same area. I work in the city I was born in, which is only ten miles from where I currently live.
you love to read?
Yes, yes, yes! Reading is a life-long passion. I’d rather read than watch a movie, go to a party, or just about anything else. I’m always looking for new authors.
you are never late?
No, but I’m mostly on time.
you love pizza?
Yes, if it’s vegetarian, with pesto instead of red sauce, and thin crust. Which is the exact opposite of the type my husband likes.
you love sushi?
No! I’ve had friends who have insisted on taking me to their favorite sushi place, because I must have tried it at a not-good sushi place. It’s still cold, squishy, and gross.
you have a pet?
No, sadly. 2016 was a horrible year because our beautiful dog died, and our three elderly cats died as well. We have a little pet cemetery in the back yard (we have a huge yard). But today, hubby and I visited a rescue shelter in a quest for our new dog.Where to buy Dead Giveaway

Cyborg Vyken Dark is back on Earth after fighting for eighty years in the Procyon War against the Mesaarkans. He came to help restore order out of chaos in old Chicago USA. Vyken and his four brother cyborgs are all that’s left of their starship crew of three hundred.
He didn’t want the job, but when his old mentor Admiral Carson Gregor asked, Vyken Dark could not refuse. If he could have chosen a man to call father, it would have been Carson Gregor.
Vyken chose the name Dark because the darkness in his soul drove him to kill the enemies of the Federation with a ruthlessness that few natural humans possessed. Sometimes that darkness overwhelmed his humanity and made him weary of his life… Until he came back to Earth and found her.
Why did you write this book?
I wanted to write a science fiction romance.

Science fiction romance.

One that comes to mind is Viktor Mandrake of the Mandrake Company by Ruby Lionsdrake.
What are you working on at the moment? I have three cooking in my mind right now, and they are all science fiction romance.
