G.E. Taylor author of Desperate Decision answers five easy questions
to help readers get to know her better.
    Author Bio
    I became hooked on
reading romance novels during my teen years and my attempt at writing began in
high school. All of my manuscripts were mailed under my bed. Eventually, I
threw out most of them. That was painful especially since I’d hand written them
first, then typed them on my old typewriter.
    In college I majored
in English but ended up with a Master in Social Work and a Master in Education.
    Though I had these
different career paths, I never gave up my passion for writing. Now I’m much
more committed to it and writing full time. I’ve drawn on my years of
practicing social work to give my work authenticity and realism.
    I live in New Jersey
    with my family.
What’s your favorite down-home family style meal?
    Now this
is difficult because I have two all time favorites. The first one is oxtail
with broad beans, rice and peas and ginger beer.  And the other is Jerk Chicken with rice and
peas and ginger beer. Just thinking about them now is making my mouth water.
What is your go-to meal when you
    dine out?
    Without a
doubt seafood Alfredo. I love it!
    Describe the perfect vacation.
    If I had
the financial pocket book to do this, the perfect vacation for me would be to
spend at least six weeks away with my husband on the island of Saint Barths.
love the Caribbean waters, the lovely sandy
beaches, the food and culture. I’d like to enjoy that.
    What are your hobbies?
    My
favorite is reading. I’m absolutely lost if I don’t have a book to read. I like
to bake cakes and decorate them. I’ve done some wedding and birthday cakes
    which turned out pretty well.
    Cooking
is right at the top of my list, so you’ll find me watching Master Chef and
other cooking shows. When I attended college and was invited to a party I would
    run out get
    some
material and a pattern and sew my own dress. Crocheting—I’ve not done much
lately but I do like to make various pieces.
When you read for pleasure, what
kind of books do you choose?
    Romance
or Law. The romance book could be a historical or even contemporary one just as
long as it holds my interest. I enjoy
stories about the law, so I search for John Grisham’s books.

    Allison
North’s flight to freedom is dangerous and desperate. As she scrambles into the
stranger’s car crying “drive,” she prays to God this is not her last day on
earth. Usually not a gambler, this move is high-stake gambling. Bruised,
battered, and with no money, she needs a place to hide and heal until she finds
work as a pastry chef. When the stranger offers her shelter, she takes it even
as fear rushes up her throat and threatens to choke her. Would she live to
    regret her decision?
    Mason
Franklin cannot believe his eyes but, with her urgent cry ringing in his ears,
he presses the gas and the car leaps forward. What had possessed her to do such
a dangerous act? He intends to find out. But no amount of probing loosened her
tongue. Just when he decides to let her go, he accidently sees her bruised
body. Angry that someone did that to her made him want to meet the coward. He
offers her shelter. Under his roof, he discovers she is the pastry chef who
could not only lift his business to the top, but who built up a need in him
that only she can satisfy. The wild passion they share can only lead to one
    conclusion.

    The General’s Wife
Regina Kammer author of The General’s Wife: An American
Revolutionary Tale answers five easy questions to help readers get to know her better.

    Author Bio

Regina Kammer is a librarian, an art historian, and an
award-nominated, best-selling, multi-published writer of erotica and historical
erotic romance. Her short stories and novels make history sexier, whether the
era is Roman, Byzantine, Viking, American Revolution, or Victorian. She’s even
sexed up contemporary settings, Steampunk, and Greco-Roman mythology. She has
been published by Cleis Press, Go Deeper Press, Story Ink, The Naughty Literati, and her own imprint, Viridium Press.
She began writing historical fiction with romantic elements during National
Novel Writing Month 2006, switching to erotica when all her characters suddenly
    demanded to have sex.
    Who is your “book
boyfriend” (that hottie you read about and drool over)?
My book boyfriend is actually a villain. No, I take that
back. He’s a misunderstood antagonist, with a cool demeanor and a complex
psyche. Oh, and a 17th-century Caribbean pirate. He’s Lord Odo Wraxall from Lord Wraxall’s Fancy by Anna Lieff
Saxby, a historical erotic romance (heavy on the erotic, light on the romance)
first issued by Black Lace circa 1996. Odo is a heroic villain, who can charm the
corset off a woman with assurances of sexy fun and sensual adventure.
    Describe the perfect vacation.
Anywhere in Europe with Greco-Roman ruins, old churches, art
and history museums, and an old town center. Then after a day of walking around
and sight-seeing, an evening spent enjoying cocktails.
    What are your hobbies?
Gardening, baking, making jam (with fruit from the garden),
hiking with Misterotica and the dog. One day soon I’ll get back to making mosaics.
    When you read for pleasure,
what kind of books do you choose?
Romance! I prefer historical romance, but I’ll read any
sub-genre. I also like to thumb through home and garden magazines.
    What kinds of things do
you read when you’re researching a new book?
If I’m writing a historical, I’ll read a novel written in
the era in which my book is set. So, I might read Victorian erotica if I’m
writing a Victorian-set erotic romance. I’ll read current historical
non-fiction, and also historical accounts written around the time my story
takes place. I’ll also look at newspapers and almanacs of the day. If my
characters travel, I’ll check out Baedekers and transportation timetables.
Plus, of course, the Oxford English Dictionary. I can get lost in that!

Heather Boyd author of Miss Merton’s Last Hope answers five
easy questions to help readers get to know her better.
    Author Bio
Bestselling historical author Heather Boyd believes every
character she creates deserves their own happily-ever-after, no matter how much
trouble she puts them through. With that goal in mind, she writes sizzling
regency romance stories that skirt the boundaries of propriety to keep readers
enthralled until the wee hours of the morning. Heather has published over twenty
novels and shorter works. Catch her latest news      www.heather-boyd.com. She lives north of
Sydney, Australia, and does her best to wrangle her testosterone-fuelled family
    (including cat Morpheus) into submission.
    What’s your favorite
    down-home family style meal?
Do you mean as comfort food? That would be Spaghetti
Bolognaise every time. We’re not Italian but it hits the spot.
    What is your go-to
    meal when you dine out?
Always something I can’t or won’t create myself. I love
Chicken Hokien Noodles but have never attempted to make them at home. It’s
safer for all concerned that I don’t have too many spices. :D
    Describe the perfect
    vacation.
    Tomorrow? Please.
    Tell us about your
    favorite toy as a child.
My pushbike. I grew up on a farm and hated having to walk
down the paddocks to call dad up for afternoon tea. So I rode down to the sheep
tracks, yelled out to him, and then rode back up the hill.
    What kinds of things
do you read when you’re researching a new book?
Any publication printed in England from around 1810 to 1820.
The last book I read was The Complete Dog Fanciers Companion of 1819. Riveting
    stuff!
    About the Book
    Title Miss Merton’s Last Hope
    Genre Historical Romance
    Author Heather Boyd
Book heat level (based on movie ratings):Mature Audience
Over the years, Melanie Merton has used every trick and ruse
to repel overeager gentlemen callers without ever revealing the real reason she
won’t say yes to an offer of marriage. When neighbor Walter George jumps to her
defense against slurs cast by suitor number twelve, he also pries into her past—uncovering
the circumstances around a tragic loss in her childhood and her aversion to
being touched by anyone. But even protective Walter must be kept at a distance
for his own good, because despite a growing attraction between them, Melanie
    must deny him too.
Unlike other men his age in Brighton, Walter George hadn’t
considered Melanie Merton for a wife because he was convinced he’d never have a
chance to impress his haughty neighbor. But that was before he understood her
better, before he uncovered why she kept friends and suitors alike at bay. The
right husband could restore the woman he sees into some semblance of the
fun-loving child of his memory, but would Walter stand a chance or become just
    another unlucky suitor?

Candy J Starr author of Rock You @candyjstarr #RLFblog #NewAdult

Candy J Starr author of Rock You answers five easy questions
to help readers get to know her better.

    Author Bio

    Candy J. Starr used to
be a band manager until she realised that the band she managed was so lacking
in charisma that they actually sucked the charisma out of any room they played.
“Screw you,” she said, leaving them to wallow in obscurity – totally forgetting
that they owed her big bucks for video equipment hire.
    Candy has filmed and
interviewed some big names in the rock business, and a lot of small ones. She’s
seen the dirty little secrets that go on in the back rooms of band venues. She’s
seen the ugly side of rock and the very pretty one.
    But, of course,
    everything she writes is fiction.
    What’s your favorite down-home
    family style meal?
I’ve got a recipe of a casserole my mum used to make with
macaroni, tomato soup, minced meat, pineapple and cheese all cooked up
    together. So simple yet delicious.
    What is your go-to meal
    when you dine out?
I’m pretty adventurous when I dine out and like to try new
things but lasagna is always a favorite.
    Describe the perfect vacation.
I have no fixed address at the moment and am always
travelling so vacations don’t really exist for me. I always think my perfect
vacation is a tropic beach holiday but then I remember I hate the sun! Really,
anything involving animals would be fantastic.
    Tell us about your
    favorite toy as a child.
I had a ride on tractor that I loved. I think, because my
granddad was a farmer and he’d let me ride on the tractor with him, I thought I
was pretty cool having a tractor of my own.
    When you read for pleasure,
what kind of books do you choose?
I read widely. I love reading romance but I can be super
critical in my reading and sometimes it feels more like research than pleasure.
I do love historical fiction especially if I’m learning something while
    enjoying a good story.

only with each other. The sanctuary they have built is enough for Ruby — the

Andrea R. Cooper author of Viking Fire @andreaRcooper #RLFblog #historical romance

Andrea R. Cooper author of Viking Fire answers five easy questions
to help readers get to know her better.

    Author Bio

Andrea has always created characters and stories. But it
wasn’t until she was in her late twenties that she started writing novels.
What happened that ignited the writing flame in her
fingers? Divorced, and disillusioned by love songs and stories. They
exaggerate. She thought. Love and Romance are not like that in the real world.
Then she met her husband and realized, yes love and romance are exactly like
the songs and stories say. She is now a happy wife, and a mom to three kids.
She believes in the power of change and counting each
moment as a blessing. But most importantly, she believes in love.
    What is your go-to meal
    when you dine out?
Tex-Mex. I love the cheese, spiciness, and variety of
Tex-Mex food. Nowhere else has food like ours in Texas. (ex. I won’t mention
the state, but when queso was ordered, it was a can of cheese soup   :P)
    Describe the perfect vacation.
Is there such a thing for a family? LOL. For me, a perfect
vacation would be one where the kids have a great time, don’t whine, sleep in,
and my husband and I can relax. We’re saving up for a Disney cruise – so maybe
    in about five years J
    Tell us about your
    favorite toy as a child.
Barbies. Not so much for the wardrobe, house, or cars
(though they were cool), but I created stories and characters with them. I had
soap operas and family sagas galore.
    What are your hobbies?
Besides writing, I love Zumba, dancing, reading, and
catching up on my favorite shows: Game of Thrones, Reign, Vikings, Vampire
Diaries, The Originals, I Zombi, Lost Girl, etc.
    When you read for pleasure,
what kind of books do you choose?
The same genres I write: fantasy, paranormal, historical
romance, romantic suspense. I’m also a member of several book clubs, and they
make me read novels I would never choose for myself, but expand my horizons and
    lead to great discussions.
