Stuart, Bachelors and Babies (#10) by Caroline Clemmons

    Genre western historical romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG

He is building for the future…

    She is escaping the past…

    Trouble could destroy their family

Stuart McGee needs the bounty from capturing the two men he’s trailing. That reward will allow him to buy the ranch of his dreams. When he encounters the men, he learns they’ve killed a young couple. The big surprise is there’s a baby in their cabin. What is Stuart supposed to do with a baby girl?

Georgina Potter has to get away from home. Her family treats her as a screw-up. She is determined to prove them wrong. Starting over as a mail-order bride might not be the best way but it’s the only way she can get away from her family. When she arrives she learns her groom has married someone else. What is she going to do with no money, no groom, and nowhere to stay?

When Georgina and Stuart marry, neither is convinced it’s the right choice. Baby Adeline captures the affection of both. Can working together as parents ignite romance for Georgina and Stuart? When trouble comes, will their fledgling relationship disintegrate or become stronger?

Why did you write this book?

I was invited by Charlene Raddon to be a part of the multi-author project Bachelors and Babies. The premise is a bachelor in some way finds or is responsible for a baby for whom he is unprepared. That immediately put an idea in my mind and I was eager to participate. I’m so glad I did because I enjoyed writing this book. I think it’s the best I’ve written in a while. The heroine has “incidents” I had fun creating. Beta readers have said it’s their favorite.

What is your favorite genre to read?

Western historical but I read everything except horror, true crime, erotica, or sci-fi

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

Taylor Stapleton from Prince Charming by Julie Garwood.

What are you working on at the moment?

Another fun project, Polka With Pauline, one of the Matchmaker’s Ball series books. I really enjoy these multi-author projects (MAP). They force me to stretch myself and I’ve been surprised at how much I’ve benefitted from the experience.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

I have a busy year planned. After Polka With Pauline in March, Mail-Order Victoria will release in April followed by a novella a month through December.

Through a crazy twist of fate, Caroline Clemmons was not born on a Texas ranch. To compensate for this illogical error, she writes about handsome cowboys, feisty ranch women, and scheming villains in a tiny office her family calls her pink cave. She and her Hero live in North Central Texas cowboy country where they ride herd on their dog and two rescued indoor cats as well as providing nourishment outdoors for squirrels, birds, and other critters.
The over fifty titles she has created in her pink cave have made her an Amazon bestselling author and won several awards. She writes sweet to sensual romances about the West, both historical and contemporary as well as time travel and mystery. Her series include the Kincaids, McClintocks, Stone Mountain Texas, Bride Brigade, Texas Time Travel, Texas Caprock Tales, Loving A Rancher, and Pearson Grove as well as numerous single titles and contributions to multi-author sets. When she’s not writing, she loves spending time with her family, reading her friends’ books, lunching with friends, browsing antique malls, checking Facebook, and taking the occasional nap.

Always on My Mind by Andrea Downing

    Genre Vintage Western Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG-13

1972 – Vietnam, the pill, upheaval, hippies. Wyoming rancher Cooper Byrnes, deeply attached to the land and his way of life, surprises everyone when he falls for vagabond hippie Cassie Halliday. Fascinated and baffled, he cannot comprehend his attraction—or say the words she wants to hear. Cassie finds Coop intriguingly different. As she keeps house for him and warms his bed at night, she admits to herself she loves him but she misinterprets Coop’s inability to express his feelings. Parted, each continues to think of the other, but how can either of them reach out to say, “You were ‘always on my mind’?”

Why did you write this book?

I learned that there had actually been a bust-up between ranchers and hippies at my local dancehall in Wilson, WY, in the seventies. You really can’t get two more disparate groups—ranchers with their attachment to the land, their feeling for the generations that have worked it before them, and then hippies who are mostly freewheeling and care-free, unattached to anything pretty much. I just had to think, what if?

What is your favorite genre to read?

I read a lot of women’s lit. and literary fiction. I’m afraid to read too much romance in case I steal someone’s idea, although really, there are only so many tropes for romance.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

So difficult Kayelle! But there are characters in a literary romance, I’ll call it, Midnight Cactus by Bella Pollen, and I got very involved with them.

What are you working on at the moment?

I’m thinking and promoting and haven’t started another book. I just sent in a new mss. to my editor so I’ll have my hands full for a while between that and promoting this one, but that’s not to say I don’t have ideas on the bubble.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

Hopefully, the historical western romance I just sent into my editor. It’s about a lady doctor and a former gunslinger trying to hang up his guns until he learns that his family have been murdered.

Read the new White House Wedding by Seelie Kay @SeelieKay #RLFblog #NewRelease #ContemporaryRomance

Read the new White House Wedding by Seelie Kay @SeelieKay #RLFblog #NewRelease #ContemporaryRomanceSeelie Kay, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

The White House Wedding by Seelie Kay

    Genre Contemporary Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

When politics interferes with love, can love survive?

Getting married isn’t easy when your father’s the President of the United States! After reluctantly agreeing to a White House wedding, Sarah Lee Pearson, the president’s daughter, finds herself swept into a political maelstrom of unimagined proportions.

The White House staff and the first lady see the wedding as a political event, a way to sweep the president into his next term. Congress is complaining about the collateral costs. The media is delightfully rehashing every aspect of Sarah’s life, even those events that have nothing to do with the impending marriage. And the American public? Visions of an American royal wedding have swept them into a frenzy and vendors take advantage, making a quick buck off of everything from limited edition t-shirts to commemorative teacups.

Sarah and her fiancé, Sam, fight hard to ignore the craziness, but after learning a bounty has been put on their heads by an anti-government militia group, they have to decide whether a White House wedding is indeed worth it. And given all the hurtful controversy, perhaps a better solution is to not get married at all.

Why did you write this book?

It was a bit of a romp, really. I wanted to play off all the craziness that is politics and Washington, D.C. The creatures in the great swamp have become so predictable, a story about the political implications and hijinks of a White House wedding just flowed from my pen. Plus, I always found it interesting that a country that intentionally broke away from the monarchy, goes crazy over royal weddings. Admittedly, I am one of them. I won’t get up at 4 a.m. to watch, like so many of my friends, but I will tape a royal wedding and watch it later. And yes, I did seek teacups from Diana’s nuptials. Unfortunately, none were to be found. At least stateside. I imagine once she dumped Prince Charles, their value went up dramatically! Unfortunately, White House weddings are rare and although we go crazy over royal weddings, I doubt things would proceed so smoothly here. Every aspect of the wedding would be dissected and criticized by the media and political opponents, making the wedding itself a pretty negative experience, which is probably so few occur here.

What is your favorite genre to read?

I love mysteries and suspense, and obviously, I love romance!

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

    Miss Marple.

What are you working on at the moment?

I’m working on the fifth book in my Feisty Lawyers Series tentatively called the Martimus Project. It involves disappearing socialites, private prisons, and a deep sea habitat that uses prison labor! I’m also working on a new series that features a flamboyant attorney who is also a vampire!

What books will we see from you in coming months?

The Martimus Project. Possibly the first book in my new series.

Sweeter Than Chocolate: Valentine's Day Anthology by Carly Carson @Carly_Carson #RLFblog #NewRelease #Contemporary RomanceCarly Carson, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

Sweeter Than Chocolate: Valentine’s Day Anthology by Carly Carson, et. al

    Contemporary Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

Sweeter than chocolate and hotter than your heart’s desire.

Celebrate the day of love with sixteen sweet and spicy stories from some of your favorite USA Today and Amazon Bestselling Authors. Brimming with love, passion, and angst, this anthology will satisfy your sweet tooth, set your heart on fire, and leave you yearning for more.

So tear into your favorite box of Valentine’s Day chocolates, pour a glass of wine, and start reading for some decadent, melt-in-your-mouth Valentine-themed romances.

Why did you write this book?

I had already started a series about British dukes. I’ve always been interested in marginalized people, and how they retain their cultures, so I knew I wanted to incorporate the Romany people, which required me to move the story to Europe. Then I love to ski, so I thought it would be fun to include a bit of that sport. And voila! Royal Masquerade (my story in this anthology) was born.

What is your favorite genre to read?

I read almost every romance genre, but my favorites are contemporary, military, and romantic suspense.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

I would have to say Aragorn, from Lord of the Rings, because I do love heroic figures!

What are you working on at the moment?

I’m working on another book in my series about British dukes, the Duke of Renfren. When all you have is a noble title…

You just might need your adolescent crush and next-door neighbor, Lady Sarah Devonwood, to shake up your world and teach you what’s important in life.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

I have another story in my British Dukes series well underway. Please look for the Duke of Coventry.
Ariel struggles to support herself making pastries in a small English town. At night, she dances alone under the stars. The heir to an impoverished dukedom could easily fall in love with the mysterious dancing nymph, but he needs to marry the Lady Godiva movie star currently making a movie at his castle.

Read the suspenseful Deadly Homecoming by Lorelei Confer @loreleiconfer #RLFblog #RomanticSuspenseLorelei Confer, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

    Deadly Homecoming by Lorelei Confer

    Genre romantic suspense

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

Madelyn (Maddy) returns home to arrange her mother’s funeral and has to face her biggest fear; her ex who broke her heart, but in oh so many more ways than one.

Garrett, her close childhood friend and FBI agent assigned to the human trafficking task force, gave his heart to her years ago and wants no other woman.

Does he have a second chance, or will her ex steal her from him again?

Why did you write this book?

This is the 5th book in the Deadly series and it carries a message, like all the other books in the series about awareness of human sex trafficking. So when I learned about Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) I wanted to share this message or knowledge with everyone. So many people and organizations have come forward to fight toward the eradification of human trafficking and I want everyone to know and be aware.

What is your favorite genre to read?

    Romantic Suspense and Mild Thrillers

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

Sam Elliott in the Christmas movie: “Prancer.”

What are you working on at the moment?

Oh, gee! I’m setting up a lot of promo. I have 4-5 books planned for release this year (see below). I also have two more in the Deadly series in various stages of writing and editing, etc. and then one more in the Saddle Creek series I’d like to finish to release in 2021. I’m also reintroducing the Deadly and Saddle Creek series with fresh covers so there will be a much needed change (I think) in the overall look. I’ve been working on another book as well that is not a part of either series, I hope to finish this year as well.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

Deadly Homecoming on preorder now and will be released February 18th, 2020.

A Cowboy’s Sweet Spot releasing April 14th as part of the Romances on the Range 2020 Anthology, a Deadly series book that’s with my editor will release mid summer, Moonlight Kisses and MugShots, in the Saddle Creek series is planned to release on or about Sep 2020, and then another Saddle Creek Christmas Romance 2 will come out in early November.

Don’t Drop the Baby (Dr. Brogan Corkie Matchmaking Doctor, Book 1) by Linda O’Connor @LindaOConnor98 #RLFblog #medical #romanticcomedy

Linda O’Connor, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

Don’t Drop the Baby (Dr. Brogan Corkie Matchmaking Doctor, Book 1) by Linda O’Connor

    Genre Medical Romantic Comedy

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG

Dr. Brogan Corkie is happily semi-retired from medicine and now has time for other hobbies. Her passion for food is only second to her skill at matchmaking!

Ross Skye, owner of BabyCare, a high-end line of baby merchandise, is injured in an accident, and Brogan uses her cooking, medical – and matchmaking – skills to help him out. Dr. Lauren Ross is taking care of her nephew for two weeks, and Brogan agrees to babysit while Lauren is at work.

Two years ago, Ross and Lauren dated. At that time, Lauren wanted kids, but Ross wasn’t keen. Now the tables have turned, and Ross is trying to convince Lauren that they’d make an awesome parenting team. Brogan suggests they test drive parenthood by looking after a simulated baby for a week – a computerized version that eats, sleeps, wets, and cries. Ross and Lauren experience the “joy” of having a newborn firsthand, and the bar is set pretty low. Their first goal is: don’t drop the baby. The second goal is to find out if their love for each other will survive the test of…parenting.

Why did you write this book?

I thought it would be fun to write a romantic comedy series about a retired doctor who upgrades her M.D. from Medical Doctor to Matchmaking Doctor. Dr. Brogan Corkie brings couples together and gives them a nudge in the right romantic direction. A second romance overarching through all the books is Brogan’s romance. She practices what she preaches.

What is your favorite genre to read?

I love reading romantic comedies, romance in general, and cozy mysteries.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

My favourite fictional character is Andy Carpenter, a reluctant lawyer who helps solve mysteries in the Andy Carpenter series by David Rosenfelt. He’s brilliant and funny (as is the author!).

What are you working on at the moment?

I’m editing the third book and writing the fourth book of the Dr. Brogan Corkie Matchmaking Doctor series. It’s a Christmas romantic comedy!

What books will we see from you in coming months?

I’ll be releasing Don’t Forget the Dog, Book 2 in May 2020 and Don’t Unravel the Past, Book 3 of the Dr. Brogan Corkie Matchmaking Doctor series in August 2020. And look for Book 4, a Christmas romance, in November. Can’t wait!
