Just A Little Wicked by Lily Luchesi @LilyLuchesi #RLFblog #NewRelease #FantasyLily Luchesi, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Just A Little Wicked.

Just A Little Wicked by Lily Luchesi

Genre Fantasy

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): G

Morgana Le Fay, known as the Princess of Poison, wants nothing more than to graduate school and become a potioneer, alongside her love, Guinevere.

When Camelot’s king, Uther Pendragon, is poisoned to death, his son Arthur gives the Coven an ultimatum: renounce magic and join Camelot, or die.

Now split between traitors and witches, Morgan must figure out how to stop the teenage king from destroying her home, especially since he now has Guinevere and Merlin at his side.

Why did you write this book?

I started the boxed set Just A Little Wicked in order to have a place for my novella, Morgana’s Revenge. Initially, I wrote The Coven Princess, finalizing it in 2017, and in the book, I mention Morgan Le Fay and a poison she discovered in my world, and ever since I wanted to write an Arthurian story.
The more time went by, the more the characters screamed in my ears, coming out and telling me about themselves. It went from “oh, this would be cool,” to “I want to hug these people and protect them with my life.”

What is your favorite genre to read?

I love horror and urban fantasy, as well as thrillers. UF is my primary genre, but I also adore PNR and high fantasy. In fact, I am waiting on a new paperback of all 3 Lord of the Rings novels as one omnibus because my copy fell apart.
I basically love anything that doesn’t have humans in it; any subgenre will do.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

Raven Madison, from Ellen Schreiber’s Vampire Kisses series. When I was a little girl, reading vampire novels like they would fill me up and allow me to live, I loved Raven the most because she was so much like me. She dressed like me, had the same favorite bands, same attitude. I wanted to be her so badly, and I still do, even as an adult.

What are you working on at the moment?

I have a few irons in the fire, the first being something for Samantha Calcott, my pen name. But for this name, I’m working on Dead Memories, which will release June 24th in the Summer Bites boxed set.
It’s a prequel to The Paranormal Detectives Series, following protagonist Angelica Cross when she’s a teenager, sent away to a paranormal summer camp in the English countryside. All seems mildly annoying, until campers begin vanishing, turning up with their hearts ripped out.
It’s a mix of Dracula and Friday the 13th.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

There’s the aforementioned Dead Memories, and then in July there will be my brand new series, Paige Papillion’s Paranormal Mysteries. Book one, Daunting Darkness, will be in a boxed set specifically for cozies. It’s a brand new genre for me, and I’m excited. The book is nearly done and I can’t wait to see where the series takes me!

A Date for the Wedding by Evangeline Evans @eevansauthor #RLFblog #NewRelease #ContemporaryRomanceFalling for a heartbreaker was not part of the plan in Evangeline Evans’s new contemporary romance, A Date for the Wedding. Will a sexy fireman be more than Molly bargained for?

Evangeline, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about A Date for the Wedding.

A Date for the Wedding by Evangeline Evans

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

After an accident ends her career in dance, Molly starts over in Lafayette Falls as the owner/instructor of the Infinity School of Dance. When she learns her deceitful ex-boyfriend has been invited to her best friend’s wedding, Molly faces finding a date for the wedding. The last thing she wants in her hectic life is a serious relationship, so she needs a “no strings attached” guy. Enter Travis Shelby, a firefighter and well-known womanizer. She considers him the perfect date for her best friend’s wedding until she realizes she is falling for the heartbreaker and she fears she’ll be burned by love again.

After mourning the death of his fiancée, Travis decides to look for love again. All he wants is to find that one special girl and settle down. Yet his search for Miss Right results in one disappointment after another and earns him a reputation as a player. When he meets Molly, a petite dancer who looks as if she belongs in a fairy tale, he’s love-struck. But can he convince Molly that she is the only girl he loves when his past drives an unforgiving wedge between them?

Why did you write this book?

I started this book in March 2020 when Covid disrupted everything, including ending my job. So for the first time, I got to write full-time. I wanted to write something conflict-light and cute and sexy. I always let the characters have control and Travis and Molly became such a fun, romantic couple. Plus I got to introduce a couple of favorites: Amber, a funny, outspoken hairstylist, and Travis’s complete opposite brother, Cameron, who wandered into the story unplanned. Now he has a book of his own!

What is your favorite genre to read?

I like mainstream/single title contemporary romances, historical romances, especially with a paranormal twist, and suspense thrillers.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

I love Elvis and Joe, the two detectives in Robert Crais’s novels. Awesome!

What are you working on at the moment?

Final polish of Just Right for Him. Plus, I have a number of projects in different stages.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

Just Right for Him, which is Cameron’s book. In May. Other Lafayette Falls titles: The Bluest Eyes in Texas, Not Through Loving You, Everything His Heart Desires.

Read the #PNR Scarlett and the Big Bad by Sierra Brave @BraveSierra #RLFblog #NewRelease #ParanormalRomanceSierra, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Scarlett and the Big Bad.

Scarlett and the Big Bad by Sierra Brave

Sure, thanks for having me! In my adult retelling of Red Riding Hood, the wolf (shifter) gets to be the hero when he rescues his fated mate from a group of sorceresses who mean her harm. He’s determined to keep her safe, but he has secrets of his own that could put her in danger.)

Genre: Paranormal Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

What if Red Riding Hood invited peril, and the big bad wolf was the only hero who could save her?

Promised power and position, Scarlett Capuche left her tiny village to join the prestigious Order of the Phoenix.

Brooding alpha, Monty Blackwolf never wanted a mate, especially not a human raised on a hidden farm for blood-ritual sacrifice. But his werewolf’s heightened sense of smell drew him to Scarlett’s sweet fragrance from miles away.

Duty-bound to protect her, he will break her of her religious devotion to the magical terrorist group responsible for the murders of his parents and older brother, even if he has to put her over his knee and turn her bottom as red as her hair.

She belongs to him now, and he will claim all of her despite his affliction with a unique, third shifter-form he doesn’t fully understand and isn’t able to control.

Will Monty save Scarlett, or will he prove more dangerous to her than anyone else?

Author’s Note: If you’re offended by steamy fairytale retellings with graphic language, explicit put-you-in-the-moment love scenes, elements of power exchange, and domestic discipline, you might want to look for a different book.

Why did you write this book?

I’ve always liked twisted fairytales, and for someone who writes shifter stories, a Red Riding Hood mash-up with the Big Bad Wolf from the Three Little Pigs is a no brainer. Plus, I wanted the wolf to get a chance to be the hero.

What is your favorite genre to read?

I enjoy reading fantasy and paranormal romance.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I like Sookie Stackhouse a lot.

What are you working on at the moment?

I’m writing book two in the Fated Fairytales series, a retelling of Goldilocks called Taming Goldie. I’ve also recently started publishing a serial on the Radish Fiction App, another twisted fairytale based on Alice in Wonderland.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

After Taming Goldie is published, I need to write a follow-up to my last Horse Mountain Shifters book. In Saving Suki, one of the series’s side characters went missing, and that woman needs a rescue and romance.

Playing To Score by Lisabet Sarai @lisabetsarai #RLFblog #NewRelease #GayRomanceCasual sex morphs into something much deeper in Lisabet Sarai’s gay erotic romance Playing to Score. A Scrabble tournament seems an unlikely place to meet one’s soul mate. But then, Matt’s an unlikely sort of guy.

Lisabet, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Playing To Score.

Playing to Score by Lisabet Sarai

Genre Gay BDSM Erotic Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): X-rated (explicit gay sex)

Matt was supposed to be just a hot hook-up. Then he turned on the charm and brought out the bondage gear.

Jason Hofstadter comes to the Four States Annual Scrabble Tournament for two reasons: to play for the trophy and to get laid. Every year since his first, he’s managed to score with one of the other guys attending. He figures that he’s hit the jackpot when he spots handsome, bookish Matt Sawyer, who’s competing at the Four States for the first time.

Shy and seemingly innocent, Matt turns out to be full of surprises. First he jumps Jason in the rest room at Starbucks. Then he reveals that he’s into BDSM and encourages Jason to top him. Finally, despite his lack of experience with tournament play, Matt ends up facing Jason across the board in the semi-final round. When Matt throws the game he should have won, Jason is forced to confront his own feelings: about winning, about casual sex, and about Matt.

Why did you write this book?

Originally, I wrote this novella for a boxed set entitled Gaymes. The publisher envisioned this as a collection of sports-themed MM romances, but honestly I have little interest in football, baseball or most other physical games. When I suggested to the editor that I could write a tale about Scrabble, she expressed some level of disbelief. In a sense, I wrote this story to prove that I could.

I love playing Scrabble myself, so it was easy to identify with Jason’s and Matt’s passion. Their passion for the game, I mean! The characters popped into my head more or less fully formed: Jason, the tournament veteran, focused, self-confident and dismissive of serious relationships; Matt, the newbie, with his nerdy good looks and his secrets. Once I got started, the story wrote itself. However, I’ve revised and expanded it for this release, to highlight the romantic connection between the heroes.

What is your favorite genre to read?

I read many genres, but I’m particularly drawn to science fiction and paranormal stories. I grew up on steady diet of Heinlein, Asimov and Bradbury. Meanwhile, all through my childhood my dad made up original ghost stories to entertain us. It’s not surprising that I love both genres as an adult.

The best scifi I’ve read in the past decade is The Windup Girl by Paolo Baccigalupi. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern might be the most enchanting and moving paranormal novel I’ve ever encountered. I recommend both of them highly.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

That’s another hard question. Possibly Sherlock Holmes. Arthur Conan Doyle’s complete opus has pride of place on my bookshelves. I’ve read it so many times that I feel I know Sherlock personally. Meanwhile, he’s everything a character should be: uniquely fascinating, often admirable, but deeply flawed.

Playing To Score by Lisabet Sarai @lisabetsarai #RLFblog #NewRelease #GayRomance

What are you working on at the moment?

My major WIP right now is The Journeyman’s Trial, the second book in my series “The Toymaker’s Guild”. This is steam punk erotica with some romantic elements, set in an alternative Victorian England. Gillian Smith, the nineteen year old engineering genius who’s my heroine, is one of my favorite creations.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

Aside from The Journeyman’s Trial, I will be republishing a number of romance titles from my back list, including my multi-genre mega-opus Rajasthani Moon. That novel was the result of another personal challenge: how many different romance subgenres could I hit in a single title. It’s a steampunk/ menage/ paranormal/ BDSM/ Bollywood/ Rubenesque spy story!

I’m also planning to put out some boxed sets, including the full Asian Adventures series which will release next month. Most of my work is available in multiple stores, but my boxed sets are Kindle Unlimited.

Read For Eternity by Samantha Calcott @CalcottSamantha #RLFblog #NewRelease #LGBT #PNRA human and a wizard find a mutual connection in Samantha Calcott’s new LGBT paranormal romance, For Eternity. When the vampire war begins, will their love survive?

Samantha, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about For Eternity.

For Eternity by Samantha Calcott

Genre MM PNR

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

After World War Three, the world is scourged by vampires, and the only hope of stopping them lays in the hands of nineteen-year-old Desi Duponce.

He has an idea, but in order for it to come to fruition, he must collaborate with the older wizard Oscar Scott.

Desi didn’t expect his new partner to be so alluringly handsome. In addition to fighting the vampires, Oscar teaches him much more than he expected as he shows Desi the true pleasures of being his submissive.

Why did you write this book?

Originally, I wrote this as a 3k word short story for an anthology, but I wanted more detail in the vampires and while Desi and Oscar were potionmaking, so I rewrote it into a novella length. I was inspired by a different fictional character and my love for him, and wanted to create someone just as attractive and powerful, hence Oscar.

What is your favorite genre to read?

I actually love horror, but dark romance has a special place on my heart. Especially BDSM.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

Mr. Rochester from Jane Eyre. He’s so stoic, sarcastic, and alluring.

What are you working on at the moment?

I am working on Yes, Professor. It’s a coming of age taboo BDSM romance about a college student and her cruel, sexy professor and the things he will put her through to earn a degree.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

Yes, Professor releases May 7th, and I have my first sweet romance, Coffee Shop Christmas, coming in November, in the multi-author boxed set Sugar Plum Kisses.
