Meet Vasili Zima from Drakon's Tear by NJ Walters @njwaltersauthor #RLFblog #PNRLet’s meet Vasili Zima from Drakon’s Tear, a new paranormal romance novel. Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here, Vasili. I’d like to get to know you better. Let’s talk.

    Drakon’s Tear by NJ Walters

    Genre Paranormal Romance/Shapeshifter
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Dying isn’t an option. I’ve survived a kidnapping, and now I’m on the run from the Knights of the Dragon who want my gift. There’s nothing a dragon loves more than treasure. I’m Abigail Owens, and I can sense gemstones. When I find myself drawn to a beautiful stone bracelet at a tiny shop in Moscow, I can’t help but have it — even though I can sense it’s power. But I didn’t realize with this one decision I’ve just put myself in the middle of a war between the Knights and a Drakon.
I guess I’m just lucky like that.
The only person I trust even a little is Vasili Zima, which is weird since I’m not sure if he wants to kill me or protect me. I’m drawn to him in a way I hadn’t thought possible, and he feels the same way, or he wouldn’t be risking his life to help me. He’s wanted by the bad guys just as much as I am, and staying with me, well, there’s a hundred percent chance I’m about to get us both killed. But I will not be going down without a fight.

(Author’s Note: This book is NOT first person point of view.)

    Introducing Vasili Zima

Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. I’d like to get to know you better. Please tell me about yourself.
Age: 4000 years, give or take a few
    Gender: male
Birthplace: I have no idea as I was born to a nomadic tribe in what is now northern Russia.
Profession: I buy and trade in artifacts
Ethnicity: I am half dragon, half human
    Species (for scifi/fantasy characters): I’m a drakon
Please provide a physical description of yourself.
In my human form, I’m 6’10” with light brown hair and pale blue eyes. I have a birthmark tattoo that covers that entire left side of my body from my neck to my ankles. It’s a swirling pattern that is blue and outlined in the same icy blue of my eyes. I also have many tattoos on the right side of my body, but I put those there on purpose.
    Tell us about yourself, please.
I live a quiet, simple life. I buy and trade artifacts, which allows me to discover anything related to drakons while making a profit. I travel, I learn, I make money. And I keep a low profile. The last thing I want to do is attract the attention of my enemies—the Knights of the Dragon.
Who is the significant other in your life?
    My Abigail.
    Are you book-smart, self-taught, widely-experienced?
All of the above. I have taught myself to speak and read many languages and am fluent in some that have long been forgotten. I’ve travelled around the world many times,
observing communities from a distance and sometimes venturing among them. People have changed little over the years. There are greedy, evil people as well as kind and generous ones in all cultures and times.
What is your viewpoint on wealth?
It is better to have it than not. If you’ve lived as long as I have and are not wealthy, then you are wasting your time and skills. Wealth is freedom and a drakon was meant to be free.
Do you care about what others assume about you?
*frowns* I am a drakon. It matters little what others think of me. *pauses*I care what Abigail thinks of me, but no one else.
Can you keep a secret? Why or why not?
Secrets are my life’s blood. I am a living, breathing secret that few believe or even know exist. I have uncovered many secrets in the course of my life and have used them to protect and benefit myself. Why would I share something that might give an adversary an advantage?
    What is your biggest need?
I would have said I had everything I needed. Then I met Abigail and I understood that she was the missing piece in my life.
What is your biggest personal flaw?
*frowns* Abigail might say I’m secretive and possessive. I see those as strengths, not flaws.

Meet Ruhger from Lightwave: Clocker by AM Scott @AM_Scottwrites #RLFblog #SciFi #SpaceOpera

Meet Ruhger from Lightwave: Clocker by AM Scott @AM_Scottwrites #RLFblog #SciFi #SpaceOperaWelcome Captain Ruhger from Lightwave: Clocker a new Space Opera series by AM Scott. Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about the story your author wrote.

    Captain Ruhger of Lightwave: Clocker

    Age: 39 standard years
    Gender: Male
Birthplace: Phalanx Eagle Troop Fold Transport
Profession: Fold Transport and Shuttle Pilot
    Ethnicity: Human mixed
    Species (for scifi/fantasy characters): Human
Please tell us a little about your character.
Captain Ruhger is slightly shorter than the average male, but has extremely wide shoulders and is in extraordinary physical condition. He’s got dark brown hair and eyes, and dark-tan skin, with rather hooked nose and an almost constant glower. He was raised by his parents, officers in Phalanx Eagle, a mercenary company, and grew up as a pilot in the company. His parents mutinied after another faction took over the company and forced them to accept a horribly brutal action that resulted in Saree of Jericho becoming an orphan. His parents formed a fold transport company, but were eventually hunted down by Phalanx Eagle. Captain Ruhger was flying a separate fold transport, so he escaped. They changed the name of the transport to Lightwave and kept flying on the fringes of known space, trying to avoid notice. When they pick up Saree, she’s travelling under an alias as Scholar Cary Sessan, a student of ancient music. They have no idea who she really is.
Who is the significant other in your character’s life?
Ruhger avoids all romantic entanglements, but he’s having a hard time with his attraction to Saree of Jericho.
    How does your hero dress?
Captain Ruhger and his crew wear coverall uniforms, similar to a pilot’s flightsuit. For the formal dinners his Chef insists on hosting, the coveralls have more silver braid and other shiny stuff to make them look fancier.
Does he scrape by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?
Lightwave is always on the edge of bankruptcy. They had to buy better weapons in case of attack, so they own a lot of credits to weapons dealers. The Scholar’s long-term contract along with a couple of others, is allowing them get out of debt finally. But they’re still operating with the constant possibility of failure.
What special skills does your character rely on?
Ruhger is an expert pilot, with extraordinarily fast reaction times and excellent decision making skills. He’s also an expert in y’ga, a combination of martial arts, gymnastics and meditation.
What does he have a knack for doing?
Piloting and keeping his crew safe. He’s also a very good leader, although he doesn’t think so.
Can your hero keep a secret? If not, why not? If yes, why?
Ruhger keeps secrets very well. Lightwave is trying to avoid being found by Phalanx Eagle, so they need to keep all their identities secret if possible.
What is your character’s family like?
Since Ruhger’s blood family has been killed, and most of his crew are in the same situation, Lightwave’s crew is his family. They’re all a little dysfunctional because of the trauma. Chief Bhoher is an older man, a mechanical genius and a bit of a father figure to all of them. Grant Lowe is a charismatic sex addict. Tryon and Katryn Phazeer are the security officers; he’s the strong, silent type, but still very intelligent. Katryn is also smart, but quick-tempered. Chef Loreli is a flamboyant, creative genius, who started life a Loren, a quiet, bookworm-type who was the target of bullies. Ruhger protected him, and Loreli is in love with him now.
What is your character’s biggest need at the beginning of the story?
Ruhger is desperately trying to keep Lightwave flying, so the weapons merchants can’t repossess his ship and leave his family homeless.
What is your hero’s biggest hopes and dreams?
Ruhger wants to keep his family safe and have a little security. Deep down, he’d like to have a family, but he doesn’t think that’s realistic with his background, baggage and current profession.
If your character could make any one thing happen, what would it be?
Ruhger would like someone to destroy Phalanx Eagle, so Lightwave could travel to better markets for passengers.

About Your Writer: Questions for your character to answer about you.

To honor the person who chose to share your story, please answer at least four of these questions. Questions with more than one point should be considered one question. You may answer as many more as you like.
Why do you think your writer chose to write about you?
I think she wanted to show men can be strong and authoritative and still be compassionate and caring. She also wanted to show that emotional trauma can be overcome and people can live quietly heroic lives despite their backgrounds.
What do you wish your writer would write next?
I hope she gets me out of this mess with my family intact. Destroying Phalanx Eagle would be even better.
What other character from your book do you think your writer should write a book about? Care to tell us why?
I think she should write about some of the other passengers. She drops a lot of interesting tidbits, but there’s still a lot of questions about them.

Introducing Melissa Crandall from Naval Maneuvers, by Dee S Knight @DeeSKnight #RLFblog #romance

Let’s meet Melissa Crandall from Naval Maneuvers, an erotic romance, by Dee S Knight. Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about the story your author wrote.

Naval Maneuvers by Dee S Knight

    Genre Erotic romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Men and women of the armed forces experience desire and love pretty much like everyone else. Except, well, there is that uniform. And the hard-to-resist attraction of “duty, honor, service” as a man might apply them to a woman’s pleasure. All things considered, romance among the military is a pretty sexy, compelling force for which you’d better be armed, whether weighing anchor and moving forward into desire, dropping anchor and staying put for passion, or setting a course for renewed love with anchor home.

    Introducing Melissa Crandall

    Please tell me about yourself.
    Age: 33
    Gender: Female
    Birthplace: Jacksonville, NC
    Profession: Doctor
    Ethnicity: Caucasian
    What do you look like?
I’m maybe a little more curvy than fashion dictates. I have auburn hair, shoulder-length and deep green eyes, and I’m relatively tall—around five eight or nine.
Who is the significant other in your life?
I recently met David Stimson and fell hard and fast, despite my usual deliberative personality.
    How do you dress?
I like the classic styles—trouser pants with pleats and a belt when going out casually and soft, collared blouses. I have three distinct little black dresses and almost always wear dresses or skirts when going out for an evening. I enjoy heels because they make me feel feminine (and yes, sexy!) but am just as comfortable in flats. Clothing must be comfortable and I tend towards the flowing, draping types of materials of very good quality.
Please tell us about your education.
I attended undergraduate school at Georgetown but went to University of Virginia for medical school. I also practice here in Charlottesville.
Do you get by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?
I live comfortably but I am not extravagant. I enjoy good clothes and I like attending lectures and seminars on topics like archaeology and history (a must if you live in Virginia!). I own my house, but it’s modest, and though I have a mid-priced car, I usually bicycle to work.
On what special skills do you rely?
My attention to detail, empathy for my patients, and a quick memory. I use these things to give my patients the best care.
Are any of your skills a source of pride or embarrassment, and if so, which ones and why?
Definitely pride. I truly like people and see it as my duty to serve them the best I can.
    What is your family like?
I love my parents very much though I’m closer to my mom then my dad. He was a “lifer” in the Marine Corps, often away while I was growing up. I hated that he loved his job more than Mom or me because it seemed he was always away when we needed him most or wanted him there, like for recitals and plays. I saw my mom as a tower of strength because she held us together when I would have given up. Only recently have I realized how much my dad loved me, too. In fact, since I fell in love with David and then gave him up, I’ve learned a great deal about life, love, and being an adult—and all from my parents.

Meet High Lord Sarc from Blood of the Ruby Throne by Sultry Summers @SultrySummers1 #RLFblog #scifi #romance

Meet High Lord Sarc from Blood of the Ruby Throne by Sultry Summers @SultrySummers1 #RLFblog #scifi #romanceWelcome Lord Sarc from Blood of the Ruby Throne, a new Science Fiction Romance by Sultry Summers.

    Introducing Lord Sarc

    Age:26
    Gender: male
    Birthplace: Planet Alphxorn
Profession: High Lord of Alphxorn and Seti-Cronus
Ethnicity: Native of Alphxorn – third generation descendant of Seti-Cronus
    Species (for scifi/fantasy characters): humanoid
Please provide a physical description of yourself.
I will allow my Lady Zera’s observations to answer this question.
The High Lord of Alphxorn, taller than her by almost a full head, seemed to tower over her. — Sarc’s dark hair showed a hint of auburn accenting his strong, masculine face. The determined and confident set of his firm jaw and chin further indicated the measure of sound character. She gazed a second longer to glimpse past the stern countenance he portrayed. His demeanor suggested a man of courage and honor. Still, a hint of arrogance slipped through.
Please tell us a little about your character.
Lord Sarc was brought up to rule! He swore to his dying father, and again on the assumption of the Throne of Alphxorn, to protect his world. Marauding pirates threatened Seti-Cronus, their civilization’s birth planet and neighbor and Sarc knew his world and rule were next. An honorable lord, he offered marriage to their ruler, Lady Zera. She refused. He had already conquered her world but Sarc allowed her to defend her throne. Defeating her, he offered her a choice of ruling by his side or as his slave. His judge of character, proven right, he and Zera married and she retained her position as High Lady of Seti-Cronus and as a warrior. But Sarc, as a husband, finds her role as a warrior difficult to accept.
Who is the significant other in your character’s life?
Lady Zera. Sarc has known no other like her. Convincing her to join the two worlds garnered his respect but acknowledging her as a fighter forces him to face losing her. Zera quickly became part of him and will challenge his rule and his oaths.
What are the qualities of his voice? (pitch, quality, volume)
Lord Sarc rarely raises his voice, instead, richness and depth command attention. When addressing his court, he pitches his voice to be heard at the back of his throne room without electronic aid. Taught from childhood how to modulate his voice, he can reveal emotion or withhold it. His frigid toned judgement on an adversary has been known to cause them to tremble. Zera knew panic for the first time in her life, when, after their duel he whispered to her his terms of her defeat.
    Is he close to family?
Sarc is extremely close to his younger, nineteen-year-old brother. Aware of his brother’s quick mind and knack for military matters, he often seeks his council.
Does this character see morality as black-and-white, or with shades of gray?
Sarc realizes the nuances of the everyday life of his subjects of his world. However, in his private life he is less sensitive, and tends to expect the same level of honor he holds sacred.
What inner doubt causes your character the most difficulty?
Before meeting Zera, he feared a life without that special person or a soulmate.
What is your character’s biggest need at the beginning of the story?
He is secure in his role as a warrior and in his rule. Love was his concern.
How emotionally expressive is your character to others?
Sarc’s childhood training allows him to withhold showing his emotions or express them in a manner suiting the situation.
Who in his life has the power to hurt this character the most? Why?
Zera. She holds his heart in her palm. In his mind, only dereliction to his duty could hurt him worse than her loss.

About Your Writer: Questions for your character to answer about you.

To honor the person who chose to share your story, please answer at least four of these questions. Questions with more than one point should be considered one question. You may answer as many more as you like.
Why do you think your writer chose to write about you?
I think Lady Zera had a great deal to do with it. She can be persistent and Zera knows we all have more stories to tell. You might enjoy her interview. I’ve included the link
    https://www.rlfblog.com/sultry-summers-0718/
What do you wish your writer had not told others about you?
She could have omitted the scene where I am paraded around the Luithian court almost naked.
What do you wish your writer would write next?
Alphxorn and Seti-Cronus are filled with varied and interesting subjects. Seti-Cronus, our people’s birth world, has history that goes back into the mists of time and is more tolerant by nature. However, Alphxorn has yet to be completely explored. One reason our people migrated here was political, but not entirely. There is great mineral wealth here and room for a culture to grow.
What other character from your book do you think your writer should write a book about? Care to tell us why?
My younger brother Phorx. He hasn’t had the burden of sovereign rule and he is a fearless fighter. A less weighty childhood allows him to be more personable. His adventures scream to be told.

It’s been awhile, about four years, since I last published. I hope those who have, in the past, read my works haven’t forgotten me. Since then I’ve moved a couple of times, have had a few adventures and have finally found home. My husband, daughter, two dogs and several cats, have settled into a cute little bump in the road town in Eastern Tennessee. Our valley is so tucked away in between mountain ridges our cell phones don’t receive necessitating a landline and satellite everything else. I know for sure the rock wall in our backyard, that serves as property divider, is Civil War era. It’s a great place for my wayward imagination. Seriously, I think we have fae frequenting the backyard and at night I expect to see a UFO land in the hayfield I can see out the front bay-windows.
Though I have kept my website up and running, until about a year ago I’ve had a major writer’s block that I managed to move past. I also made the decision to Indie publish. While I do have one book, Tail of the Dragon, which remains with Decadent Publishing, I have withdrawn my other works. Over the next months, I plan to republish them beginning with Blood of the Ruby Throne. The others will follow after I’ve revisited them. With the assistance of a wonderful editor, I have had the pleasure to work with, you will see them re-released. I also have several new works coming, as well as a series I’ve been working on for a long time.
I’ve missed being an active author and I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

Meet Luther Henderson from Drakon Unchained by NJ Walters @njwaltersauthor #RLFblog #PNRLet’s meet Luther Henderson from Drakon Unchained, a new paranormal romance novel by NJ Walters. Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. I’d like to get to know you better. Let’s talk.

About Drakon Unchained by NJ Walters

    Title Drakon Unchained
    Genre Paranormal Romance/Shapeshifter
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Victoria Marshall is living a lie. She works for a member of the Knights of the Dragon, a secret society that traps and uses dragons for their own gain. As a child, she made an unlikely friend—a drakon. He went missing, and she’s spent the past twenty years searching for him. The only thing distracting her from her mission is Luther Henderson, her boss’s new head of security.
Luther is also living a lie. One, if discovered, could lead to a fate worse than death. He’s attracted to Victoria, but can’t fully trust her, doesn’t know if she’s truly innocent or a true member of the Knights. It’s not only his life at stake, but those of the people he loves.

As they’re thrust deeper into the dangerous dealings of the Knights, they each have to share their secrets in order to survive.

    Introducing Luther Henderson

Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. I’d like to get to know you better. Please tell me about yourself.
Age: I’m older than I look
    Gender: male
    Birthplace: Alaska
    Profession: Security Expert
    Ethnicity: Caucasian
    Species (for scifi/fantasy characters): I’m a drakon
Please provide a physical description of yourself.
In my human form, I’m 6’6″ with short blond hair and blue eyes. I have a tattoo that covers the entire left side of my body from my neck to my ankles. It’s a birthmark and is a swirling pattern that is silver and outlined in the same blue as my eyes.
    Tell us about yourself, please.
I’m currently employed as the head of security for a member of the Knights of the Dragon. Their sole purpose is to capture and control dragons (that’s what they call drakons) for the healing power that exists in their blood. My purpose is to infiltrate their organization.
Who is the significant other in your life?
*leans forward aggressively* Why do you want to know about my Victoria?
    How do you dress?
I much prefer jeans and T-shirts, but I’ve worn custom tailored suits for the past few years. Most of the mercenaries who work for my employer wear black combat-style clothing. Over the years, I’ve learned that when I wear a suit, it puts people at ease. They tend to underestimate me, forget I’m dangerous. Which works all the better for me.
    Are you book-smart, self-taught, widely-experienced?
All the above. I’ve always learned whatever I’ve needed to, plus I’ve had a lot of experience in different situations.
Do you get by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?
I’ve worked hard and made my fair share of money. Money gives you power and freedom, things I value. I don’t mind working hard to get what I want. Makes it all the sweeter.
Can you keep a secret? Why or why not?
Can I keep a secret? Baby, my entire life is about keeping secrets. The things I know… Well, if I told you, I’d have to kill you.
What inner doubt causes you the most difficulty?
I try not to have doubts. I prefer to stay focused on my goals, believing I can achieve them. *shakes head* If I’d allowed doubt to creep in, I’m not sure I would have survived, might have given into despair years ago.
    What is your biggest need?
To have everyone I love safe. And make no mistake, I’ll do whatever it takes to make that happen. If the world has to burn… *shrugs* Then it burns.

Meet Tabitha from the Detours in Time series by Pamela Schloesser Canepa, @PamSCanepa1 #RLFblog #scifiWelcome Tabitha, from Detours in Time and Undercurrents in Time, a new Sci-fi, time travel series with a hint of sweet romance.
    Tabitha
    Age: 30
    Gender: Female
    Birthplace: Asheville, NC
Profession: Gallery assistant, art display coordinator
    Ethnicity: German and Swedish
    Species (for scifi/fantasy characters): Human
Please provide a physical description of yourself.
Tabitha, also known as Pinky, is about 5’2, 110 lbs and tans very easily, though not considered dark-skinned. Her hair is always long, a little past the shoulders and could be called brown, with honey highlights.
Please tell us a little about your character.
Tabitha is stubborn, independent, and knows a good thing when she sees it. She hates being told what to do, however, she and Milt, the other main character, have entirely different skillsets. She is a survivor and works very hard, with dreams of being an artist, and formerly, of being a professional dancer. She had once been a student at the Baltimore School of Dance, until an injury led her to instead pursue an Art degree. While pursuing her degree, she worked cleaning university offices at several schools, which is where she met Dr. Milton Braddock.
Who is the significant other in your character’s life?
Dr. Milt Braddock, who was, at one time, her employer but becomes much more.
    How does your heroine dress?
She dresses pretty casually. Her go-to outfit is jeans, Chucks sneakers, and a band t-shirt with a casual jacket, usually denim. However, she can clean up pretty well, if invited somewhere fancy. Her hair is usually loose, though sometimes it is in a ponytail.
What is your character’s viewpoint on wealth?
She would say it is not necessary. She never had much of it but worked for everything she has. Her family was pretty much middle class; both parents worked. They helped her through college the first time, until she changed her major. Tabitha would say that there is nothing wrong with wealth, when one has worked for it. However, no one should look down on those who lack it, because you never know what circumstances got them there.
What is your character’s family like?
She loves her family. Her parents are gone, though. They both passed away at the same time, together, in an airplane crash. Then, there’s her younger brother. She loves him and would do almost anything to help him. He has, at times, been a lost soul. It’s the only reason they are not close now despite being really close as kids. He did not react well to the loss of their parents a few years before.
What is your heroine’s biggest personal flaw?
My heroine, Tabitha is a little hot-tempered, however, her biggest flaw is sometimes she doesn’t think before she speaks. She is a little opinionated at times. It’s something she has had to work on, considering the places she has been and the things she has seen recently….but that is a story for another time.
How does your character handle challenges?
Tabitha’s adulthood has brought a lot of changes to her life, some of them quite challenging. She always faces up to the challenges; having said that, she is not one to gloss over how she is feeling. She will not hide her emotions and considers it downright unhealthy to do so. She will go through what she must, feel what she is feeling, and then come out on the other side of the issue. Tabitha will always get through the hard times.
Does your character see moral matters as black and white or shades of gray?
Tabitha follows a golden rule: Do not hurt others if there is another way. The question was brought up to her in a college class: Would you do anything to protect a family member? In other words, do the means justify an end? Her answer was no. It surprises people because she is considered hot-tempered. She believes there is almost always a better way and tries to take the high road. Would she kill another person to protect a family member? No. She would say that with our thinking capacities as humans it is our duty to find another way. Some call her too idealistic. However, she would not hesitate to throw a punch to protect herself or someone she loves. I think it makes perfect sense.

About Your Writer: Questions for your character to answer about you.

To honor the person who chose to share your story, please answer at least four of these questions. Questions with more than one point should be considered one question. You may answer as many more as you like.
Why do you think your writer chose to write about you?
I think she created me because I am unlike her in many ways, maybe I am a part of her that she never let out. You know, the opinionated, loud-mouth girl without a filter. That’s really not like her.
Was there anything your writer discovered about you that was a surprise to one or both of you?
She discovered how important family is to me. I don’t think I surprised her too much, because she’s that way, too. She gave me all these contrasting traits. I suppose that’s because I am moody. Nothing wrong with that!
Why do you think your writer loves to write?
I think she likes to explore the many contingencies that can create an outcome. Sci-fi really allows that, especially with time travel stories. Perhaps she likes to create worlds and see things through the eyes of a character that is unlike herself.
