    Age: Over 50
    Gender: Female
    Birthplace: New York
    Profession: Psychiatrist
    Ethnicity: American
    About the character:
Paige Lyman is a gorgeous redhead. She’s over fifty and now in semi-retirement, but is still an object of fascination to her daughter, Diane. She possesses the loveliest pair of legs on Riverside Drive, and when she wears skirts, which she does often, even young men from nearby Columbia University turn to stare. It amazes Diane that her mother’s stunning head of hair still causes whispers in elevators. What she doesn’t know is that Paige had an unusual childhood, and it is about to catch up with her…
Who is the significant other in your character’s life?
Stern W. (the man she thought she married)
    How does your hero dress?
She is trendy, and always makes the effort to look beautiful and elegant
How educated is this character? Is she book smart, self-taught, widely-experienced?
She holds a PhD in psychiatry and is widely-experienced
What is your character’s family like?
It’s a close-knit family – an expatriate father and a devoted mom. She is an only child.
    Is she close to family?
She remained close to her parents as long as they lived
    Does she have children?
    She has a daughter, Diane
Does this character see morality as black-and-white, or with shades of gray?
She does not see morality as black-and-white; she, in fact, comes across as someone with questionable morality
If someone from your character’s past showed up, who would she most want it to be, and why? OR who would she most NOT want it to be, and why?
If someone from her past showed up, she would most definitely want it to be her childhood crush, Bill, because she’d never recovered from his abandonment

About Your Writer: Questions for your character to answer about you.

Why do you think your writer chose to write about you?
I think he found my life story compelling
What do you wish your writer had not told others about you?
I wish he didn’t dwell so much on the naughty things I did for vengeance
Was there anything your writer discovered about you that was a surprise to one or both of you?
He was surprised that I could not fall out of love with Bill when he abandoned me for priesthood, seeing as we were just kids when it happened. To be honest, it surprised me too, but then, love is a mystery, an indecipherable mystery
Is there anything you’d like to say to your writer?
Well, thank you for giving your readers a portrait of my life, warts and all.

Tell us about Take Back the Memory

The saga of a compelling backward journey through a broken mind…
Paige Lyman, an accomplished psychiatrist, is on the verge of madness but she doesn’t know it yet. The madness begins when she gets it into her head to write her memoirs. As her brilliant mind assembles bits and pieces of her life for the book, ugly skeletons, long forgotten in the closet, rear their heads.
It all begins with a simple act of love. And love, for her is a blond-haired Irish boy named Bill, so when Bill abandons her for priesthood, the world around her collapses. Seized by a different passion—vengeance—she seeks her proverbial pound of flesh in the beds of various priests.
But that’s before she meets Stern W, a medical researcher, who sweeps into her life like a hurricane and marries her. And they live happily after until he dies in a helicopter crash and she discovers the startling truth about who he really was. Now, Paige, transformed from psychiatrist to patient, is saddled with a damning memory she must decipher to be free.
Take Back the Memory is the saga of her compelling backward journey through her own life on a psychotherapist’s couch.

Introducing Stephan von Haas from Alpha Mine, by Brenda Sparks @brenda_sparks #RLFblog #PNRLet’s meet Stephan von Hass from Alpha Mine, a paranormal romance, by Brenda Sparks. Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about the story your author wrote.

    Alpha Mine by Brenda Sparks

    Genre Paranormal Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

In the shadows of the night, there exists a band of warriors–a group of vampires, known as the Alpha Council. Their formidable leader, Stephan von Haas, has vowed to protect not only his kind, but the humans existing alongside them. His duty comes before all else–until a sassy blonde saunters into his life.
When a sensual, dark-haired stranger walks into Katrina Spencer’s life, he stirs her deepest desires and sweeps her into a world beyond her wildest dreams. But when Katrina is targeted by Stephan’s enemies, reality shifts into something violent and deadly, as she is thrust into a realm where vampires stalk the shadows and vengeance is coming for her.
Together they will confront an extraordinary destiny of peril, passion, and dark pleasures. But when one horrid mistake brings retribution, their love may pay the price.

    Introducing Stephan von Haas

    Please tell me about yourself.
Age: 650ish…I think. Honestly, I stopped counting after my 300th birthday.
    Gender: Male
    Birthplace: Germany
    Profession: Entrepreneur
    Ethnicity: Caucasian
    Species (for scifi/fantasy characters): vampire
    What do you look like?
I’m a 6 ft 5 in warrior with dark brown hair and sapphire-blue eyes. I may be over 600 years old, but I’m told I don’t look a day over 35.
Who is the significant other in your life?
Katrina Spencer is my heartmate. She is amazing. She’s a strong-willed, leggy blonde, with gray-blue eyes that will draw you in. She is kind and loving. The day I found out she was my heartmate, was one of the luckiest days of my life.
    Are you book-smart, self-taught, widely-experienced?
Yes. You don’t live hundreds of years without learning in multiple ways. I believe in learning everything the world has to offer.
What is your viewpoint on wealth?
I live extravagantly. I am fortunate to have a lot, but I am generous. I believe in giving back, helping others. It’s part of the reason why I established the Alpha Council, to help those who can’t help themselves.
On what special skills do you rely?
My fighting skills. Being the leader of the Alpha Council is a great responsibility. I must not only lead the men, but also lead the fight. I work hard to make sure I stay in top fighting shape and keep my skills as sharp as the blades I carry.
What past event causes you the most fear?
My heartmate was kidnapped and tortured. I’ve never been so scare. If anything happened to Katrina, I could not be held responsible for what I would do.
    What is your biggest need?
To make the world a safer place, a place where my heartmate (and one day my children) can move about without fear for their safety.
If you could make any one thing happen, what would it be?
I would give my heartmate the child she so desperately wants. Unfortunately, having children is biologically difficult for vampires.

Introducing Jericho Drake from Drakon's Knight, by NJ Walters @njwaltersauthor #RLFblog #PNRLet’s meet Jericho Drake from Drakon’s Knight, a paranormal romance, by NJ Walters. Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about the story your author wrote.

    Drakon’s Knight by NJ Walters

    Genre Paranormal Romance/Dragon shifter
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Drakon Jericho Drake, the child of a pure-blood dragon and human, has a simple plan: Kill the leader of the Knights of the Dragon and start a war. Except, when he meets his target, Karina Azarov, she can’t remember who she is. Worst of all––he can’t kill her. His dragon side has just claimed the dangerous woman as his mate.
Karina has no idea why these Drakon’s have taken her to their home. And she most certainly does not understand why she’s so drawn to her captor. Maybe because he’s strong, intelligent, and caring, in his enigmatic sort of way. One thing she knows, he’s not going to hurt her. If only she could remember something from her past that would explain why these Drakon’s hate her so much.
But if her memory returns, mated or not, he may get his war.. And one of them will die.

    Introducing Jericho Drake

    Please tell me about yourself.
Age: 4000 years, give or take a few
    Gender: male
Birthplace: A place that no longer exists
Profession: Assassin and Real Estate Mogul
    Ethnicity:
Species (for scifi/fantasy characters): I’m a drakon, the son of a dragon and a human woman.
    What do you look like?
In my human, form I’m 6’10” with jet black hair and black eyes. I have a tattoo that covers the left side of my body from my neck to my ankles. It’s a birthmark and is a swirling pattern in red outlined in black. The red signifies I’m a fire drakon. The black is the same color of my eyes.
Who is the significant other in your life?
Karina Azarov. Touch her and it will be the last thing you ever do.
    Are you book-smart, self-taught, widely-experienced?
I’ve lived a very, very long time. Whatever I need to learn I’ve taught myself or found someone to teach me. Drakons have phenomenal memories. That’s made it easier to adapt and change with the times.
Do you get by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?
I’ve slept on the hot desert sands and eaten figs. I’ve stayed in 5-star hotels and in the palaces of kings. And I’ve enjoyed both experiences. I have homes all over the world and plenty of money, but I could live without any of it. It’s easy to make money. It’s the people I care about who are important. Okay, and my custom Harley. I do love my bike. It’s the closest thing there is to flying without having to unleash my wings.
    What is your family like?
I have four half brothers I’ve never met and three men I’ve called brothers my entire life. We may not be related by blood, but they’re my family. I would die for them.
Can you keep a secret? Why or why not?
I’m a drakon. Of course I can keep a secret. It’s what we do, who we are. Not many people know about us and we like to keep it that way.
What inner doubt causes you the most difficulty?
For years, I wondered why my half brothers didn’t bother to look for me. I mean, they found one another but not me. First I was hurt. Then I was angry. Took me a few thousand years—okay four thousand—to get past it. I decided it was finally time to meet them. I concocted this entire elaborate plan. I was going to kill our greatest enemy and toss that in their face. Yeah, that plan didn’t exactly go as I thought it would.
What would you like to tell your writer?
You couldn’t make it easy, could you? After all my years of waiting, my fated mate had to be my greatest enemy. Only she can’t remember anything about her life. It messed me up for a while. I guess you had your reasons. And since I’m happy with the way things turned out, I’ll let you live.

Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about the story your author wrote.

    Lyrical Embrace by Amber Daulton

    Genre Romantic Suspense
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG-13
Out-of-work violinist Erica Timberly decides enough is enough. She leaves her abusive boyfriend and flees the big city, but then her car breaks down in the middle of the night. Though wary of men, she accepts help from Dylan Haynes, a stranger driving by on the road, and soon recognizes him as the sexy former drummer of her favorite indie rock band. Maybe, just maybe, her run of bad luck is finally turning around.
Music teacher Dylan Haynes knows Erica is in trouble, and her black eye is only the first clue. The stubborn yet vulnerable woman needs a friend, but he’s determined to give her everything she deserves.
Will Erica listen to the music in her heart and trust Dylan, or will her past always threaten her future?

    Introducing Erica Timberly

    Please tell me about yourself.

    Age: 23
    Gender: Female
    Birthplace: New Jersey
    Profession: Violinist
    Ethnicity: Caucasian
    What do you look like?
I have long blonde hair and green eyes. I’m five-feet-eight and a little chunky. My hips are too round for my liking, and though I’m self-conscious about it, I’m happy with my body for the most part.
Who is the significant other in your life?
Dylan Haynes. He was my rock star dream guy for years. After we finally met and started dating, I realized he was so much more beneath the arrogant swagger and very different from my fantasy.
Please tell us about your education.
I have an associate’s degree in Classical Music from a community college in New York City. I wanted to continue my education, but life got in the way. Maybe I’ll return to school in the future.
Are any of your skills a source of pride or embarrassment, and if so, which ones and why?
I play the violin, cello, and other strings. My mother taught me to play the violin when I was younger, but then I received lessons as a teenager. I’m very proud of my musical accomplishments.
    Are you close to family?
My dad and I butted heads a lot when I was teen. He and my mom divorced when I was younger, and then Mom died a few years later. After that, I had to live with Dad and his new wife Mindy, the woman he cheated on my mom with. They have two sons together, but the boys are over ten years younger than me, so we were never close. Even though I still resent my dad for breaking up my parents’ marriage, I’ve opened the doors for reconciliation, mostly at Dylan’s urging.
What past event causes you the most fear?
It’s hard to talk about, but I spent a year in a physically abusive relationship with my ex-boyfriend, Phil. At first, he was sweet and charming. We dated for about a year, and though he kept secrets, I was too foolish and shy to confront him about it. Then I moved in with him, and everything changed. He wanted me to wear my hair differently, wear different clothes, and to quit my job. When I refused, he would hit me and call me names. That was the worse year of my life, and I knew it would only get worse as time went on. I had to break away. To do so, I left everything behind, jumped in my car, and hit the road. I wound up in Vermont and made a fresh start, but I was always worried Phil would find me, and he eventually did. Luckily, Dylan and I survived that ordeal.
What would you like people who hear your story to know?
I’m just a normal, average woman—nothing special about me in that regard—but there are countless women just like me in the world. They’re involved in toxic relationships with people claiming to love them, and they often feel trapped or believe they don’t deserve anything better in their lives. I hope readers who have experienced any type of abuse either in the past or right now will find some hope and encouragement from my story. Everyone deserves a happy ending and a chance to heal, whether that means breaking free from a dangerous cycle of wrong choices, reuniting with loved ones, or moving on from past hurts. You may have a bumpy road ahead, but all you can do is try.

Under a Blood Moon by Brenda Sparks

    Genre Paranormal Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Tall, strong, and powerful, Caden is the last werewolf on earth most people would ask for a favor. As the leader of his pack, it is his job to keep the pack members safe—and Caden takes his job very seriously. But when a ballsy stranger shows up on his doorstep begging for help, he cannot turn her away. Unfortunately, helping her means blurring the lines of pack law and with the Blood Moon setting everyone on edge, pack rule is precarious enough.
Once a member of a formidable pack, Kate now finds herself an outsider. When her brother is imprisoned by his Alpha for helping her, it’s up to Kate to come to his rescue. Alone and lost, it seems Kate’s stars have aligned when she stumbles upon Caden—until he refuses to help. With her brother’s life in escalating peril and Kate’s faith in Caden shattered, Caden will have to risk everything while facing the most intense fight of his life…the battle for Kate’s heart.
Under a Blood Moon is part of a collection of short romance stories in Summer Solstice: A Limited Edition Collection of Fantasy and Paranormal Romances.

    Introducing Caden

    Please tell me about yourself.
    Age: 35
    Gender: Male
    Birthplace: Logan Pass, Montana
    Profession: Mechanic
    Ethnicity: Caucasian
    Species (for scifi/fantasy characters): Werewolf
    What do you look like?
My mate, Kate, has described me as having a square jaw and royal-blue eyes. She says I’m handsome even though I have a scar that runs down my left cheek. I don’t know about that, but I’m glad she thinks so. My hands are large and calloused from years of hard work. At six foot six, most people would say I’m a big guy who can fight and live to tell the tale.
Who is the significant other in your life?
Katherine Archer. She’s a feisty werewolf, with beautiful emerald-green eyes and the softest strawberry-blonde hair. I’d do anything for her, not just because she’s my mate, but because I adore and love her endlessly.
Do you get by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?
I live comfortably. Being part of a pack, we all work and contribute to the pack members’ well-being. No one wants for anything. We watch out for each other.
    Do you have children?
Kate and I do not have any whelps yet, but if she has her way, I’m sure we will soon. And I can’t wait!
Can you keep a secret? Why or why not?
I can absolutely keep a secret. Humans cannot know about the existence of werewolves. We are all taught the importance of keeping secrets from the time we learn to speak.
What secrets do you know about people around you that you do NOT share?
*chuckles* I’ll never tell. (Um, did you see my response to the previous question?)
What are your biggest hopes and dreams?
I dream of a time when Kate and I have a large, stable pack. I want to give her the life she deserves, one where she feels safe and loved and wants for nothing.

I was raised by my foster parents. My parents were killed in a car accident. That’s how I met Francine at one of the foster kid parties. My foster parents put me through school and treated me like their own.
How do others perceive you based upon looks, and is this assumption accurate?
My friends France and Amy feel that I dress like a teenager. They say my skirt and dresses are too short. I don’t see it that way. I have the figure to wear them, so why not.
Can you keep a secret? Why or why not?
Absolutely. When France, Amy and I found the dealer door and the basement, it was imperative that they guys didn’t find out. I would take that secret to my grave.
What inner doubt causes you the most difficulty?
Trusting a man. Eric is a nice guy but there’s something about him that makes her doubt her inner feelings, especially after finding out her marriage was a complete farce with her husband’s deception.
    What is your biggest need?
My biggest need is to find a trustworthy and loving man who I can have a lasting relationship with.
What would you like to tell your writer?
I’d like to tell her that I love the character you have developed me into. The outfits she puts me in are awesome. I just wish she would introduce me to a nice honest man.
What would you like people who hear your story to know?
I want them to know they don’t have to settle. Love will come your way when you least expect it. Never put yourself on the short end of the stick and believe and love yourself and trust your instincts.
