I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

Welcome David Quinn from Sun Storm, a new romantic suspense

    David Quinn
    Age: 33 years old
    Gender: Male
    Birthplace: Denver, Colorado
Profession: A beekeeper after spending 15 years with the US Army Special Forces
    Ethnicity:
    Species (for scifi/fantasy characters):
Please provide a physical description of yourself.
I’m 5’11 tall with sandy, shoulder-length hair, and a scruffy beard. I’m lean and fit. I have light green eyes, and can scare people with a look. My friends call that look my death stare. I was grazed by a bullet in Afghanistan which left me with a long scar across one side of my face. It parts my beard with a jagged white line.
Please tell us a little about your character.
I’m tired of killing, death and danger. I feel like I’ve been fighting my whole life. First when I killed my stepfather for abusing my twin sister. After that we ran away from home and lived rough on the streets of Granite City, Montana. I need some peace in my life. That’s why I didn’t want to get involved with Marie, but she was in trouble. I took one look at her soft brown eyes and knew I had to save her.
Who is the significant other in David Quinn’s life?
Dr. Marie Wilson is very pretty although she doesn’t seem to realize it. She’s also a genius with two PhD’s one in Mechanical engineering, and the other in organic chemistry. She’s been sheltered by her rich father, but has never been loved. She has invented a small solar panel that can fit into a backpack and generates enough electricity to power an office building. She’s very naive and doesn’t seem to realize the consequences of her actions. She thought everyone would welcome her invention, but she was wrong. There are powerful people who will kill to stop her prototype being commercially developed.
How educated is this character? Is he book smart, self-taught, widely-experienced?
David received his GED while housed at a Granite City charity, Marshall House. He got his degree in business through the GoArmyEd program, which allows soldiers to earn their degree while serving.
Does he scrape by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?
He’s not rich, but has enough money to survive. He’s a man with very few needs. He doesn’t care about clothes or luxuries. He owns a ten acre parcel of land near Missoula, Montana. There’s a small camper on the land and a stream nearby to bathe in. He owns five beehives, which is a great start to his beekeeping business.
What does he have a knack for doing?
Surviving. He’s the ultimate survivor. He survived the hardships of living on the streets and he also survived getting shot in the face when he was with the Special Forces.
What is your character’s family like?
David’s father died when he was eight. His mom remarried when he was twelve, and died a year later. When he was fourteen he caught his stepfather trying to rape his twin sister, Sinclair. The Twins ran away, and made it to Granite City before they ran out of money. When they were living on the street they met Michael and Tim. The four of them stuck together, looking after each other. Later they joined the army where they met Finn Callaghan. The five of them have been family ever since.
How do others perceive your character based upon looks? How true is this assumption?
He believes his facial scars reveal the monster he has become. He has a very threatening demeanor, which he developed as a teen when he was living on the streets. Most people are scared of him, which suits him just fine. He’s puzzled as to why Marie can see through his facade.
Does your character care about those assumptions?
No, he doesn’t care what anyone thinks, except Marie. He cares about her. In spite of himself he wants her to like him. He can’t help it. Without trying she has gotten under his skin.
What inner doubt causes your character the most difficulty?
He’s scared that his ability to survive translates into an ability to kill. He refuses to carry a weapon because he doesn’t want to kill anymore. He’s so tired of death.

About Your Writer: Questions for David Quinn to answer about you.

To honor the person who chose to share your story, please answer at least four of these questions.
Why do you think your writer chose to write about you?
Because she’s nuts. She could have written about a classically handsome man who was charming and had his act together, but she wrote about a burned out ex-soldier who’s struggling to come to terms with his actions in combat.
Why do you think your writer loves to write?
Once again, I think she’s nuts. She loves writing and at the same time she hates it. It’s a weird compulsion. One she wishes she could ignore. But the characters make up stories in her head, especially at night when she’s trying to sleep.
What other character from your book do you think your writer should write a book about? Care to tell us why?
She plans to write stories about all the members of my adopted family. We’re all street kids who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. We all have stories to tell about how we ended up on the street and how we’re going to find happiness. Tim’s story, Fire Storm, is next, and then she’s going to explore Michael and Sinclair’s romance in Wind Storm. The last book, Storm Surge, will be Finn and Kennedy’s story. She’s already written about how Finn and Kennedy met in the novella, The Wedding Deception.

Meet Mason Harding from Arresting Mason by Amber Daulton @amberdaulton1 #RLFblog #RomanticSuspense

Meet Mason Harding from Arresting Mason by Amber Daulton @amberdaulton1 #RLFblog #RomanticSuspenseWelcome Mason from Arresting Mason, a new romantic suspense by Amber Daulton.

    Introducing Mason Harding

    Age: 29
    Gender: Male
    Birthplace: Aurora, Colorado
    Profession: Mechanic
    Ethnicity: Caucasian
Please provide a physical description of yourself.
Mason has dark brown spiky hair, emerald-green eyes, and a tan from his job. He’s six feet tall, muscled and tattooed, and a few old scars cover his chest.
Please tell us a little about your character.
Mason made some foolish mistakes as a teenager, and then ended up in jail. Though he joined a prison gang, he gave it up after the State released him on parole. He’s doing his best stay out of trouble, but the people from his past aren’t ready to let him go.
Who is the significant other in your character’s life?
Mia Eddison is a feisty boutique owner who sees past Mason’s hard, cocky shell for the kind, vulnerable man he is inside.
How educated is this character? Is he book smart, self-taught, widely-experienced?
Mason dropped out of high school but earned his GED in prison. He used a lot of his spare time to read law books and literary classics in the prison library. Though he doesn’t have much formal education, he’s self-taught and highly intelligent.
What special skills does your character rely on?
Mason knows how to fight, and that comes in handy for him when he and Mia are in trouble.
What is your character’s family like?
Mason has an overprotective older brother, Alan, who is determined to make Mason walk a straight and narrow line. He has a young nephew who is absolutely adorable, and a former brother-in-law whom he considers a close friend. He’s not close with his parents, but Mia and Alan are trying to get him to reconcile with his mom.
Does this character see morality as black-and-white, or with shades of gray?
Shades of gray. He’s made too many mistakes and done too many bad things to see the world as straight forward as black-and-white.
How do others perceive your character based upon looks? How true is this assumption?
Most women find him hot and only care about the exterior packaging, and most men find him shady or dangerous. These assumptions are correct. Mason is one sexy man, and he’s hiding a bunch of secrets that could cost him his life. Deep down, however, he’s a good man and determined to do everything in his power to protect those he loves from his past.
Does your character care about those assumptions?
No. Mason doesn’t care what anyone thinks about him, except for Mia and his brother. He wants them to think of him as a good person.
What is your hero’s biggest personal flaw?
His temper. Mason gets angry way too quick and says things he regrets.
What is your hero’s breaking point?
Mason wants to live his life under the radar from cops and criminals alike, but when Mia’s life is threatened, he reverts to his old ways to save her. He would do anything for her, no matter the price to his own soul.

About Your Writer: Questions for your character to answer about you.

To honor the person who chose to share your story, please answer at least four of these questions. Questions with more than one point should be considered one question. You may answer as many more as you like.
Why do you think your writer chose to write about you?
Because I’m sexy. No, not buyin’ that? All right, well, let’s see. I think my writer, Amber, chose to write about me because everyone deserves a second chance at life and to right their wrongs. I’ve made mistakes, I’ll be the first to admit it, and Amber wanted to show my redemption. I can’t thank her enough for it.
What do you wish your writer had not told others about you?
That’s a loaded question. Though I like Amber a lot, she deserves a spanking for revealing all the crap I’ve been through, but the main thing I wish she would’ve kept just between us is the incident in the shower room. I was still in prison at the time, and a few pricks attacked me. Though I managed to fight them off before they got what they wanted from me, it was the most humiliating experience of my life, and not something I wanted blasted all over the Internet. But since you can read about it in my book, I guess I’m all right with telling ya about it here.
When your writer is writing about you, what do you think makes your writer the most happy? What makes your writer the most sad?
Amber loves writing about me and Mia, either when we’re in the bedroom or just having dinner together. She’s a hopeless romantic. Each time she would write about my past, however, she would cry a little, and I know it hurt her to share my secrets.
What other character from your book do you think your writer should write a book about? Care to tell us why?
Jim Borden, Mia’s arrogant brother and my parole officer, needs a lady love to knock him down a few pegs, and I would love to read that story! My brother, Alan, deserves a story too. He’s raising his son alone after his ex-wife skipped town, and I would do anything to see Alan happy with a good woman at his side.
Listen up, and I’ll let you in on a little secret. Amber is one smart cookie, and she’s already hard at work editing Jim’s and Alan’s stories. Just wait. They’re going to be great!

Meet Mikhail Matheson from Wolf of Her Own by NJ Walters @njwaltersauthor #RLFblog #PNR

Meet Mikhail Matheson from Wolf of Her Own by NJ Walters @njwaltersauthor #RLFblog #PNRLet’s meet Mikhail Matheson from Wolf of her Own by NJ Walters, a new Paranormal Romance. Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. I’d like to get to know you better. Let’s talk.

About Wolf of her Own by NJ Walters

    Title Wolf of her Own
    Genre Paranormal Romance/Shapeshifter
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Mikhail Matheson may be an outsider in Salvation, but he stays with the pack to be close to his sister. It has nothing to with the fact that Elise—the most fascinating woman he’s ever laid eyes on—is part of the pack. Mikhail has wanted Elise for years, but being with her could cost him his life. Soon he’ll have to decide if he’s going to leave the pack or risk it all to pursue a place at her side.
After escaping her abusive mate, Elise LaForge has made a home in Salvation with her sons. She never expected to have her emotions stirred up by the always serious and seriously handsome Mikhail. But can she finally put her past behind her and dare to move on?
When danger creeps into the pack, both she and Mikhail have to be willing to sacrifice everything to have a chance at love.

    Introducing Mikhail Matheson

Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. I’d like to get to know you better. Please tell me about yourself.
Age: 62 But because he’s a werewolf he looks in his 40s.
    Gender: Male
    Birthplace: Sitka, Alaska
Profession: Former wilderness guide, now a furniture maker.
    Ethnicity: Caucasian
    Species (for scifi/fantasy characters): Werwolf
Please provide a physical description of yourself.
*shrugs* I’m 6’3″ and about 240lbs. My hair is dark brown with streaks of gray, which I blame on my much younger sister. My eyes are green.
    Tell us about yourself, please.
I spent most of my life in the Alaskan wilderness guiding humans and trying to stay out of the way of my packmates. I would have left years ago if it weren’t for my sister. When she was forced to run from the pack I followed her to Salvation, North Carolina. I liked the pack she joined, so I stayed.
Who is the significant other in your life?
That would be Elise LaForge, the most amazing woman you’ll ever meet. She makes a hell of a fantastic pie, too.
    Are you book-smart, self-taught, widely-experienced?
I don’t have a whole lot of formal education beyond the basics. I went to work from the time I was a teenager, guiding folks through the Alaskan wilderness. I’ve read and learned whatever I’ve needed to in order to survive.
Do you get by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?
I never needed much. I prefer to spend most of my time outside. Never had a home of my own, as I travelled a lot and wanted to stay close to my sister to watch out for her. I’ve always made money and banked it, so I have more than enough to live on. I’m not afraid of hard work. I want more now that I have my sights set on Elise LaForge. A man wants to give his woman whatever she wants or needs. Problem is, she already has pretty much everything she could want, except me. She needs someone to love her.
    Are you close to family?
The only family I’m close to is my sister, Rina. I was never close to my parents, even less so after I found out they tried to make my sister mate with a wolf while I was away, forcing her to run. Needless to say, there won’t be any family reunions any time soon. I finally found Rina with the Salvation Pack. She’s happy here. I’m happy for her, but I want some of that happiness for myself.
Do you care about what others assume about you?
I’ve never cared what anyone thought of me until now. Now I care what Elise thinks. I want her to love and accept me and know that I see the amazingly strong and sexy woman she is, even if she doesn’t always see it herself.
Can you keep a secret? Why or why not?
Hell yes, I can keep a secret. I’m a werewolf. I don’t exactly run around telling people that. An even bigger secret is my relationship with Elise. I don’t care who knows, but she does. She worries about her sons and how they’d react if they found out about us. And since her eldest son is the pack alpha that could lead to some trouble. The secret won’t last long. It can’t in a pack as close-knit as this one.
Who in your life has the power to hurt you the most and why?
The person who could hurt me the most is Elise. I don’t know what I’d do if I ever lost her. A wolf isn’t meant to be alone, but there is no other woman in the world for me but her. I waited over sixty years to find her. I never understood just how lonely I was until I met her. She’s my heart.

Introducing Avarice Licciardi from Avarice and Charity by Faye Hall @FayeHall79 #RLFblog #Australian Historical Romance

Let’s meet Avarice Licciardi from Avarice and Charity, an Australian Historical Romance by Faye Hall. Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about the story your author wrote.

Avarice and Charity by Faye Hall

    Genre Australian Historical Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Would you protect the one you love from relentless greed?
Avarice Licciardi worked for his father, Antonio – a greedy, loveless man who destroyed everyone in his way. When Avarice met Charity, a woman with fiery red hair and the touch of an angel, he discovered there was something he craved so much more than his father’s money. What he wanted was this woman.
When Antonio ordered his son to get the hidden papers in Charity’s estate, Avarice refused. That was until Antonio threatened to go get the papers himself. Knowing the brutality of his father, Avarice went to Charity’s estate, ready to protect her at all cost. When she invited him to stay with her, he hoped to find nights of endless passion. What he found was a hidden tunnel with incriminating mysteries far greater than hidden papers.
Charity Bohdan lived up to her name, giving her herbal medicinal treatments freely. What started off as patching up wounds soon took a very different direction when she was being called to treat young women who’d been brutally raped and left pregnant. She knew the risks involved with treating and re-homing these women, but until she could find the monster attacking them, she could see no other choice.
When Charity was called to treat a drunk’s wounded hand, she expected to find some elderly station hand. Who she met was Avarice. As she treated his wound, she couldn’t ignore just how handsome he was, or the feelings he stirred in her when their skin touched. The more time they spent together, talking of Irish legends and going on picnics, Charity could feel herself losing her heart to him.
Together Avarice and Charity are forced to uncover secrets from the past that sicken their souls as an evil, greedy man threatens to tear them apart in his search for the evidence hidden in the Bohdan estate.

If we could only hear your voice (but not see you) what characteristic would identify you?
My slight Italian accent. I was raised to speak fluent Italian and English.
What is your viewpoint on wealth?
I know how important it is to be able to live a comfortable life, but I have also seen the destruction and heartache it can cause.
    What is your family like?
My father, Antonio, is a very cruel man who thinks his power gives him the right to treat people as possessions. My mother was a beautiful, kind hearted woman who embraced her Irish heritage.
What would you like people who hear your story to know?
Despite the way my father raised me, I have tried to make better of myself and right the wrongs I was once foolish enough to commit. I have also tried to keep my mother’s memory alive by educating myself on the legends of her ancestors.

    Please provide a physical description.
Emery is blonde and curvy, with blue eyes.
Please tell us a little about your character.
She’s a free spirit, unconventional in many ways but influenced by her traditionalist family. Emery loves to wear skimpy outfits, adores being silly as often as possible, and geeks out on superhero movies. Getting laid off from her job freed her from the daily grind but has left her broke and rudderless.
Who is the significant other in your character’s life?
His name is Rory MacTaggart, and he’s the second-oldest sibling in the MacTaggart clan. He’s also the only brother who hasn’t found a new wife, and the only one with three failed marriages in his past. He marries Emery to stop his family from pestering him to get a wife.
    How does your heroine dress?
Emery likes to say she enjoys being as naked as possible at all times — without getting arrested, of course! She loves short-shorts and short skirts, but she also goes for jeans and a T-shirt when she wants to be super comfy.
    How educated is this character?
Emery has a bachelor’s degree in computer programming, but her knowledge of all things ComicCon is entirely self-taught.
Does she scrape by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?
Since getting laid off from her job, she’s running out of money. For years, she focused on paying off her student loans — at the cost of not having much fun. She lives in a tiny, one-room apartment, at least until she accepts Rory’s scandalous offer for a marriage of convenience.
What is your character’s family like?
Emery comes from a loving family with two parents who are still married, and a younger sister who’s married with two twin daughters. She knows her family will do anything for her, and she feels the same about them.
    Is she close to family?
In terms of their relationships with each other, yes. In terms of geography, no. Her parents live in Australia, and her sister lives in Germany.
If someone from your character’s past showed up, who would she most NOT want it to be, and why?
Emery hopes never to see her ex-boyfriend, Sebastian. The guy has serious issues and caused her a lot of grief.
Can your heroine keep a secret? If not, why not? If yes, why?
She can, but she hates secrets. They cause more trouble than they’re worth. This is why Emery insists she and Rory be totally honest with each other.
How emotionally expressive is your character to others?
Oh my, this girl has no qualms about showing her feelings! Emery hugs pretty much anybody who’s nice to her and tends to fling herself at her new husband whenever he does something sweet for her.
Who in her life has the power to hurt this character the most? Why?
That would be Rory, her new husband. Though she senses he has traumas in his past, he won’t talk about it. And his determination not to love her…Well, she worries that might drive him to break her heart even while his reluctant tenderness touches her deeply.

About Your Writer: Questions for your character to answer about you.

To honor the person who chose to share your story, please answer at least four of these questions. Questions with more than one point should be considered one question. You may answer as many more as you like.
Why do you think your writer chose to write about you?
She knows how much fun I am, and that Rory needs a weirdo for a wife. Who else could make him loosen up?
What do you wish your writer had not told others about you?
That thing with Sebastian… Ick. Did the world need to know about that?
Why do you think your writer loves to write?
Because we characters are awesome! Seriously, why else would anybody put up with our craziness? We make real people smile, laugh, cry, and sometimes want to smack us. But always, we’re loads of fun.
What do you wish your writer would write next?
Ooooh, that’s a hard one! Of course, I want more Hot Scots books. But I also love those paranormal stories. I am a ComicCon geek, after all, and can’t get enough of hunky guys with superpowers.
What other character from your book do you think your writer should write a book about? Care to tell us why?
Does Anna want me to spill the beans? Hmm…Not sure, but here goes! My new sister-in-law Jamie and her onetime boyfriend, the American Gavin Douglas, need a little bit of help with their broken romance. I told Anna I needed to meddle, just this once, and she’s letting me go crazy with it! Their story is Gift-Wrapped in a Kilt: A Hot Scots Christmas Tale, coming later this year.
