Why did you write this book?
The Groom is one of four books written by Muslim romance authors that center the holiday Ramadan. I wrote the main characters Mansur and Faiza’s story to show how the significance of the holy month to every aspect of Muslim life, including the most intimate.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Romance is my go-to genre. I love to read a range of books that highlight how people may fall or stay in love.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I don’t have one.
What are you working on at the moment?
I am hard at work getting the third book in the Open to Love series. Readers are itching for Rahmah’s story.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
Whew! I have quite the writing roster. I am thrilled to write my first post-apocalyptic time travel romance. I have wanted to venture into SciFi romance for so long. I am also preparing to release the fourth book in the Brothers in Law series, which will feature Brandon Hulse, the teddy bear of the friends.

Warm – not hot but a nice 84 degrees. Sunny. A hut on the beach where doughnuts and umbrella vodka drinks just appear. No cooking. Books – lots of books and time to read them.
What are your hobbies?
Journal making, crocheting, eating doughnuts, and making drinks with vodka.
What kinds of things do you read when you’re researching a new book?
It depends on the book. I’m currently working on the first book in a series where the heroine is a forensic account. I read forensic accounting for dummies – not one of my more exciting reads.

I live in the cold Northern Michigan (the place of four seasons – they lie! It’s just different levels of winter) with my husband. Our children have begun their own adventures, and just as I got into the swing of empty nest, then my grandson came to live with us. Now I’m doing 7 again… they argue everything just case you forgot. And I now remember why I eat doughnuts. When I’m not hanging out with the 7-year-old, I’m writing, reading, crocheting, and making self-care products. I also enjoy taking pictures, I’m not claiming to have a talent it’s just something I like to do.
