What's ahead on #RLFblog for 2021? New interviews and opportunities #books #authors2020 was a long year and I know you are glad to see it end. The Romance Lives Forever blog added three new interviews for 2021: MC (Motorcyle Club), Pockets & Purses, and Anthology/Boxed Sets. Download one that fits you or your characters.

Here’s where to get them. https://www.rlfblog.com/author-interviews/

For those interested in being on more blogs, check out the Book Promotion Directory (2021 Edition) by Deena Rae Schoenfeldt, which lists blogs by type, available post types, and more. RLF is one of the blogs listed. The book is available on Amazon and also wide.

    Social Media on RLFblog

The blog uses the hashtag #RLFblog, and the hashtags most often associated with it are #Romance #RomanticSuspense #suspense #historical #contemporary #PNR #paranormalromance #paranormal and #SciFi. Readers here love those genres, but there are dozens more.

Twitter generates about 85% of the traffic to the RLF website, mostly because it is fed from Triberr — which did a great job. Because of my followers, the tribemates I associate with and their followers, RLF has a reach of over three million. The program works because it brings new readers, and reminds current ones of new material. It provides an average of 45 – 50 mentions on Twitter every day, and since each post has the guest author’s Twitter handle in the title, that means the guest gets mentioned too. If you aren’t using Twitter, you’re not getting the full power of this blog’s reach. Please consider signing up, and while you’re there, I’d love it if you’d follow me. https://twitter.com/kayelleallen

Sign up for a book cover spot on the front page of RLF and take advantage of the traffic this blog generates. Did you know there are multiple authors who plan their appearances based on the dates of book releases? Why? Because RLFblog gets the word out about new books and helps authors get their name in front of readers. There’s a link on the upper left side of the blog that says Share your book cover with readers. Click that to reserve your spot.

Curse of Christmas by Lily Luchesi @LilyLuchesi #RLFblog #NewRelease #ParanormalRomance

Lily, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Ghosts in the Snow (Curse of Christmas boxed set).

Ghosts in the Snow (Curse of Christmas boxed set) by Lily Luchesi

    Genre paranormal ghost story

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): G

Welcome to the most magical season of all, when hearts are happy…and sometimes devoured. Join these New York Times, USA Today, and international bestselling authors for winter holiday stories of vampires, shapeshifters, witches, and more!

Why did you write this book?

When I was asked to join Curse of Christmas, my first instinct was to write a prequel to my main series, The Paranormal Detectives. I always wanted to write a Victorian gothic romance, and I was able to do that with Ghosts in the Snow.

Veronica and Vincent Cross want to have a joyful first Christmas as a married couple, but when the spirits who guard the house threaten to kill them both, it’s a race against the clock to banish the spirits before Christmas Eve.

What is your favorite genre to read?

    Horror, followed by urban fantasy.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

That’s like asking me to pick a favorite cookie or song. Jane Eyre, Mina Murray, Lestat di Lioncourt, Alexander Sterling, Nicky Sytx, Mr. Crepsley…

What are you working on at the moment?

Currently, I am finishing up Morgana’s Revenge, a YA LGBT+ historical fantasy, which is releasing March 20th in Just A Little Wicked, a boxed set featuring witches, which I am running.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

    The aforementioned Morgana’s Revenge.

Dead Memories, which will be in an untitled PNR/UFR boxed set. It follows my Paranormal Detectives character Angelica Cross as a teenager, attending paranormal summer camp.

Daunting Darkness, coming in July, which is a paranormal cozy mystery following a human named Paige as she becomes a private eye. Eventually, a paranormal murder case comes across her desk, and she has to find the killer before her friend is framed.
Make Me Bad is a slightly sci-fi horror novel coming on Halloween, following half-vampire Finn Lennox as he escapes torture from a sect trying to “make him tick”. He becomes a mortician, then a musician, all the while trying to evade the sect’s agents for two centuries.

Know the Hero from The Last Dragon by Daryl Devore @DarylDevore #RLFblog #Medieval #Fantasy #RomanceDiscover a knight, a dragon, and ancient sorceress and a heart-breaking secret in Daryl Devore’s medieval fantasy romance, The Last Dragon.

Daryl, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! We’re excited to find out more about your hero, but first, tell us about The Last Dragon.

The Last Dragon by Daryl Devore

    Genre Medieval Fantasy Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG

What do dragons, knights and romance have in common? Grab a copy of multi-published author Daryl Devore’s medieval fantasy romance – The Last Dragon and discover the answer.

A sorcerer craving dominance merged with a dragon, the power overwhelmed him causing him to split into three dragons. Demora ruled thought, but was lost in time. Yidithe offered protection, shining like the light of the sun. Ayrradex craved chaos, revelling in destroying souls.

Many knights died, attempting to slay the devil beast. One knight, Prince Hawkyns, did not fear death. He’d lost everything. Away on a mission when Ayrradex attacked his father’s kingdom, Penrythe, Hawkyns returned to find his noble father – feeble and defeated. His wise mother – crazed. His beautiful wife and unborn child – dead. Only a pile of ashes remained for him to bury. He knelt before his King and vowed to slay the devil-beast or be slain.

Derry was born with powers that terrified her parents. They delivered her to a nunnery to be raised in secret. Jathe, a wise sorceress, discovered the young girl and trained her to one day use the secret hidden in her soul.

Legends spoken around campfires hinted the sole way to destroy Ayrradex was when the hearts of a knight and a golden dragon became one. But after a vicious battle with Ayrradex, the golden dragon was thought to be dead.

Can Prince Hawkyns’s bravery and Derry’s powers end the reign of the devil-beast’s terror?

Know the Hero from The Last Dragon

Here are some fun questions to help us know your hero.

It’s late, he’s bored. What does he do?

Orders wine and food then puts his feet up close to the fire and discusses politics with his father, the king.

What kind of food would he impulse buy if hungry?

Buy? He’s a prince. Food is ordered whenever he wishes to eat.

Describe the kind of clothes he prefers to wear.

A simple tunic and leggings, easier to train in than the awkward suit of armour and less pretentious than formal court attire.

Does he know how to fix things?

He can right a wrong. He can slay a demon. But, fix a broken wheel on a wagon or shoe his horse, he has no clue.

He tried to do something and it went badly. Tell us about it.

When he had lived 12 summers, the devil demon dragon, Arraydex, attacked and he grabbed his sword and attempted to fight it. Being too young and too weak, the dragon quickly bested him. He was saved by…spoiler – can’t tell you.

How does he act around children he doesn’t know?

With proper court manners and compassion.

What is he like first thing in the morning?

When Hawkyns awakes, he is ready to face the challenges of a new day.

How does he handle things when in a “proper” social situation?

As a prince, he has courtly manners and is appropriate in every situation.

Valet or takes care of himself?

At the castle, he has a servant who looks after his needs. He is currently looking for a new squire to aid him in his duties as a knight.

    Necktie/cravat or open shirt?

What is a shirt? He wears a tunic when training with the other knights.

    Sleeves buttoned or rolled up?

In fancy court dress, there are buttons, but in his day to day wear his sleeves are rolled up to facilitate sparring or battle.

    Powdered wig or natural hair?

Natural hair. Kept at proper length when at court, but often it is shaggier when he is away on long military campaigns.

    Carriage or horseback?

Horseback on his faithful steed, Gladur.

Thanks for helping us get to know your hero!

Know the Heroine from A Very Alien Christmas by Tricia Schneider @TriciaSchneider #RLFblog #holidayromance

An alien and an elf work together to save Christmas in Tricia Schneider’s newest sci-fi holiday romance novella in A Very Alien Christmas: A Limited Edition Collection of Holiday Alien Romances.

Tricia, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! We’re excited to find out more about your heroine, but first, tell us about The Alien and the Elf inside A Very Alien Christmas: A Limited Edition Collection of Holiday Alien Romance.

The Alien and the Elf by Tricia Schneider

    Genre Holiday Sci-Fi Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

My name is Noelle, and I’m an elf. I was minding my own business, testing a newly installed engine on Santa’s sleigh when it suffered a slight malfunction, and I found myself spiraling out of control.

Then a bright beam of light hits, and I’m taken onboard a spaceship. Jaxar is a sexy, to-die-for, green-skinned alien who thinks I’m intruding on his salvage.

He’s never met an elf. Well, I’ve never met an alien. With no way to get home, I need Jaxar’s help.

Can we work together to fix Santa’s sleigh in time to save Christmas?

It’s beginning to look a lot like … aliens for Christmas!

Get ready to set your holiday thrusters to hot! If you love alien romances, you’ll adore this brand-new collection of steamy alien novellas and short stories by New York Times, USA Today, and international bestselling authors.

Know the Heroine from A Very Alien Christmas

Here are some fun questions to help us know your heroine.

It’s late, she’s bored. What does she do?

Noelle likes to tinker. When she’s bored, she goes into Santa’s workshop and fixes things like broken toys or malfunctioning equipment. She also likes to invent things. She’ll take out a sketch pad and draw her ideas.

What kind of food would she impulse buy if hungry?

    Peppermint candy canes

Describe the kind of clothes she prefers to wear.

Standard issue elf clothing. Everything is green, red and white. Sometimes with a combination of stripes.

Does she know how to fix things?

She loves to fix things! It’s her job! She’s passionate about taking things apart to see how they work and then assembling it back together. She’s always full of ideas on how to make things work more efficiently.

She tried to do something and it went badly. Tell us about it.

Noelle finally talked Santa and the head elf into installing a new engine in the sleigh. Something that doesn’t require the magic reindeer for flight. She’s testing the engines when something goes wrong mid-flight and the engines stall. Smoke billows and she and the sleigh plummet to the Earth. Thankfully, Jaxar is in the area with his spaceship and beams her aboard.

How does she act around children she doesn’t know?

She loves children! She helps Santa deliver presents every year to children she doesn’t know. It pleases her beyond belief to make children happy.

What is she like first thing in the morning?

Noelle can be a bit of a grump until she has her peppermint mocha latte. Yes, even in the North Pole they drink coffee.

How does she act around people who don’t know what she is?

She doesn’t get away from the North Pole often, but when she does, as long as she keeps a hat on her head to cover her pointed elf ears, she can pass for human. She has a bubbly, optimistic attitude and doesn’t shy away from meeting new people… or aliens.

Will she let a worker handle things or do it herself?

Noelle is a team player. While she does tend to take control of a situation, she knows protocol. She didn’t take it upon herself to tinker with Santa’s sleigh. She got permission from the big boss first. After that, she enjoyed working on the new engine, but she didn’t work alone.

    Earrings/piercings/tattoos or unadorned skin?

No earrings or other piercings. She thought once about getting a candy cane tattooed on her behind, but never went through with it.

    Personal vehicle or public transport?

Santa’s sleigh isn’t her personal vehicle, but he’s been known to let his elves take it for a spin now and again. As long as they aren’t seen by humans.

    Recycle or toss?

Always recycle. Noelle is excellent at fixing or re-purposing broken toys and other items. She never throws anything away.

Thanks for helping us get to know your heroine!
